I am to the first to admit that I do not give Ed Herman the credit he deserves. Ed is like the forgotten TUF alumni, we always seem to forget about him, but he’s a tough kid, who improves. Hopefully he can continue to get better. I for 1 would like to see a rematch between him and Kendall, or Herman vs. Bisping.
Also, off topic, I am one of the biggest Fedor supporters in the world, and I had stated that I would pay $40 to see Fedor fight anyone. But come on, this fight is a joke and i could care less about it. He is fighting this Giant idiot, what a joke.
However, UPDATE: Hayato “Mach” Sakurai, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Hidehiko Yoshida and Shinya Aoki could also compete on this New Year’s Eve card. I am very excited to see these guys fight. Akoi is my favorite grappler, and I miss a good ol’ Japanease event. If they can match these guys up against decent opponents, I will buy this event for sure!

Y is it so tough to find tough 185 lb fighters. It baffles me. I always thought that 185 lb was a pretty common weight. The average male probably weighs close to 185, so y are there so little good 185 lb’s. If I was a young up an comming fighter, I would gain, or cut however much weight neccesary to get to 185.
I dunno, Dana needs to start posting adds or something, lookig for 185 lb animals who love to bang…. Where are you all?
I will be very curious to see the next season of the Ultimate fighter. The middleweight season is long over due, and I hope that the cast is more experienced than this last class. The winner of that season, will have the shortest road to a title shot than any other TUF alumni has had, with the exception of Serra which was the Comeback season. The next season will be such a great opportunity for young fighters because it is no secret that 185 lb division needs lots of help. I just hope to not see guys like Blake Bowman or Ritchie Hightower on the cast. and please if I have to hear one more pussy cry aboput how he wants to go home (scarola), I will throw my TV out the window. Dana has got to be sick of hearing that whinning.

UFC MANIA: Can I get a report on what happened at yesterdays meeting between Noguerra and Couture?
From hearing wanderlei’s interview it sounded like they would resolve those issue’s and Randy would be back to defend his title?
Hopefully I am not wrong. It seems that Dana is hoping to have that fight take place at the Superbowl weekend event, since it is the only event in the near future without a main event scheduled. Am I just reaching here, or is this all still a possibility?

Has anyone herd if UFC 80 from New Castle, England will be on spike TV, or pay per view? Just wondering because the last 2 events in England were free.

I think th reason i is so hard to find 185# fghters is for te same reaon you are saying about the average weight. As a fighter, well I know when I was a wrestler, you generaly try to fight in the weigt class below you, to give yourself the advantage. If you walk around at 205 and can make 185 or even 170(like I bet GSP or hughes walk around close at 205#)you want fight at that weight class because you hope for the weight advantage. After weight ins you get 24hrs to putal that weight back on with fluids and proteins…

I became a Ed Herman fan since his win over Scott Smith. He really has developed quite nicely.
