Thats rich, hes the last guy in the world I would want to learn anything from. Does he actualy think people will take him seriously after his whining and bitching on the show? He should stick to teaching seminars to kids at the YMCA.

LOL i agree i wouldnt train with a bitch like that, i could just picture it “yeah my trainer is that wuss how cryed about missing his girlfriend and left the show”! i bet his girl left him for being such a pussy. he was crying like he didnt see her for like 6 weeks or something, he was there for like what a little over a week. and if your worried about your girl messing around on you and its only been a week then you shouldnt be with the hoe! girl vs mma career and the girl won, there is plenty of girls there is only one UFC. and if your girl was messin around who cares if you make it to the UFC you can get lots girls. i just dont get it

Joe is a good teacher, but a bad fighter. He will do a good job at showing fighters the finer points of BJJ. He however will need to bring in some talented striking and wrestling coaches to have a good center. Everyone is quick to judge him based on his performance and actions on ultimate fighter. Matt serra knew it would be an issue and that is why he didn’t want him on the show.

First lesson.
How to quit.
Second lesson.
How to ruin your life.
Be real. Who wants to be trained by a guy who the world percieves as a pussy?

Now I know producers/directors can totally distort reality into however they want to portray it on tv. But it’s hard to see it in any way other than he’s a pansy quitter.
I can’t imagine anyone seriously wanting to get into MMA or BJJ signing up with him. He’s going to have to cater to patrons that don’t know anything about MMA. That leaves… little kids?

I dunno. It’s not like he lost in TUF on the feet or got ground-and-pounded. He lost to a triangle that a white belt would be able to pull off. It was ridiculous.

Sweet merciful crap! If this genetic dingleberry is actually gonna go ahead and open up a school, what the can he teach and who the Hell would be so goddamned pathetic to learn from him as opposed to downing a couple bottles of Olde English and watching “The Karate Kid?”
Forget about his ability to teach “Advanced Monday Morning Quarterbacking” or “How to Be a Friggin’ Assclown,” or even “How to Take a Steaming Crap on ANY Chance of fighting in MMA” – any moron who would actually learn from this simple bitch deserves to be slapped like a friggin’ Stooge.
And I don’t give two squirts of piss about any comprehension he has of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – if he’s going to punk out on his career, and if he’s so goddamned stupid NOT to know that his brief time on “The Ultimate Fighter” made him more of a pariah than Michael Vick at an animal shelter, then it doesn’t matter WHAT he knows.
And how the HELL can he “know” BJJ" and be a shitty MMA fighter?

and thats evidenced by what ?? He was dominated on the ground by Mac, tapped out with seconds to go and his coach screaming at him dont tap.
I dont know the guy personally and he probably does have decent skills however if given the pick on which school I would pay to attend. It would be Serra’s or anyone elses for that matter because of the way the guy conducted himself on national tv. Period

This guy is a disgrace to the sport of MMA and BJJ. He needs to find a pair of nuts first, what kind of advise is he going to give his students what kind of roll model can he be. He turn his back on his best friend he let down his team his family his friends back home & the students that looked up to him & he let himself down, how can he look in the mirror he has no business teaching!

Wow- a lot of hilarious hostility in here. It sounds like Scarola’s girlfriend may have learned more about improving her ground game than joe did in his short time on the show. When I first read this story, I had almost the same reaction everyone else did; “What’s he going to teach, how to quit and piddle on what little respect people have for you?” What really got to me about Joe Scarola is he didn’t acknowledge that even though he had lost, there was definitely reason to stay on the show, the other guys that lost are fighting for the UFC… and he’s trying to do this, getting laughed at and harassed. He thought once he lost there was no reason to stay… I thought the whole point of being on the show was to get fights in the UFC. He had what so many mixed martial artists work every day for, and he passed it up, and was willing to make himself and Matt Serra look like douches in the process.

Yep he can teach & Hughes can work in a nursing home. Man I think he still aint got o2 back in his head from being choked out. Serra seems to succumb to manipulation, from lettin Joey on, from Hughes pressing him to pick Joey 1st, then getting pressured not to let Hughes’ guys fight each other. Hughes is a propper manipulater. See how he got his way so his guys didnt have to fight and each other and how he got Dana to up the stakes. Then he sulks when things dont go his way. Joey teaching? good job he aint teaching anyone to drive

To turn on your best friend after he gave you the opportunity of a lifetime…he even picked you first! I bet you his girl was screwing around on him anyway, so what a waste of the UFC’s time. He was even Serra best man at his wedding… Hey Joey, don’t ever forget “bro’s before ho’s”. Your bro will always be there, and ho’s come and go. I bet the other competitors were fed up with his whining, plus he lost, and walked on his team and gave up training and offering moral support to his new found bro’s….

Yes, I do love the poo jokes, and I’m sure Phil Hartman’s words (as Frank Sinatra in reference to Sting as Billy Idol) would apply to Joey Scrote-ola:
