Bas is the man, but this movie should not be promoted by the UFC. It will be horrible.

Wow a MMA move with make believe situations and a bunch of geeky actors…looks like a boaring film. I would rather pay for PPV than watch “Never Back Down”. That way you get great REAL fights and hot chick (ring girls).
Tito would have been perfect for this role.

Ahahaha… you beat me to it. Every time I’ve been asked about this movie, I tell people that it’s going to be “The Fast and the Furious” of MMA. Only, instead of 16-year olds racing their mom’s Honda Civics it’s going to be throngs of jackasses in TapouT shirts “ULTIMATE fighting” behind the bleachers on the football field.

Whats the difference?lol just kidding. do you know what bothers me most about this movie? the fact that it is rich kids in high school fighting each other. and i have never seen any fighter do multiple back flips in a fight.“At lincoln high school you have to know how to fight, because rich kids like rob emerson may jump you for no reason.” This is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.never mind half these kids parents are lawyers(you dont beat up kids whos parents are lawyers and get away with it)

This movie looks awful. Just from the previews, and by what kind of movie it is, you can just know how the story will go. A new kid will move into a new town. He will fall in love with a girl, who has a boyfriend. The boyfriend will beat up the new kid. The new kid will start training mma to defend himself and his honor. He will then challenge the boyfriend to a fight once he is trained. The whole high school alumn will show up to the parking lot for the fight. The fight will start out with the new kid getting his butt kicked and the boyfriend might even do a couple of “dirty/illegal” moves to futher show that he is the villain. Then in a heroic turn of events, the new kid will come back and beat up the boyfriend to win the fight, the girl, and the respect of the kids in his new town.
LAME. I seen like 10 of those movies when I was like 12 years old.

That is exactly how the movie will go! My prediction…New kid by Gogo Plata in the 2nd round of the parking lot Brawl.

all it is, is a modern version of The Karate Kid. If you grew up watching those kinds of movies like i did, of course it isn’t going to interst you, in the same way that the Karate Kid didn’t interest your parents. everything goes in cycles. in the 80s everyone loved karate and karate tournaments so they made a movie about it. today its MMA. shrug i don’t see how it warrants the misplaced anger i’m seeing on this forum, but hey if you guys really need to be mad about something so stupid, more power to you i guess. i liked the karate kid and for the same reason i’ll watch this movie. i’ll just make sure i shut off my brain before it starts so i can enjoy it just like my dad had to do before he took me to see the karate kid.

They need to add a musical training montage to really complete this movie. Here, I’ll give everyone a great montage song to sing in their heads the rest of the day:
Try to be best/"Cause you’re only a man/And a man’s gotta learn to take it
Try to believe/Though the going gets rough/That you gotta hang tough to make it
History repeats itself/Try and you’ll succeed
Never doubt that you’re the one/And you can have your dreams!
You’re the best . . . Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down
You’re the best . . . Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down
You’re the Best . . . Around!
Nothing’s gonna ever keep you dow-ow-ow-ow-own

Fight till you drop, never stop until you reach the TOP, your the best around! I love that Crap!

I hear you kitsunex. I’m sure that once this movie makes its way to HBO/Cinemax/Stars that I’ll watch it at like 2 am.
I really liked your comparison of our parents having to sit through the karate kid, and having to turn your brain off before watching it.

yo le dare una oportunidad a esta pelicula para poder criticarla, a simple vista se ve q es un intento fallido de crear una buen pelicula de amm, espero ver q sucedera y poder opinar…

It kinda resembles the karate kid but of a modern day movie “Never back down” would rank higher because its a all around better movie. Then again these guys brawl it out and beat the hell outta each other and have some pretty good mma skills in this movie.
