This is a Wednesday night, could the next season of TUF debut right after like they usually do? Or is it too soon?

I’m looking forward on seeing Nate Diaz back in action.
When will we see Nate vs Mac?? That could be a real good fight.

I give a Burkmana slight edge in this match up..this is his weight..Swick is dropping to 170.
What ever happened to the staph that Drew got that was so bad that cut off a peice of his leg off..Both being healthy..hopefully we’ll see a good fight.

My thoughts on the fights:
Nate Diaz vs. Alvin Robinson = Robinson win by sub in R2.
Kurt Pellegrino vs. Alberto Crane = Pellegrino win by sub in R3.
Corey Hill vs. Joe Veres = Hill win by TKO in R1.
Thiago Tavares vs. Michihiro Omigawa = Tavares win by sub in R1.
Cole Miller vs. Jeremy Stephens = Stephens win by TKO in R1.
Gray Maynard vs. Dennis Siver = Siver win by sub in R2.
Matt Wiman vs. Justin Buchholz = Buchholz win by KO in R1.
Too good to be true i guess.

And begin airing some time in April 2008.
This actually looks like a pretty good card, especially for a Fight Night. The last several UFN’s have been fantastic, going all the way back to the UFN that was on right around the same time as the TUF 5 finale. Its like the fighters on these cards KNOW that they need to not only win, but win in a very exciting fight if they want to make it big in the UFC. This often times brings out the best in these young fighters. I for one, am really looking forward to this event.
I wonder if it will be 2 or 3 hours?

One thing I know is that Mac wont walk all over Nate like he’s been doing to the TUF guys.
The pre-fight banter will be great.
Mac:“Well I think Nate mmnn hunna willlann. Will mnifulll nnnhhh..”
Nate:“Mac has no Ningilll nnmmnn hhhnnnn. Rhnnnn mmnnnaa.”

What is this card a reunion for TUF 5 lol. But in all seriousness one fight that really intrigues me is Cole Miller vs. Jeremy Stephens. That Stephen kid is pretty damn scrappy and tough. He really started to mount a nice comeback in his fight with Din Thomas of which he lost due to TAP OUT which clearly I still do not see. No tapping took place.
Unless Swick plans on getting the early TKO, I can see Burkman eeeking out a decision.

damn i really wanted this one to be in florida, pretty disappointing

Watch out for Gray Maynard. All he needs is better sub defense and he is unstoppable.

This is a good solid card. Beside the Cote/mcfedries and Burkman/Swick fights I wonder what fights will be aired.
The other fights I expect to be aired are:
Nate vs. Alvin (Dangerous opponent for Nate, but he has the tools to get it done, this will probably a real good fight)
Batman vs Crane: Both fighters a very well versed in submissions, I think the differance will be strength and toughness, I see Batman out wrestling crane and flat out beating him up. Batman via TKO rd 2 (ground n pound)
Tiago vs. Omigawa…This will be a good fight but I think Tiago will be too much to deal with.
I would like to see Cole Miller, Gray Maynard, Wiman in action. The seem to be hard workers with heart and I expect improvement out of all 3.
Very curious to see how Cory Hill has evolved. He was soo raw and inexperienced that I am curious to see how much he has learned after being part of a real camp for the 1st time in his life.

Hack yah Cote is going to smash drew it will be a great fight but it will end quick for drew if he is dumb and desides to stand with the predator aka kendall grove 2 i also give it to nate he has better hands than mac he fights just like his brother nick

That picture looks like a Questionable photoshop and not the fighters real pictures, at least with burkman and swick
by Lucas on Dec 11, 2007 11:45 AM EST reply actions
Swick should win via tko rd 2
Cote via tko rd 2
Nate via sub rd 1
Gray is someone to look out for..tko gnp baby!
I hope we get to see a bunch of fights like we did for uf 6 finale we only missed 2 fights..I hope we get a 3 hour show!

I hope We get to see that fight 2. Stephens throws bombs and he is fast as hell 2. Want to see how he will do with he reach and height advantage of Cole and see how Cole has improved!

Mcfedries will beat Cote down, Cote sucks he like 1-4 in the octagon, Always a boring fight with Cote.

If this is the fight card and I hope it is, it’s good beginning to end.
swicks first fight at welterweight and against a good opponent, definetly a good main event-I’m going for Swick.
I’m most excited for the cote’ fight-and I’m obviously going for my french canadian brother.
I like Diaz over Robinson but could go either way.
Pellegrino submitting crane.
Corey hills first fight, against joe veres. Neither guy really has any octagon experiance in the ufc being that veres was knocked out in 8 seconds in his first fight.
Tavares, Miller, Maynard, and Wiman are the rest of my picks.
I think the ultimate fighter season 5 cast is going to continue to win at least for now(6-0.
And I hope that it’s 3 hours, cause all these fights are worth seeing.

LOL! – It looks like Cote has an AFRO in this picture. HAHAHA.
I’ll be rooting for Swick. Hopefully they air Stephens vs Miller

Damn I forgot the two “main fights”.
Mike Swick vs. Josh Burkman = Swick win by UD.
Drew McFedries vs. Patrick Cote = McFedries by TKO.

My husband wrestled the same time Gray did. This boy is a stud! I wouldn’t mind seeing Gray vs. Mac. They train together, but I still think it would be one hell of a fight. Gray would pull off the win.

I’d love to see both of them knock each other out.
Won’t be the same without Big John. Sucks that he’s retiring.

my compliments to the UFC on this one, Burkman/Swick and Cote/Mcfedries is a great line up for a UFN. I know I can be critical of them at times, but I also make sure to point out the stuff they get right too. When UFN was conceived this was the type of fights that show was tailor made for.

Swick is getting a quick knockout here.
Cote is more wily than McFedries. Not sure how it will end but it will be for Cote.
I’d like to know which Canadians are boring?

Jeremy Stephens is gonna knock the fuck out of Cole Miller. Stephens should let cole miller fight at 170 lbs just to make it kinda even. Your lookin at the next UFC lightweight champion

Hopefully Stephens takes a kick better than Andy Wang. Based on their records (which don’t usually mean much)I think this could be a good matchup. I don’t know that much about Stephens outside of what he’s done in the UFC. He appears to finish a lot of fights via TKO and Cole has finished a bunch with submissions. I guess we know who Bowman will be rooting for in this one.
