Big fan of GSP, but I didnt care for that video. Well done, but the clips were so short I could only tell what was going on because I remember the fights. There was also way too much footage of him just walking into the arena and break dancing (as badass as it is).

LOL It’s just a highlight video dude. Many fighters have one. If the first thing that comes to your mind when you see a highlight video is “man love”, then you’ve got some issues. If you’re that offended, you can even make your own Serra highlight video for your own viewing pleasure!

the title is misleading IMO. its not a St. Pierre vs. Matt Serra UFC 83 video hype, its just a GSP highlight reel that had absolutely nothing to do with UFC 83 or Serra.

This is going to be an epic battle for two truly awesome ground fighters. Look for GSP to shoot and keep Sera off balance and just crush him with elboys!! That’s my prediction, but it should be a great fight nite!

Pete Sell is a c level fighter who should take up an english class…a mental midget is someone who is not intellegent..not someone lacking mental toughness and gsp’s fight strategies(except serra) have shown he’s very smart.
Also..if Serra did anything impressive in his career (besides knocking gsp out) they would have shown it and if you really think that Serra is going to win a decision you are a crackhead…his best shot is knocking him out again..he’s a good bjj guy but in mma he sucks balls at bjj and the proof is in him not subbing anyone in like 6 years and the person he subbed in ufc was a can. He won’t be able to out skill gsp because gsp is the better, stronger, faster fighter. This is mma and every guy can win but Serra outworking gsp to a decision is ilogical and almsot near impossible

Are you listening to what GSP is SAYING, he wants Serra at his BEST, he doesn’t want a FALSE victory against a 40% Serra like Serra did to him . Serra isn’t stupid and he knows he is fucked. I said GSP would own Hughes and Hughes would NEVER take him down, but I didn’t expect that kind of ownage.This is personal for GSP. They promote GSP as the champ because they know he will be champ on april 19. I know you hate GSP and think he is overrated,but he will CRUSH Serra. EVERYBODY goes through rough times in their lives and GSP went through one last april. You would have to be BLIND to think that was the REAL GSP. HE was messed up and Serra beat a messed up GSP fair and square. To bad for Serra, he AINT messed up NOW. GSP will OWN Serra on the 19th and I will see you on the 20th. PROBABLY NOT.

dude manny was probably just eager to fight. It could have been a classless act but i kind of doubt it. He is like a pitbull and he was eager to fight. and whoever this other ryan guy is commenting using my name, yeah, i dunno. haha. ne wayz i think GSP will probably win this and i cant beleive that some guy actually said that it would not only go to decision, but that the decision would go to matt serra! please bear in mind that this is a 5 ROUND title fight. I will be suprised if it goes into the 2nd or 3rd. I’m not saying matt serra won’t win, but if he does, it will NOT be by decison.

Some people are saying that Serra is in GSP’s head, but I disagree. GSP doesn’t have the mindset of someone like Randy Couture, but if there’s one thing you don’t do, it’s piss off GSP. When fighters piss off GSP (Trigg, Kos, Hughes II and III), it’s been total pwnage. The 2 times GSP lost he was intimidated (Hughes I) or was stupid and took his opponent lightly (Serra). GSP will not take Serra lightly, and he sure as hell ain’t intimidated by him. You’re gonna see a killer look in GSP’s eye, just like Rampage had against Chuck, just like Anderson had against Rich. Serra will see the best of GSP. With that said, if he still beats GSP, then I will give all the respect in the world for Serra, and I would have to conclude that he’s improved enough to be the top WW regardless of his past fight history,

I think GSP will destroy Serra. But, with that said, I also wouldn’t be surprised if Serra KO’s GSP again.

cmon now… what kind of real killa talks about going into the ring with “his killer intinct” like GSP just did? i’m not buying that just like i’m not buying a 8 second KO. he’s a world class athelete, martial artist, and he’s been mega-successful due to discipline, talent and training. He’s beat the best. He’s a nice guy.

Just because you do something once..doesn’t mean you can do it again….so it’s not that ridiculous..

These are the 2 biggest things I’ll be looking out for in the next fight:

-How good is Serra’s gaurd? Will GSP pass with his long legs? GSP has been on top in the last couple fights. GSP would be giving up his size and strength advantage if he chose to standup, plus GSP cannot scramble as good standing.

-How much punishment can GSP take before he tap? whether it be strikes or submissions, this is how I measure mental toughness. NOT how smart a fighter is as someone previously posted. I haven’t seen GSP sustain a serious beating and come back and win it in any of his fights.

Also, I got a funny feeling that elbows might play a factor. I’ll be pissed if some1 gets cut bad enough for the doctor to stop it.

Since St. Pierre is saying that Serra stepped over the line with his mouth, do any of you guys think Georges is practicing a spinning back fist?

I don’t know if Serra is in GSP’s head, but I can imagine Serra’s recent injury is in his head. A back injury is a scary thing b/c you never know when it could happen again. You could train all day long and be fine, then bend over to tie your shoes and be bed ridden for a week. He HAS to be thinking about that a little.

After serra loses to GSP does anyone think he can take out hughes?
