Frank = Legend

He should go back and fight in the UFC though, or at least move over to World Victory Road or DREAM.

Ken Shamrock stated he “experimented” with steroids in a shoot video. In fact clips of these statments were on you tube with him stating that exact line. The shoot video was about pro wrestling but he defo stated he experimented with them and that a person who is injecting 7cc’s is going to gas etc. But this vid is defo out there and was out in the public way before Frank stated the obvious. Anyone who’s been around a gym for awhile knows what to look for…Ken believed in what he was doing.

Classic fight.

His brother is a total washed up meat-head who was never that great to begin with, even with roids dripping from his eye sockets. Frank said it himself when he called him a total ego maniac. I’d have to agree that frank is a likeable guy and he grows on me more when i see interviews like this. Shamrock over Cung by GnP or (maybe I’m crazy?) submission.

Haha, that was a good interview. I dont know, I’ve never been a huge fan but lately idk, I’ve been starting to warm up to him. Cung is cool too though, and I just watched his fight with Fryklund and damn, his kicks and movement are amazing. This should be an exciting fight.

I doubt you’re in the minority – there’s a reason why Frank commands so much attention from MMA fan’s and it’s not because people hate him, it’s most likely because most like him and find him to be an exciting fighter and a great entertainer.

All fighters have their haters, but i think it’s unfair to direct insults like that by insinuating that Frank doesn’t have fans and that you must be in the minority if you like him – Frank has a hugh fanbase, you’re probably more likely to be in the minority if you DON’T like him.

HAHA I can’t stand that Tractor driving smurf! I only like Kos because of that time he said “19 and ooooooooone” after winning the Diego fight, which made me laugh, and his striking is getting better now he’s starting to look like a good fighter.
Frank, I don’t know, I don’t hate the guy he seems ok and other people who know him better than I say he’s ok. I think he just comes off as cocky sometimes but its just confidence which all fighters/sports stars need. Not sure who’s gonna win the fight but should be good

Adoptive brother mind you! haha. I think I didn’t word that the way I wanted to. being an egomaniac is a shamrock trait through and through and I completely agree frank has that trait all the way, but I think his ego holds more merit if that makes any sense? Kens ego is going to put him in a pine box if he doesnt quit for good.

Either way, going to be a great fight, I’m very pumped.

I’ve heard Frank is a really ass, but I haven’t seen that side of him all that much… Ken has always been an ass to Frank, never treating him like he was worthy of working out in the same room as him. It’s no wonder he shows Ken zero respect. Also, he saying what is 100% true!

That’s just wrong about Ken. Ken was a GREAT fighter in his heydey. His best days were actually at Pancrase (which used to have better competition than the UFC). He’s beaten some guy named Bas Rutten twice.

Who cares if it’s his own brother. If it’s the truth then Ken now has to own up to it. He just talks and speaks the truth. Now if this is false, then yeah that’s pretty crappy. It’s probably true though. If my brother robs a bank, and someone asks me about it, I’ll say, “well, he robbed the bank”. Live life truthfully and you don’t have to worry about your brother calling you out. Ken’s the one doing it, not Frank.

I can’t stand the cockiness of Hughes, Koscheck, or BJ, but I’m a fan of Frank Shamrock’s for sure. I might not be his best friend if I knew him personally, but he’s very entertaining, and he should DEFINITELY be in the UFC fighting Anderson Silva for the belt. Frank is the best middleweight in the world until Anderson Silva beats him. I know that sounds incredibly stupid to the TUFers but if Dana White actually had a set of balls that fight would happen and a lot of people would be in for a shock. I was very confident that Anderson Silva would beat Dan Henderson, and I am very confident that Frank Shamrock is the best test for Anderson Silva at this point in his career. I’d even go so far as to say that Shamrock would be the favorite. Henderson’s problem was that he didn’t have the submission game. Lutter showed that Anderson is weak to the submission game, if you can get him on his back (even though he submitted Lutter). Shamrock would have the edge on the ground, unlike Dan Henderson, he would be able to put Anderson on his back, and his standup far from sucks. I’m not even sure if Anderson would have much of an edge standing, as Shamrock has already dealt with heavy hitters like Bas Rutten. Bas is a serious badass for those of you that don’t know.

