Why are they bringing Paul Georgieff back? Isn’t this the guy who said he doesn’t like being hit? He looked awful in his fight on the show.

Its a shame old saunders didn’t get to the final – out of everyone on the show i see him progressing the most, like griffin – n’ he’s definitely the most sound guy out of the bunch

I can’t wait for Danzig vs.Speer… That could be a hell of a match. Speer suprised me… he demolished George… That right hand is scarey. Mac is just so much better than everyone else… but I think it’s gonna be a fun fight to watch.

Mac was kind of a penis for most of the show, and his dull monotone lulled me to sleep. Fortunately we have good recaps so i could keep up with everything I missed when I nodded off. But still, he was hands down the best fighter in the house. I hope he chokes the bejeezus out of mini-Hughes.

Its a five fight card, just like a PPV so my guess honestly is a 3 hours.

Good fights; I feel bad for matty-boy. He went from possibly being in the semifinals to not even maiking the aired portion of the fight card during the finale.

Manny is a lay n pray specialist. Thats why is fight at UFC 79 wont be aired. They chose to air Eddie Sanchez instead of the manny fight…what does that tell you?

Main card (televised):
170 lbs.: Mac Danzig vs. Tommy Speer (****)
170 lbs.: Jared Rollins vs. “War Machine” (*)
170 lbs.: George Sotiropoulos vs. Billy Miles ()
170 lbs.: George Sotiropoulos vs. Billy Miles (* SHould have had Arroyo fight George instead then I would have went ****)
170 lbs.: Ben Saunders vs. Dan Barrera (**Didnt they already FIght???)
Under card (May not be broadcast):
170 lbs.: “Rude Boy” vs. Richie Hightower (*)
170 lbs.: Matt Arroyo vs. John Kolosci ()
170 lbs.: Matt Arroyo vs. John Kolosci ()
170 lbs.: Roman Mitichyan vs. Dorian Price (If Roman is any good at all he will win first round, would have put him vs JG)
170 lbs.: Paul Georgieff vs. Jonathan Goulet (1/2* $hoot JG will destroy him in 90Sec.Paul vs Blake would have been funny ) (JG should have fought Dan Barrera or Ben*)
They dont know what they are doing, instead of a fair card they are giving a strong main with a medium body card of nobodies)
Dana should have put it like this, if hightower. Warmachine or Rollins doesnt fight I am giving Hughs a chance to put in a guy. Youve got 2 days till weigh in. Lose it fatties)
Dana really gives these idiots too many chances to screw around… They are there to fight they should be ready at a days notice. So what Kolosci wants to fight, who really wanted to see him fight Danzig again? I understand Arroyos reasoning but hey, I dont even remember his first fight… He missed the boat bigtime, I dont think he really wanted to fight anyway.
I hope farmboy kills Danzig. Not literally just figurativly.

Huerta-vs-guida=I pick Huerta but I could see it going either way, great fight I’m sure.
tommy speers-vs-Mac Danzig=Danzig (great fight)
jared Rollins-vs-Jon Koppenhaver=Jon Koppenhaver by ko
billy miles-vs-George Sotieropolus=George sub in the 1st
Ben Saunders-vs-Dan Barrera=Ben Saunders
Matt Arroyo-vs-John Kolosci=Matt Arroyo sub in 1st rd
Paul Georgieff-vs-Jon Goulet=Goulet(jon better win for his sake)
Troy Mandoloniz-vs-Richie Hightower=Mandoloniz
Roman Mitichyan-vs-Dorian Price=Roman 1st rd sub
With 5 fights gaurenteed to be aired I hope it’s a 3 hour event and like the last ultimate finale they showed all the fights except 2.

When I began watching this season’s UFC, Mac looked like an ass and a jerk but like any other reality show “drama” gets ratings and I think Mac was one of the different pons used to bring ratings to the show.
After viewing how most of these guys fought and seeing how Mac fought I realized early on the show he may be one of the finalist. I personally think it may have made it a more interesting fight for Mac to fight George in the finals but you gots to roll with the puches so it is set to be a good fight but I have to give it to the experienced Mac on this one.

And Mac is one of the smaller guys. Don’t be surprised if he moves down to 155. I was just taking a look at his opponents when he was champ in KOTC. One of his opponents made his fighting debut against Mac. Here are the recognizable names of Mac’s opponents:
Kurt Pellegrino in 2002, Mac lost a decision. It was his 4th fight.
Jason Von Flue in 2004, fought to a draw.
Jason Ireland in 2006, Mac won a decision.
Clay Frend in 2007, Mac lost a decision.
Hayato Sakurai in 2007, Mac got KO’d in round 2. This was Mac’s last fight before TUF.
So yes, Mac does have a ton of experience, but he beat the guys he was supposed to beat, but anyone that currently has a career in MMA, he has pretty much lost to. Hopefully winning Season 6 of TUF is exactly what Mac needs to get his career back on track.

