I think Setanta are a crock of s..t.

I’ve posted about them before, UFC should seek someone else to broadcast their fights.

Chuck KO round 1 with ease!

Dont see chuck winning in first round just dont see it happening at all!

Chuck via KO/TKO round 2

I know that fighters get injured, but this fight holds much less appeal than the Shogun fight.

Chuck takes this in the second round.

I dont even care about this fight to be honest with you all. This event better be on Spike or I will be skipping it!

they broke up the evans silva fight they should have given silva the fight with chuck, this seems like the easiest match up they could have given chuck.if jardine beats vandy(i dout) he should get the title shot not chuck .

Rashad going to trier himself out tring to take chuck down and realize that signing this fight was a big mistake and get OKed. Cann’t wait to see the look on rashads face.

I sure hope hope Chuck kncks out Rashad I cant stand his ass, after that he should fight shogun and then the belt, I think theres no need for the Jardine rematch hes gonna get knocked out by Silva so Chuck was just having a bad fuckng year.

Sorry to get off topic but is eddie Alverez really signed to M-1? They got 2 fighters Fedor and Alvares…..How the hell did that happen? Thats a big stretch, from Russia to Philly!

Alverez vs. Dida is going to be an awesome 1st round fight for the DREAM lightweight grand prix!

If Chuck that fought Tito in the second fight comes out I see him winning in the same fashion if Chuck that fought Wandy comes out mmm not sure how the fight would play out but, surely Chuck would also win

This is old news, but I cannot find details…..Did Tito give Rashad the lesson I thought he was gonna!!!! WHO WON??

by Jason on Apr 21, 2008 6:06 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I think Chuck is exactly right. Rashad will try to out point him, but will probably get caught in the process and go to sleep.

He’s got a lot of speed though, so it’s possible he could stick, move & run, which would make for a very long & boring fight…..and possibly an ugly decision.

by TonyDrip on Mar 12, 2008 4:45 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

i am glad we all agree that chuck takes this one.

chuck is one of my favourites, but I think rashad will cause afew more problems than people think, he always seems to just do enough…… come on chuck! please dont take him lightly!

I will be very shocked if Rashad pulls this off. His last match with Bisping was almost a draw, and Bisping is no where near Chuck’s level. I know that doesnt mean anything in the MMA world, but c’mon now, let’s be realistic for this one.

by c-war on Mar 12, 2008 5:09 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I really hope we see the old Chuck come out. It will do wonders for his confidence to get a KO. I also can’t wait to see Vera fight again after his last horrible fight. Did I hear maybe Swick vs. Davis also? Sounds like a pretty good card so far. If its free great, if I have to pay $55 so be it. Can’t wait either way.

Chuck LIdell’s style is tailored to beat Couture like fighters. Rashad’s style is exactly like Couture.

Lidell within the 1st two rounds by KO

Even though I want Rashad to win!

GO RASHAD!

I think that maybe Evans will surprise a lot of you. His striking is getting better although still not near as good as Chuck’s. However, I would have to disagree with Chuck on the strength thing. I am predicting a KO by Evans due to dropping Chuck on his head.

I could really care less if the lights fall down from the stadium and fall on both Chuck and Rashad…the two most over-rated fighters in UFC history…At least Chuck has beat some legitimately tough people…Rashad has done nothing impressive..I can’t believe I am going to say this but…I hope Chuck knocks Rashad out in the first round and makes him realize he is nothing

I thought Shogun was taylor-made for Chuck. But yeah, I see this almost as Liddell-Ortiz 3. I just don’t see Rashad outstriking Chuck and I actually think that Ortiz is more explosive with takedowns that Rashad.

Chuck by fastest knock out in UFC history. Only joking.

But how cool would it be to see Rashad go down under 10 seconds, Chuck put his going out gear on, and head straight to the night club without a doctors checkup :)

Everyone is talking about how Chuck Liddell is going to TKO Rashad in the 1st or 2nd round. I could not disagree more !!!

Chuck’s staredown at the weigh in will put the fear of God in this one dimensional jive talkin Floyd Mayweather wanna be. Prediction is Rashad doesn’t even enter the octagon.

Chuck wins by “old school” beat down….. just a good old training session style beatdown. Chuck may actually consume Rashad after the match to get a good base on his stomach before the post match drinking session.

He got lucky against Lambert? That’s ridiculous. He’s undefeated! Give the guy some credit. The only reason people don’t like Rashad is because he’s not the most exciting fighter. He still wins…always has…plain and simple.

All decisions are draws? Thankfully you don’t make the rules cause that’s just stupid talk.

Not gonna lie i completely agree. Speed kills. Chuck has not faced an athlete like rashad EVER. Hes going to stick and move and eventually shoot and win a clear cut ud. Hopefully Jardine will help implement the leg kicks and the same gameplan he used except to move a little bit more instad of staying in the pocket

Thats a pretty one sided statement, “all decisions are draws” you mean to tell me that sean sherks last two fights were draws? that was total domination for 5 round by sherk… neither of his opponents mounted any sort of offense for 25 minutes, come on man thats not a draw!

I totally agree. Rashad should get some credit for being undefeated, but it is just his TUF win that has gotten him the main events. Let’s just hope that Chuck learned his lesson about taking opponents lightly.
And if all decisions were draws this sport would crumble into nothingness!