Even though the chance of Frank coming back to the UFC is next to zero, I’ll keep saying it; Anderson Silva has not proven that he is the best at 185. Have him fight GSP, perhaps at a catch weight, if he wins that he is the best pound for pound fighter in the world. If that is not arranged, have him fight Frank Shamrock to see if he’s even the best at 185. Dana can shut the hell up with all the Anderson praise until that happens.

And, finally, OBAMA ALL THE WAY!!! Vote in November! (Unless you’re a republican)

Frank has better submissions than Anderson. hahahahahahahahaha. Frank has never beaten anybody important, name one… Bas- please, Tito- JOKE, Baroni-haha.
Anderson silva on the other hand. wait, he destroyed everybody. WOW lets check that out again. Frank hasn’t really ever fought anybody, ducks real competition, anderson fights transformers and terminators, he eats franklin for breakfest and henderson for lunch.(Anderson is a black belt in BJJ, that means ten years out of your life)

Id have to say your wrong. Silva is fighting real tough opponents while Shamrocks last real test was 8 years ago. Since then his biggest fight has been against a washed up Baroni, who just lost agains Hose, and Renzo Gracie who was taking Shamrock down at will. If Frank beats Cung Le and then fights a real opponent then you might have a point to argue.
But saying that Silva hasnt proven to be the best at middleweight by beating fighters such as Henderson, Franklin twice, Lutter, Murray, Marquadt, Rivera, Horn among others is really an uneducated statement to make. Frank may have been the best 10 years ago but to suggest he is the best now is clearly wrong. This can only be Shamrock himself to post such a ridiculous statement.

You call people that realize the truth about Tito haters because you are in denial that your favorite fighter is washed up and in his prime wasn’t all that in the first place. Wake up and smell the coffee homie, Tito isn’t even in the top 5 LHWs in the UFC and hasn’t been for a few years now. Tito will never get past Chuck so how do you expect him to even be considered to fight Rampage. He should get into the porn business with his girl because from now on he will only be a mediocre fighter and thats now hating thats truthing

To the two posters who disagreed with me about Frank Shamrock being the best middleweight:

I fully understand why you would doubt the statement- Frank hasn’t done nearly as much in the last 8 years as Anderson. My argument is that Frank would respond much better against Silva than his other opponents have, and he is the best opponent to throw at Silva that is in his weight class. Who else are you going to pick- let’s see, there’s Yushin Okami… I don’t think he would be a better test for Anderson at all, he’d be looking for takedowns and maybe a couple submission attempts but Frank could give Anderson trouble anywhere, and he could avoid getting destroyed by Anderson’s clinch. Frank may have been knocked out by Yuki Kondo but don’t let that fool you- he would be no easy knock out.

Anderson has become overrated- he is susceptible to takedowns, vulnerable to submissions, and is not the most or the second most powerful striker in his weight class. Anderson is a technician. He wins fights by landing a high percentage of his shots, by utilizing the clinch, and by using an evasion-counter-punch strategy. Frank has very similar strengths standing, and I would say he has more power. Frank would also be one of the first of Anderson’s opponents, besides Ryo Chonan, who could end the fight by simply grabbing hold of a leg.

I’m not buying it that Anderson is the best and that he has proven to be the best. Paulo Filho is undefeated, Frank Shamrock has lost one fight in the last ten years and it was a disqualification. I am very confident that soon enough Anderson’s weakness will be exposed to the point that everyone will rethink his place on the pound for pound list.

Before he is even contemplated being placed in a fight against Silva he would have to prove himself against other middleweights. He has fought nobodies for too long. Put him in there against Henderson or Franklin, real opponents to see if he comes out the winner and then he might be considered good enough to be in a fight with Silva. Silva may be “easy” to take down, as you suggest, but he doesnt struggle on the ground. Frank is not as good as Henderson on the ground so why do you think he would fair better than he did? If the fight was kept on their feet Anderson again would be too quick and awkward for Frank. Henderson, Franklin, Shamrock, Murray, all have more power than Silva in their punches but that means nothing if your up against a world class technician. Look at what happened to all those fighters and the same would happen to Shamrock.

Shamrock may have been good in his days but you cannot consider him to be the best if hes not fighting world class opponents. Anderson has a case for people to think he is the best P4P, hes beating world class fighters with relative ease. Once Shamrock starts doing that again then this may become a real debate.
