I never even checked the undercard results. I figured Larson to win that fight against Alessio, but an illegal knee DQ win is not how I saw that one going down.

UFC, WEC…at this point in the game those numbers are friggin disgraceful! Good thing for me and the rest of the fans that these guys love the sport cause there is no way I would train for three months, deal with all the PR stuff and get battered and bruised for a pathetic 10k!!!

WEC champion is only making 10k? Zuffa is prolly getting paid off of the WEC. They got a tV deal and they put on some pretty solid shows.
Sonnen has a higher base Salary fighting at 185 then the former WEC Light heavyweight champion Marshall….WEIRD!!!

Some of these fighters have sponsors, so they’re not really paying for gym time and personal trainers, right?

Sigh. Guys, it’s called a contract. How many of you heard of Doug Marshall before he was the champ? He most likely signed his contract before he won the title. When his contract is up, chances are he will ask for and get more.
And (sorry, I am about to use CAPS) READ THE FRICKING FRIENDLY REMINDER! Seriously, how many times does this need to be explained? Often times, a fighter salary is less than half of what they actually receive due to sponsorships, ppv cuts, fight bonuses etc. MMA is LOADED with unofficial payments. Why? Most likely to get around the orgs having to pay taxes on what would otherwise be crazy high salaries.
