March Madness betting lines and $1 million contest
I know this has absolutely nothing to do with mixed martial arts, but I saw this in my inbox and wanted to pass it along. There is more than likely an overlap with sports fans in general here who might find this interesting (and profitable). This looks like a great tournament ... get in on the "bracketology" action before it's too late.

Cool, first.
LOL, and probably one of the only….
I can’t wait to fill out my brackets. I might even drop a little coin on some of the individual games this year. I won the pool at work like 7 years ago and won $450. I have come in 2nd place once since then. I could really use the money this year….

I am usually really good at calling the 1st round upsets. I only looked at the brackets quickly this morning and I didnt Identify as many upsets as usual. I have to sit down and really look at it though. March Madness, doesnt get any better than this.

Hey John, how do you feal about putting a bet on Memphis’s round 1 game. They are giving up 25 points, but they usually steamroll inferior competition. I will be putting some money on that one.

Thats not a bad pick at all. Traditionally 16 seeded teams loose to their #1 seeded opponents in the first round by an average of 30 plus points. As u said, Memphis is a steamrloller type team, that likes to get up and down the floor, and with Derrik Rose at the point, expect them to be scoring many fastbreak points in the 1st round which usually results in a blow out. I dont know if Memphis can make the final four, but they will blow right through the inferior teams that they will face in the first couple of rounds of the tournament.
I wonder if you can bet on a team making it to the final four. I know there are odds on teams winning the whole thing,, but I just want odds on a particular team making it to the final four, and that team would be UCLA! They have a easy ass road to the final four. Duke is the number 2 in that bracket and they are extremely over rated and I dont see Duke winning 2 tournament games this year.

watch out for them louisville cardinals, them boys can play D and rebound the ball…also don’t sleep on purdue or vandy…i know vandy has to deal with a tough clemson team in the second round, but clemson already played their best ball in the acc tourney, they won’t beat vandy…purdue will beat up baylor and the 3 seed xavier and then if duke can survive a finally healthy arizona team, which won’t be easy, purdue will beat them too before losing to ucla…the best sweet sixteen game to look forward to: louisville vs. tennessee the winner of that game will give give UNC (if they can get past the best 8 seed of all time, indiana) all they can handle in the elite eight…
spida’s final four: louisville, kansas, texas, ucla
kansas vs. ucla in championship (flip a coin for winner)

thats a safe bet brother…texas arlington is tailor made for an athletic advantageous team like memphis…arlington turns the ball over like its their job and memphis loves to pressure teams and score off turnovers…do the math…final score will probably look like this: 86-57…even if calipari wants to sit some of his stars near the end, their second team is still so much more athletic than arlington’s, and those guys will be looking to get in the books in a tourny game while they can, so they’ll be playing hard…bet on memphis

Thanks for the tip there Spida. I thought it looked like a good one. How do you feel about the other #1 seeds covering?