I think that Mac would be a strong fighter at 155. I know he will beat Tommy on saturday. People like Ritchie Hightower have no chance to be successfull at 170. He should drop to 155 but I don’t see him being able to “HANG” with guys like Roger Huerta or definately JOE LAUZON.

HOW THE HELL IS MATT ARROYO NOT ON THE MAIN CARD, but 5 contestants who didnt make it to the semi’s are.
AND WHY THE HELL DID THE MAKE IT LOOK LIKE HE WAS A QUITTER AND WAS WALKING AWAY THE KID HAD A CRACKED RIB i THINK HE HAS THE MOST POTENTIAL COMING OFF THAT SHOW.
Dana is a walking contradiction that one fighter i cant even remember his name the tuf contestant who went to a no contest with maynard. Dana was telling him on the show oh ya you should never fight with an injury blh blah and now there trying to make Matt aroyo seem like a coward. thats BS

Good point. I remember Dana telling that kid from the last Ultimate Fighter that he should never fight injured. I wonder why they didn’t make it more clear that the doctor said he had a cracked rib and a bad bruise. They seemed to only emphasize that it was Matt’s choice, and he chose not to fight.

Why is the War Machine fight on the main card whilst the Hightower/Rude Boy fight on the under card?
At least the latter pair made it past the first round?

Now it makes sense as to why tommy Speer was seen in Matt Hughes´self-glorifying training video, doesnt it? I give the finale to Speer, he´s a natural at 170 while Mac would be at home at 155…

You are missing something’
Matt Serra’s “little punk” fighters name was Joe Scarola.
Dont worry about having to ever watch him fight in the UFC or any MMa promotion for that matter..The guy’s a QUITTER,
A complete FOOL who blew any chance of being a MMa fighter, and lost his job because he is the WORST example of a fighter.

Actually it was FightFinder. I don’t know why you would make such a comment, you seem like one of the better posters. I can admit that I can’t stand when people copy/paste fighter records and fight cards. However, that’s not what I did. I typed his notable opponents that some people would have heard of. Everyone else he fought, he should have beat.
I can guarantee you that you do not even know every opponent, in order, of whom your one single favorite fighter has faced.
Maybe I should just resort to the more commonly used practice used around here by most which is pulling facts out of thier ass as opposed to checking on something before stating its fact.
And Thanks Sucio!!!

i always new mac would win the whole thing and he will the competition he is facing right now is a level beneath his abilities if you ask me, he should of fought a tougher opponent, after he beats speer he will be a good addition to the 170lb mix in the UFC.. all the other tuf fighters need expirience this dude can jump right in the mix.

matt arroyo looks like he can be pretty good, he has good BJJ and a damn good chin, dorian price caught him square in the jaw with a knee and matty didnt go down he only felt it alil he said and u can tell he inst just trying to say he didnt get hurt, if he improves his standup and get a few fights under his belt with the UFC he could easily be a poster boy . DAn Barrera is a warrior needs to improve his striking be alil more technical with combinations and stuff also work alil on BJJ just enough to be able to stand back up and bang.

the strenght part will only help for the take down and i think if it goes to the ground mac will submitt him easily, standing is his best option but mac will overwhelm him

You know, some of us are not as informed or have not been fans for as long as some of you guys. That’s why we come to this site. I don’t have the time to catch up with every fighters past. I have learned more about the fight game in the last few months while reading mmamania threads, than I have in years of casual watching of mma fights. I don’t think Tommy’s fights have been boring. He KO’d George, bloodied up Ben, and beat on War Machine pretty well. Regardless of what happens in the final, he beat tougher guys than Mac did on his way. Also, he’s going to be around whether or not he beats Mac.

tommys good but he poked goerge’s eye out before he had any success in that last fight. speaking of george, is it me or does he have the body of a 50 year old man in that picture. why are his pecs so close to his knees?

Danzig/Spears will be a boring fight ending in Mac winning by decision. Mac must know going into this that his best bet is to keep it low key and win an easy decision. Here’s how it’ll go down:
Fight starts standing and Mac avoids the "magical spears right’. He out scores Tommy with jabs, but won’t even come close to KO’ing him. Mac will avoid the clinch where Tommy’s wrestling will shine and instead go for quick takedowns and then not do much while on top. The ref will stand them up and then repeat from the beginning until the crowd boo’s as Mac’s hand is raised.
How’s that for a specific prediction?
