Icon Sport: 'To Hell and Back' press conference with Phil Baroni and Kala Kolohe Hose
Phil Baroni and Kala Kolohe Hose will clash for the vacant Icon Sport middleweight title this Saturday (March 15) at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. This event is FREE to watch online at ProElite.com beginning at 8 p.m. ET -- it's going to be a sweet main event. Unsurprisingly, Baroni is talking a ton of trash, which doesn't seem to phase the very laid-back Hawaiian.

Baroni back in action…
And talking shit,’not suprising at all….
I am looking forward to this fight it should be entertaining…The “New York bad-ass” usually puts on a good show win, lose or draw…..
Not the best fighter, but he always brings it…..

Baroni is too one dimensional, he’s the original Chris Leben. As long as he’s been in this sport and he still hasn’t transended his style. That’s why he started losing all his fights in the UFC. Once your game gets figured out, if you don’t make adjustments then you end of fighting for ICON titles and not UFC titles.

What a budget confrence. Did they hold it in Thompson’s basement?

was just thinking that toms bombs danas always up at a podium
elitexc need to spend some cash setting up decent promo
they need someone like joe rogan to conduct it too
baroni can give great fight buildups if properly promoted
looking forward to the fight
hopefully if they get tito he can liven the press conference up a bit as he kimbo and baroni are all very natural on a microphone

Baroni still holds one of the best KO’s in UFC history. When he used Dave Menne’s head as a punching bag!
Baroni, Bushido….Same thing!lol

Looks like those Roids have not worn off of Baroni. I hope he gets his ass knocked out.

That was awkward when Kolohe was laughing when the guy called him out to his face. hopefully someone posts this fight on on youtube.

i use to hate baroni, now i just feel sorry for him. Hose should get Frank Shamrock to corner him and just give baroni those crazy eyes and play mind games with him

I hope Hose makes Baroni look bad because it’s time to flush that floater for good.

That is the worst press conference I’ve ever seen. I love the card table and the signs taped to the wall.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up on the free broadcast.
P.S. its “faze” not “phase”

That was horrible for everyone involved including the viewers.
Hope the fight is worth it even though it is free.

Baroni should fight silva
He would lose but very entertaining
Would be fun to see Silva hurt at least
Or maybe Baroni/Leben?

baroni is a laugh. He would be a perfect candidate for wrestling entertainment, not MMA.

that was a sweet pre fight press conference. Now you see the difference between the ufc and its competitors.

Are you copying me John lol
I posted ages ago that Baroni owned the best ever knockout over Menne. I feel sorry for Menne for being at the wrong end of that accolade.
Baroni has also tried to change his game and incorporate a ground game but he is just so far behind the competition in that department.
Would love to see him back in the UFC. Dana might give him a title shot after 6 consecutive losses lol
Baroni is just too angry….saying that I wouldn’t want to bump into him in a dark alley

i would be nice to see him back in the UFC as a gate keeper.
he could probably hover around 10 – 15 in the Mwt div. beat the NY Badass by ko and your in the top 10. and because his ground game is subpar you get into the top 15 with a sub. win.

either match would be pretty entertaining both of those guys would KO the NY Badass.

This sort of this really dissapoints me. Theat press conference could have been better run by my cousin who is in thrid grade.
Can someone, (Mania – maybe you), who has access to these people tell them to hire a graudate marketing/PR student to set up these for them. A few A4 poster, shitty desk, MC is a t-shirt does not cut it. No wonder why Dana feels so confident.

I wouldnt rule out Baroni back in the UFC because him and Dana are actually palls, but Baron’s personality and resume get him more money from Japan or UFC competitors (Elite XC) than what the UFC would pay him. Its just not worth it to the UFC to pay him as much as other organizations are willing to pay him. From a fans point of view, I would actually like to see Baroni abandon that weak ground game of his. He has a good chance against anyone if the fight stays standing, but like you said, he usually gets out classed on the ground. Isnt he training at Extreme Couture now?

It’ll be fun no matter who wins but it dosen’t really matter who wins because a healthy Lawler will destroy either of them. ICON is just stalling till Robbie gets back into action.

ICON could’ve have done more with the press conference, but in the end, it doesn’t matter. All I care about is watching good fights.

God I wish ruthless robbie would get back in the UFC. He is one of the few Miletich/Hit-squad fighters that I actually like, along with Drew McFedries!

man it wolud be awesome if Ruthless got back inthe UFC. he is alwaya in entertaining fights. hope Drew can get back on the winning track. maybe a slugfest with pete sell is possible since they both lost their last fights on SPIKE TV.

I’m gonna be there.. ICON hasn’t staged an event since Lawler KO’s Trigg last year.

Pete Sell vs. McFedries would be a hell of a UFN fight!

Phil Baroni is nothing more than Tank Abbott in a bodybuilder’s body. Heavy hands, decent wrestling, but that’s about it.

A fight I’ve always wanted to see is Baroni vs Lawler.
What a war that would be.
