Reminder: UFCs Forrest Griffin to appear on 'Law & Order SVU' tonight

Forrest Griffin episode in Law & Order
Just a quick reminder that UFC light heavyweight contender Forrest Griffin will make his network television debut tonight on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.

The episode -- dubbed "Fight" -- centers around popular mixed martial artist Mike Kona (Griffin) and his on-screen girlfriend (who happens to be the real-life squeeze of regular castmember, Ice-T). Kona is the suspect in the death of a local teenager.

Should be interesting to see the spin on this one. Let's just hope Griffin has polished his acting skills since hosting the "Tuffest 25 Moments on SpikeTV" earlier this year with fellow The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one alum, Stephan Bonnar.

I actually asked him about that on Saturday night and he said acting is definitely harder than fighting…

It would have been hilarious if the forensic person was like, “It looks like the victim took a lot of punches to the face, the impact looks as if it was caused by strikes from the mount. She died from suffocation, an omoplata transitioned to a triangle choke.”

I just want to state, this is just a Rumor.. but it is a very interesting Rumor.

Dana White missed his dinner with Randy Couture, now they will meet up sometime after Thanksgiving.

At the end of the rumor it said “There isa speculation that it might be Randy Couture vs. Rampage Jackson”

Rampage vs. Randy..

herm..

That is much much much much more of a money maker.

That possibly is the dream match I have been wanting to see all my life.

Randy vs. Rampage would be sweet and would make sense! There is no consensus HW #1 contender. There is no consensus #1 LHW contender. Instead of leaving the champs idle while it gets sorted out, why not have them fight each other!

Thought the episode was supposed to CENTER around Mike
kona(Forrest). He was the suspect in a death.

What they didnt tell us was……He was the first suspect eliminated. And that he was killed and out of the episode by the fist commercial break.

Episode was named “fight”. Had very little to do with it. He defiitely was NOT the CENTER of the episode. Very short appearance. I thought, well the ENTIRE episode was CENTERED around Kona(Forrest) and IDE T’s chick.

Oh well It was cool while it lasted anyhow.

I very much doubt it’s going to be Rampage vs Randy. That sounds more like internet forum speculation, seeing how they officially offered Couture a Big Nog fight.

There’s no reason to have the champs fight and put a division’s title picture in limbo. If Rampage wins, does he now have to fight HW and LHW contenders, or does Randy remain champ, even though he lost? Same thing vice-versa. It could get ugly.

They don’t need consensus #1 contenders. They’ll put Rampage or Randy in with a guy who has legit reason for a title fight. You have 3 guys that are all roughly equal as far as title-shot worthiness goes? Give it to one guy, have the other 2 fight for the next shot. Giving more top guys title shots is good for the sport. It keeps it fresh. You don’t want the same 2 guys to alternate title spots by making consensus #1 contenders everytime.

Hey guys I’ll have the video of Forrest’s parts in Law and Order on my site tommorow in case anyone misses it. Renzo Gracie is also in it.

Forrest had literally “15 minutes of fame”, that’s how long his appearance was in L&O SVU which it was cool, it is one of the best police shows in TV. Good for him.

i’m glad i wasn’t the only one who noticed Renzo… even though all he did was take a beating from Forrest and not say a word. in the credits they did give him a name though.

Yeah i was surprised that he was done by the first commercial break. What the hell ? I guess it was all just hype for the show

Right, how stupid. As soon as he threatened Naptime’s life (I HATE that guys voice) and was walking out of the station and the gun shot was heard, I said out loud to my wife “GREAT, there goes Forrest already”. And sure enough, he was done with. The show was not about Forrest at all. It was about two black kids – they should have been in the commercial. That internet promo was actually longer than his actual appearance on the show. Besides threatening Naptime, the only other scene that I really remember of him was him beating a girl. GREAT POSITIVE exposure for MMA huh, …..
