My personal feeling on this fight…it is going to be a good fight and isn’t going the distance. Routing for Mir, but you know what they say about a puncher’s chance. All it takes is one.

I hate that this fight is getting so much publicity…..Brock better power Bomb Mir, or Mir needs to snap his arm… Something exciting has to happen in this fight, because if it is a major bust, I will be so pissed at the UFC for selling it to me as a co main event. The UFC needs at least 1 of these guys to look good in their fight. 1 of these guys has to emerge as a potential star. I would love to see Mir return to his old form, but I dont think it will happen. With that said, I hope Brock is the real deal. The UFC needs one of these guys to be able to contend… Will it happen? I dont know. But I am no hater, and I hope that they both look great. however please Excuse me for being skeptical!

At the very least, hopefully these 2 come into this fight with good cardio, because if the gas…it will get sloppy and boring real fast.

I have been a long time fan of Frank Mir.

 I think it was a VERY bad idea for the UFC to set Lesnar against Mir. Unless the UFC is just trying to make an example of WWF stars crossing over to MMa..
And I am fully aware of Lesnar’s wrestleing background, and I am also fully aware that Lesnar is a big strong man and that this sport is unpredictable with no one to ever be “counted out” completely…

My guess is that Lesnar will go full force and try to take Mir down and “ground and pound” until the ref stops it.

and (imo) Lesnar will get the take down(at will),, Mir will have to eat some shot and hang in there, and I think Frank will.(remember Mir’s a big HW too).
Frank will be on his back and Brock’s going crazy, thats when Mir wins, one carless mistake by Lesnar and he gets submitted..If Lesnar does win it will be ’cause Mir cant take the punishment Lesnar delivers…

nonetheless" I got Frank Mir winning via submission late 1st/early 2nd…this fight wont see the 3rd round(imo)

How can you say Chuck is over rated when he just beat Wanderlei Silva? Seriously! I don’t understand why people like you hate on Chuck. Regardless of what you say he is still one of the top 205 lb. fighters in the world. Give Chuck any one of those guys listed above next and I think he would win.

Shogun – Unimpressive in debut. Great fighter but I think Chuck would out strike him.
Jardine – Will get destroyed the next time they match up.
Sokoudjou – Again unimpressive in debut. Good fight but advantage goes to Chuck due to experience
Vitor – Chuck’s already beat him

Meh, there’s a good chance it’ll be boring, but it could also be pretty exciting. Either way I’m very interested in what the outcome will be.

C’mon Frank. Break his arm. I have to say though that Lesnar has tonnes of experience in this fighting environment, not only in the ring but in the cage; numerous hell in a cell and elimination chamber matches so he should do just fine.

Nevertheless, I still can’t pick a winner from this one. Too many unknowns. Will Brock’s sub def. be good enough? Will his striking be up to par to set up his takedowns? How is his cardio? How does he react to getting hit? How will nerves affect him too?

Same for Mir. What shape will he be in? Will his cardio be half decent? Can he avoid taking damage long enough to set up a match ending sub? How much has his striking improved? Aside from his victory over Tim, has he really faced any real top quality guys?

Jason Lambert needs lyposuction and to even put him in the same category with chuck liddell you have to be on drugs.

I like Frank Mir, but after watching that Video, I get the feeling he’s all about commentating and other business ventures besides fighting in the cage, he seems way to content with his lifestyle. The cage seems like something he does on the side, nowadays. I hope I’m wrong.

I think Chuck has kinda been hand fed ground fighters over the years,the only real striker chuck has beat is wanderlei.
