UFC The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 Finale: Ben Saunders vs. Dan Barrera

Eliminated contestants from this season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), Ben Saunders (4-0-2) and Dan Barrera (0-0), will get to fight a third round after all -- a rematch is scheduled for the TUF 6 Finale at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to FiveOuncesofPain.com.
The two first met in a two-round exhibition match on the show with Saunders earning a majority decision from the judges. It was a result that UFC President Dana White dubbed at the time one of the "worst decisions he's ever seen."

According to the report this bout will more than likely find its way onto the televised portion of the FREE SpikeTV special that begins at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 8. That's probably because it was perhaps among the most exciting scraps in the 11 episodes that have aired this season.
Saunders was eliminated last night, losing a unanimous decision to Tommy Speer in the quarterfinals. Steve Cofield actually caught up with him and he explains that he was incredibly ill during the bout.
In fact, Saunders says the episode the show "didn't even come close to showing how sick he really was." Not to mention his nose was still broken from the Barrera fight.

This time, Saunders will finish the fight via submission.
I wonder who gets injured next week, Matt or George.

Wasn’t Dan the guy posing in front of the mirror in the bathroom instead of training with his team?

I am happy to see a rematch of the 1st fight. Barrera seemed to suffer a mental breakdown during the fight….. He looked like a headcase. I havent even seen Berrara on the show since then. Serra said last night that Ben opened up a cut on Berrerra that had to be closed with 36 stiches….,Damn.
This fight night is shaping out to be a pretty good one. I am curious to see who gets hurt next week and misses there shot at the finale! What a shame to be stuck in that house for all that time, make it to the semi-finals to only back out due to an injury. That sucks…u gotta feel bad for these kids.

Jared or J-rock or whatever the hell he calls himself has got one of the funniest voices. Its up there with Mike Tyson’s. If you close your eyes while he talks he sounds like a White Frat boy.
I sh*t maaaaan, they gave us an upperdecker! lol

There should have been a 3rd round in their first fight, and we already know that these two fighters match up nicely against each other.
ALTHOUGH – there is going to be an injury amongst one of the 4 remaining fighters, so a loser will need to be brought back. I REALLY thought that they would bring back Dan Barrera to fight – seeing that Dana loved his first fight so much that he gave him, the loser a $5K bonus.
Usually when a fighter gets injured, they try and replace them with someone from the same team. If a team Hughes guy were to get injured, Dan would fight for sure, in my opinion. Therefore, I think that either Team Serra’s George or Matt will get injured during training. But who will be the replacement? I would hope its someone that at least won their first round fight – John K, Troy or Hightower.

We can figure it wasn’t Spears who was injured since Ben is fighting on the finale (the guy you beat normally replaces you). Either that or Ben was also hurt and couldn’t step in.
if we use that as a basis, Mac is the one I think gets injured. I don’t see anything about Kolosci fighting on the TUF finale, while the other 3 who were eliminated in the semis advance there.

I think Ben will handle Berrera at the finale. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a more one-sided fight. Nothing against Barrera, but Ben has skills on his feet and on the ground.
On the other subject, wouldn’t the replacement have to be someone not scheduled to fight at the finale yet? If we see Hightower, we know he’s going to lose because he’s fighting Rude Boy. I think if George is hurt it’s got to be Kolosci. If a team Hughes guy gets hurt, it’s going to be Billy.

I’m going for Ben, I was on the show and still like him to win again and start his ufc career.
Side note:I’m always excited to see the ultimate fighter contestants fight established ufc fighters after the finale.

Barrera sucks. I feal kinda sorry for him since his wife obviously has some psychological issues she’s not dealing with but he, as a person, is an egotistical religious hypocrtie. Him and Matt Hughes are like those corrupt televangelists who treat people badly and believe they are morally superior than others just cause they read the bible and identifly with characters in it. That was my favorite moment of this season. Matt Hughe," I want you to read this passage in the bible and tell me who I am in it." What a narcissist. Ben is gonna submit Barrera this time. That farm boy Tommy is lucky Ben was weak from being sick or he would’ve got his arm broken or been put to sleep.

Rumors are circulating that Forrest Griffin vs. Keith Jardine 2 will take place Superbowl weekend at UFC 81, this may be a number 1 contender match.
Also, Fedor is said to possibly be fighting Josh Barnett in Febuary at M-1’s inagural event on U.S soil.

BILLY? No way. Joey Scarolo is the only person to put on a worse performance than Billy. I would even say that Paul looked better than Billy. I think Billy is being kept off of the card for a different reason – HE BLOWS AND HAS NO TALENT OR HEART TO FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