As I’ve said before I think Rashad could develop to be one of the top LW’s but he seriously needs that killer instinct.

I’ve always said to my people that I wanted to see Rashad in the octagon with an animal looking to rip him apart like Wandi or Chuck.

I believe he needs a big loss and then if he is mentally tough enough (e.g. GSP) rebuild himself as a more deadly fighter than before. Being undefeated is one thing being a finisher is another. I think most people who are fighters would rather be known as the later as opposed to being undefeated with over half of those being decisions.

WIN OR LOSE RASHAD NEEDS THIS FIGHT.

How many here thought the Jardine fight was going to be an easy win for Chuck, I didn’t I picked Jardine to win and if Rashad actually comes to fight instead of jumping around and wasting time like an idiot, I can see himw winning this one on points. Rashad is a lot tougher than people give him credit for and when he is willing to bring it, one of the most explosive in the division when it comes to takedowns. I actually think this will be the first time we will see chuck on his back. Chuck did look impressive against Wanderlai because Wandi let himself get drawm into a slugging match and let Chuck basically punch at will against him, I am thinking Rashad is not stupid enough to to do the samething. If he has a game plan and executes it well like Jardine did he could get a descision win. He better make it convincing as well, look what happned in the Jardine fight, Jardine clearly won but one judge was obviously a big fan of the Ice Man. I think this fight will be more about what Rashad turns up on the night rather than what Chuck turns up.

the 10 point must system doesnt work for MMA. there is nothing worse than seeing a fighter get screwed by the judges. like Forrest vs. tito in Anaheim the judge who gave tito a score of 30- 27 wasnt wathching the same fight i saw. the same thing happened to matt hamil vs. Bisping in England. home town judges suck. also Jardine did to Bonnar what he did to Chuck but the judges gave the decision to Bonnar. by the way im a fan of Bonnar and Bisping. so i dont only get upset when the guy im going for gets screwed.

if the ICEMAN doesnt finish rashad i will be very disappointed but still a fan. he need to KO rashad and his next 2 opponents to get a remach against RAMPAGE.

10 point must system has to be CHANGED! Even Joe rogan says it during UFC broad casts. If you demolish a guy in round 1, but then he barely out points you in rds 2 and 3, then you LOOSE! That isnt right…ITS a FIGHT! So some criteria has to be added to judge the fight as a whole, just like PRIDE used to. As unorganized as PRIDE was, I dont recall to many BS decisions. The only one’s I can recall off the top of my head was:

Rampage over Ninja (in the post fight interview Rampage addmited that Ninja really beat him

and

2003 middleweight Grand Prix event were Ricco beat Nogueira but they awarded to fight too Big Nog!

I couldn’t agree more…finally someone else with same opinion on Rashad as me. This is a win-win situation for Rashad. If he wins…then he’s got a good shot at getting a title shot but more than likely a #1 contenders match with MAchida if he wins. If he loses…then the undeated monkey is off his back and he can regroup and concentrate more on winning and finishing fights instead of concentrating on just not losing and eeking out decisions.

I think Rashad has that killer instinct but being undefeated…he might be fighting too conservatively. He has all the tools to be in the upper echelon of this division but he seems to hold back too much. I think this fight win or lose will benefit him. He’s got some great skills and is a superb athlete…very nice combination for a fighter. He just needs to let loose and really go balls to the wall against Liddell.

Call me crazy, but I wouldnt be surprise to see Rashad take Chuck down. He wont be able to do it by shooting with a traditional takedown, but if he body locks chuck, and picks him up, he might be able to get a mini-slam like he got against Tito. He wont be able to take Chuck down, but I can see him picking Chuck up and putting him down.

I give Rashad a better chance at winning than most people do. I actually think it will be way more competitive than Forrest vs. Rampage !

Buster: I would have to agree, that it might be best for Rashad to get a loss. That undeafeated streak weighs on a fighters mind. Look for him to be a better fighter when as u said, he gets that monkey off his back!

In both fights against Rampage Chuck entered the octagon stiff and tense (and lost)the guy is getting old. This maybe a big chance for Rashad to knock an old tree.

Being a former, and I mean formerIceman Fan, I have to give this would-be fight to Rashad. I’ve rattled my husband’s nerves since the first time I saw Rashad, because I knew he was going to be hell to reckon with in the octagon. He might be a show-boat, arrogant sumumabitch, but he can fukking fight. Period. Chuck hits this guy with a left, I seriously doubt he goes down. And nowadays, that’s all Chuck has in his arsenal. An ugly left hook. What else? Really!? Other than a lot of fans who would boo Dana until his pocketbook burst… Rashad deserves a title fight, NOT this washed-up piss-poor excuse of a Mixed Martial Artist. He used to be the shit, until the fame got a hold of him. He’s disappointed me big-time, as a fighter and as a person.
While I’m ranting, let me say there is NOTHING that can be done about the points system. Look at boxing, hockey, baseball, for god’s sake. Look at football; it’s called “HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE.” Sometime’s it goes in your favor, sometimes it doesn’t. Tought shit, accept it when it doesn’t go your way, appreciate it when it does.
