UFC 84: Sam Stout vs. Rich Clementi

It didn't take long for Sam Stout (13-3-1) to line up another opponent -- "Hands of Stone" is slated to compete against Rich Clementi (30-12-1) at UFC 84 on April 19 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, according to TKOExtreme.com.
Stout -- a Canadian -- just outpointed talented Swedish fighter, Per Eklund, on all three judges scorecards this weekend to earn a unanimous decision at UFC 80: "Rapid Fire."
With the win, Stout pulled his record inside the Octagon (2-2) up to .500. He has a loss and a win to Spencer Fisher, as well as a submission loss to Kenny Florian.
Clementi is more than likely still riding the emotional high of his submission win over hated Louisiana rival, Melvin Guillard, at UFC 79: "Nemesis last month.
"No Love" is a former contestant on season four of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) and has four straight wins since losing to Roan Carneiro via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 9 in April.
This is certainly a very dangerous fight for Stout -- Clementi does very well on the ground and he does not. He'll more than likely look to keep this standing as much as possible so he can work his striking and Muay Thai to avoid what happened in the Florian loss.
UFC 84 features the welterweight title fight between division champion, Matt Serra, and interim titleholder, Georges St. Pierre. To check out the latest rumored fight card click here.

Easy to call: if it stays standing, Stout, and if it hits the mat, Clementi.

This card is coming together quite nicely…can’t wait for it. I agree if it stays standing, Stout is too quick and picks his spots well…if it gets to the ground Clementi has the edge…great match up…cheers all.

Yeah its going to be a Melvin Guillard vs. Rich Clementi match. Sam Stout will get submitted fast.

not a big no love fan but I was glad to see him put “Hebrew Melvin” (Adam sandlers anger management) back in his place.
Melvin- " I come from a wittle buvarian village called lickinzdickin"
No Love – “I come from girls without wienersville”

“Coming together quite nicely” is a little bit of an understatement. This is turning into looking like one of the sickest cards in recent memory. Good quality fights. No gimmicky stuff like Rashad Evans and Tito.
I was afraid that the UFC would come weak for the first foray into Canada. So glad I was wrong. I just wish they aired all the fights.

Guess what Stout is the perfect opponent for Melvin to have an entertaining fight. Melvin is kinda like Kongo, if you want a good fight out of him you have to match him up against other strikers.
