UFCs Tito Ortiz casting for a new reality show?
Perhaps UFC light heavyweight Tito Ortiz didn't get his reality television fix appearing on this season of the "Celebrity Apprentice."
RealityWanted.com indicates that he's got something else in the hopper:

Let's just hope it's better that Kurtlar Vadisi Iraq.
(Thanks to MMAmania.com reader "Bright" for the assist.)

Is this not what the Gracies are doing also?
Reality TV is out of control.

This proves that Tito is clearly more interested in being in the public eye than competing as a mixed martial artist. He knows that he doesn’t have what it takes to compete with the best in the world anymore. It’s probably a good choice for him to get away from fighting while he still has some credibility to keep from ending up as a joke like Ken Shamrock.

Why don’t they call it… “So you wanna fight 2”?

Read this description carefully. If Tito is indeed associated with the program, he’s basically putting his name on something that advocates hurting people who do you wrong. That won’t do much to further the sport of MMA. Unless, of course, the two rivals fight it out and at the end of the show squash their disputes and ride off into the sunset together. Either way, something is not right here.

about time!!! my girlfriend been buggin the shit outta me, ima take her ass to the octagon

They had better remove the mention of the Octagon – that’s a Trademark of Zuffa, and its use there (unless the UFC has sanctioned its use, which I doubt) is actionable.
They’re better off using “cage” ;-)

Exactly…if this is true…Tito is advocating violence as a means to resolve conflicts…not exactly promoting himself as a good role model.

“The Tito Springer Show” “Tito! Tito! Tito!”
Starring the only man to beat the most dangerous man alive, not once, not twice, but three times. Yes, none other than Mr. Tito “I ain’t worth it” Ortiz!
With celebrity guest star Jenna Jamison.
Stay tuned.

It is possible that Tito is only being paid to be a trainer/host and the ownership of the show belongs to some reality TV production firm. That firm would be responsible for mis-use of the trademarked “Octagon.”

I feel stupider having read this thread. I wish Tito would just fall of the face of this earth. I am ashamed to have once been a fan of his….That was many moons ago!

Tito should make a show that tells how to become a has been fighter and how to date a porn star that looks like a skeleton now.

This makes me sick. They’re looking for “ALL SHAPES AND SIZES”, which tells me they’re gonna have a bunch of Average Joe’s in there, and not athletes.

I doubt that this will ever get air time, especially with the need for sanctioning.

Don’t blame the guy for trying to make money. I am sure he makes more money in this than what the UFC pays him. If you were in his shoes, I am sure many of US would do the same.
Money makes the world go around.

Tito, just “accidentally” leak a home-made sex tape and be done with this crap.

Guy Mezger has a show similar to this in Dallas….

Yeah, and the winner gets to sleep with Jenna Jamison. All jokes aside, I kind of like the idea. I’ll tune in for some fights, I’m sure it will be sanctioned and they’ll have medical personnel in site and referees. I’m sure they won’t let anyone with bad health fight, and as long as both parties agree to it than I don’t see anything wrong with it. This could be a good show if they make it short (like 30 minutes) and have the fights not go past 10 minutes. But that’s just me, I don’t see how ppl in general will reference this to the sport of MMA (just like celebrity boxing didn’t effect boxing).

What show? I live in the area and haven’t heard of such a thing.

I wonder if Tito would train Machida to beat him up. LOL If there was enough money involved… It could happen.

The difference is that boxing has long been established.

All I’m saying is that these ppl will be marketed as regular joes, not MMA athletes. I just don’t see how ppl will look at it as part of MMA.

I don’t think the fights are going to be sanctioned…any more than 2 dudes wrestling in Oversized Novelty Sumu Suits might get sanctioned.
It’ll prolly’ end up with a bing two jackasses in full lawsuit-friendly gear swinging wildly and doing half-assed take-downs for 2 minutes (after a week of training).
PS…Dibbs on the Oversized UFC Suits …thats a million dollar idea!!!

so i wonder if we’ll see Tito on “blind date” after jenna dumps him

Mania,
If you continue to be the media outlet for Tito and his trail of crap, your site will lose credibility.
Enough is enough.
Stop being Tito’s whore.

Springer came to my mind as well. I hope they’ll find a way to dissociate themselves from this “springer images”, otherwise, it will be downhill in the show business as well for Tito. Next thing you know, Jenna will dump him and he’ll end up on the real Jerry S. show.

I already see how this plays out. Tito wins against machida. Dana is “pissed” tito gloats. They say “oh ya?” and one dares the other in a conveniently public argument. Tito refuses to resign and makes some kind of “bet” with dana. So all the average joes of all shapes and sizes prepare and are trained for their battles against people who bug them and the main event will incude dana and tito finally getting in the ring. The word octagon is used caused dana’s already written into this little script with tito ;)

This sounds like Tito has taken all the points Dana & him have NOT fought over publiclly and is making a reality show!!
Does the winner of Titos show fight the winner of Fedors show???

“Tito Ortiz, Mixed Martial Arts Champ
Kristin Ortiz, President, Punishment Athletics Enterprises Inc"
Krisin is his ex wife. Interesting.
