come on Lauzon make BJ proud….

Wow… Kenny looks way more like a fighter these days, that face is getting worked in training i guess

Creepy Joe wins this fight in 2 rounds or less. I am a big Florian fan but I just think its lauzon’s time to shine. I havent heard BJ talk this well about 1 of his fighters in a long time. I think he will show vast improvement tomorrow night.

Kenny keeps mentioning that Lauzon might not be able to handle the main event pressures, but I think he will be sadly mistaken.
Lauzon broke into the UFC by KO first ever UFC lightweoght cha, pion Jens pulver in the 1st round. He was cool under pressure, then and I dont think it will be any different to more night.

Lazon by Ko via “something Devestating” as rude boy would say!

Nice to see some better production values coming out of the UFC these days.

Oh, and Kenny’s taking this one home.

Chuck Liddell: “Kimbo is so overrated”
Quote:
CHUCK LIDDELL says Kimbo Slice is not yet worthy of the high praise he has had lavished on him by many MMA fans.

‘The Iceman’ reckons the Internet following Slice has built up has seen him become over hyped and he claims he has yet to face a real challenge in his professional fighting career.

Slice, real name Kevin Ferguson, made his professional MMA debut last November at the EliteXC: Renegade event, beating Bo Cantrell in just 19 seconds.

He then defeated veteran Tank Abbott in February at the EliteXC: Street Certified show in Miami after just 43 seconds of the first round.

But Liddell is unimpressed and said: " When Kimbo fought Cantrell, that was the third time he’s been knocked out in under 30 seconds¿the THIRD time!

“So is that a real fight? I mean come on! The guy tapped before he hit the matt – he was tapping on the way down!”

Liddell claims the EliteXC star would struggle against top-tier competition and points to Slice’s defeat to former UFC fighter Sean Gannon as a case in point.

Liddell added: "Gannon beat him didn’t he? And how long did Gannon last in the UFC?!!

“Kimbo’s one of those guys who doesn’t have any ground game. He’s training and he’s learning but he’s been built up as such a big star and that’s the thing that bothers me.

“People talk about him like he’s the next great thing when he really hasn’t done anything.

“He’s been built up because of the Internet and him beating a bunch of guys on the street.”

And Liddell joked: "I could make some impressive knockout videos too if you let me walk outside and just punch people and knock them out — “hey you, come fight!”

“F*** we can make a highlight reel tomorrow and go round beating people up and talking about it — we could just go up to people and start dropping them — wow!”

Lauzon will destroy u KenFlo

I am VERY excited about this fight.

I’m going with Lauzon. He’s great under pressure and he’s a rare talent who finds a way to win. KenFlo is also a little too into himself for my taste.

Wrong!

by Scooby on Apr 1, 2008 12:02 PM EDT reply actions

As long as Lauzon can stay away from Kenny razor elbows and avoid a bad cut he will win. Training with BJ & Faber will have improved his all round skills even more.

Of course his camp is going to say he is great but I think this kid will go far & fast.

Kenny’s approach to self-promotion should be studied by every UFC fighter that wants to get ahead.

I predict, after he beats Joe, that he will announce that Joe is one of the most elite fighters in the UFC. He does this after every fight. The obvious implication being that he just beat one of the best and is one of the best.

I’m a big Kenny fan.

Not really a fan of either guy but I think Florian destroys him. Lauzon is lucky if he lasts to the second round. If you want to make some quick cash, find an online book and put some money on Florian.

Bad time for Lauzon to shave his head. A little cushion against those elbows wouldn’t have hurt.
I like Lauzon for his aggressiveness here though. Kenny won’t be able to have his systematic attack and be on the defensive with Joe’s style. Ken-flo may run into another ringpost. Creepy Joe by TKO.

(If Florian wins though, I predict he gets another shot at the title and if Penn wins in May it would be fun to see the teacher go avenge his student.)

Agreed. Not that it needs it with this match-up, but that music is awesome and got me pumped up for this fight even more.

Kenny is such a overrated douche. Its funny how he refers to himself in the 3rd person. Lauzon is gonna kill this guy.

by The_Mexicutioner on Apr 1, 2008 1:07 PM EDT reply actions

I don’t know which was more worse of destruction from CREEPY JOE: the way he manhandled Reinhardt or Pulver. Both were nowhere close to a competition.

Ken is in for a nightmare. He thinks he’s a lot better than he actually is.

The music in the video sounded like cheap medieval porn music.

It’ll be a tough fight, I just can’t see Lauzon beating Florian. I think this fight will go 3 rounds, or Florian ends it by submission

by THORAZINE on Apr 1, 2008 2:08 PM EDT reply actions

“Creepy Joe” is about 10 times better than “J-lau” or whatever. He should go with it.
People really love Joe. I have to see him as the underdog due to experience, big ears.

by Landowner on Apr 1, 2008 2:56 PM EDT reply actions

Would someone let Ken-Flo know that referring to yourself in the third person is an A-Number One sign that you’re full of yourself. I think he’s been spending too much time reading his own press releases.

I’m hoping for a Creepy Joe submission in the second, but wouldn’t put money on it.

Absolutely! When Din Thomas was going into his fight with Ken-Flo, he grew out the fro to protecty against the boney elbows of Florian dicing his head open.

by ViolentMike on Apr 1, 2008 3:05 PM EDT reply actions

Kenflo lost a title fight and now thinks he is the most dangerous? Sounds like he is getting ahead of himself…Lauzon KO 1st round.

by Ehyo on Apr 1, 2008 3:49 PM EDT reply actions

I want Joe to win cause im a Joe and Penn fan . . . But i also want Ken to win cause Joe wont fight BJ (he’ll wait to challenge for the belt ‘til BJ’s gone) while kenny will get the next shot i believe (him or Huerta after beating Guida) and Kenny will take that shot which is a fight i wouldnt mind seeing, Kenflo Vs Penn (i dont see Kenny having a chance with BJ, but it would make for interesting two rounds)
