You can tell the guy interviewing him, was nervous. He stuttered like every other word.

Every person has his own bitch..Tanner was Franklin’s bitch as Franklin is the Spider’s bitch. He can’t really shake the division, Okami wins and fights Silva later this year in some London card or smthg.

Sounded like he was being interviewed by a high school journalism student. I’m looking forward to Tanner’s return. They guy has some serious determination.

Man, Tanner seemed disinterested in giving an interview. Didn’t know who marquardt was? lol.

Does anyone have any new pics of Tanner or training videos? I wonder if he is still looks like a fat drunken slob?!

Not sure who is going to win between Okami or Tanner but whoever does will probably do so in dominating fashion.

okami will be fighting Hendo if he beats Tanner, cuz Henderson is gonna smash Silva!

If you look at his picture on the UFC website he looks extremely fit. I am not positive that is a new picture.

I dont see okami beating tanner .I mean cmon tanner even rocked franklin in their fight..Okami didnt come close except by submission and I see their being no way okamis submitting tanner.

And as far as hendo beating silva no way itll happen

All the speculation sorounding this fight is pointless. We have no way of predicting how Tanner will fight. Thats why I have never offered a prediction on this fight. For anyone to claim that they know how this fight will turn out is just AROGANT…who really knows what the hell will happen in this fight?

Hey guys, I’m the one who did the interview. I thought I would give a little explanation as to why the interview sounded rushed and “fanboyish”.

You see I grabbed Tanner at the weigh in’s for UFC 81 and I didn’t have time to prep, it was very, very quick and unexpected. So with that said, when you have a person that you didn’t prep for interviewing you almost have to resort back to being a fan so you can ask some sort of relevant questions, ya know what I’m saying? But all criticism is welcome, and I’m glad people are excited to see Evan return.

It was a decent interview under those circumstances with decent Questions. The 185 division is shaping up more and hopefully more exciting matchups will follow. Looking forward to the comeback.

Picked up some info on Team Tanner if anyone’s interested.

Instead of having corporate sponsors for his fights, he’s going to have his fans sponsor him and join what he is calling, “Team Tanner”. According to Tanner’s official website, “This is what I envision for Team Tanner. Sponsorship will be on a per fight basis. There will be a team shirt for all members, custom designed for each fight.”

There are different tiers of “sponsorships” and if you have questions, you can E-Mail the person in charge who’s name is Kyria (teamtanner@gmail.com).

If you want to check out the official post by Tanner, you can see it at: http://www.evantanner.net/team_tanner

I think Tanner will win the fight if he’s in good shape. He says there’s no ring rust, and if that’s true I think he’s a solid bet. I just hope he’s not overconfident.

My first be place since I made my account will be on Evan Tanner. Make it a good one buddy.

I checked out the link for Team Tanner. Interesting stuff, but I could never afford the high end memberships. Wouldn’t want to be his cornerman, I’d just yell,“Breath Evan, c’mon buddy, breathe!” Haha. But seriously, for $2500 , I’d expect ‘favors’ from the ring girls.

Oh yeah. HAHA. That was just funny to me I guess.

Big Mac, good interview. Knowing the circumstances it makes sense. And Evan definately didn’t appear to be making it easy on you.

Yeah I noticed that. He looked ripped.

You should really not comment on these forums if you have no clue as to what your talking about.

I think you did well. I have seen some terrible interviews before where fighters have actually walked away because the questions were so stupid. Dont worry about ppl talking shit about your interview, its not as easy as it looks.
