Well, Cro Cop was winning the fight until Kongo kneed him in the nuts like 5 times.

I agree with Cro Cop, I know that “talking trash” is part of the fight game, but come on. You already beat him (in boring fashion by-the-by). Kongo, you should actually stop badmouthing Cro Cop and let the man do whatever it is he wants to do. cro cop has always been 1 dimensional fighter, was pretty clear in the gonzaga fight. everyone remembers the ko, but doesnt seem like many remember what led to it. kongo is a bigger stronger striker with much of the same background and style which is why i predicted him before that fight. not even taking into consideration the general weak performance of almost every pride fighter that has come to the ufc. flame all you want, but you cant argue with numbers. the plain fact is, in pride they through weak no-names at the stars to make them look godly, and the ufc has become the ultimate wake up call.

Seems to be a declining amount of class in this sport. Its kinda funny when you have guys that are gentleman like as Rampage, Chuck, GSP, Hendo, teh Nogs.. but a lot of these guys cant keep from flapping their gums, doesnt make the sport or them look good at all.

It almost looked like he was accusing Kongo of using roids. But your right, he didn’t deny it, and I wouldn’t be surprised. When a sports organization does not test, it is almost inevitable that their athletes will use steroids or HGH, not to gain an advantage necessarily, but to keep their opponents from having an advantage over them.

It looks like these pride fighters were all juicing. I mean, look at wanderlei silva in pride, then look at him in the ufc. He had veins popping out of his head over in pride, i definitely think that is why these former pride figthers are doing so bad in the ufc.

Mirko can strike, Mirko can ground n pound. Mirko can’t do anything affective from the guard position. Being a smaller heavyweight, a guy 30 or 40 pounds heavier then you can put you in a bad way.

People want to bash Pride fighters and I find it really funny. Do u PRIDE haters even realize that the only 2 Unification bouts between PRIDE and UFC which are probably the 2 biggest fights the sport have ever seen, featured only PRIDE fighters?
Think about it:
Henderson vs. Rampage: 2 PRIDE guys going at it
Henderson vs. Anderson Silva: 2 Pride guys going at it.

Then you got Nogueira holding the UFC heavyweight title finishing Tim Sylvia, who last time was fininshed was in the 1st fight vs. Arlovski.

Hating on the PRIDE fighters is just stupid, these guys are legit fighters and belong in the UFC. Is is just a coincidence that the 3 Heaviest weight classes have former PRIDE fighters as champion.

the fight between kongo and cro cop was originally slated as for the number 1 contender spot in the hw rankings and would face randy for the strap. since kongo won they seemed to have forgotten that stipulation. the fact is kongo is a nobody and would have never lasted in a 5-round bout with randy. any one in the upper echelon of the hw division would beat kongo. kongo talks so much crap you would think he is a main-eventer, or at least he is so delusional he thinks that. and this isn’t the 1st time he has been disrespectful. from my understanding he is an all around jerk backstage. as far as i’m concerned he needs to look in the mirror and realize that hes calling cro cop a has been; kongo is a never been, and if he does’nt work on the holes in his own game he will be a NEVER WILL BE
