That was a sick way to finish a fight. He had him rocked bad, most people would have just pounded him out. Very nice.

How could that be impressive? Didn’t you know that mma was just two drunk fat guys swinging each other like teenage girls ;)
As for Gray Maynard, I’m a huge fan of his but his weakness is giving and defending submissions holds.

I have studied this for about 2 minutes. I am going to a Baltimore Orioles game in about 2 hours and plan to try this on a random Mariners fan.

amazing transition. Hopefully a future talent to see in years to come. I love that he didn’t just pound the guy out.

that was an amazing transition! props to him for not just ground and pounding the guy out like most fighters including myself would have done in that position.

aurelio is one tough s.o.b i dont think to many lightweights are anywere near of his level of jui jitsu except diaz who is close. hell that would be one hell of a fight. diaz vs aurelio fight of the year no doubt

I don’t even think diaz has his black belt yet.

Dude, isn’t this straight up theft? UFC has this fight on Demand and your showing it on your website like this? Get ready for a well-deserved lawsuit.

Absolutely amazing!!
I just wish that the majority of fans or people watching looking forward to the fights with blood or stand up knockouts. All finishes are nice but hopefully they will become more knowldegable fans and quit booing a great gound game.

Seattle people are too laid back to participate in any nonsense. You’ll have better luck waiting for the White Sox to come to town.

That was a fine piece of art right there. I’m not sure if that was textbook BJJ but damn.

Glorious display of submission skills, however he was facing a virtual nobody. I know the fight was taken on short notice by this kid, and obviously he had no place being there. Absolutely gorgeous armbar, but I don’t think that kid knew what he was getting himself into when he was facing an American Top Team Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu elite. I still want to see Aurelio face Spencer Fisher. I expect fireworks.

Glad to see that Maximus is finally starting to show his amazing world class ju jitsu skills which is what I was so excited about when he signed with the UFC. I think he is finally getting comfortable in the Cage, and I think they should step up the level of his competition.

i think if Maximus had been fighting like this, then Clay guida would have lost three in a row.
