When I saw Gonzaga being 255 rather than his usual 245 against couture I knew He’d have a bad time..

by ntvman on Nov 16, 2007 4:35 PM EST reply actions
I think you get a pound unless it’s a title fight, right?
by BTay on Nov 16, 2007 4:36 PM EST reply actions
Yeah, you can weigh an extra pound above the limit if it’s a non-title fight.

Was just on UFC.com and they have an excellent technical write up on the Evans/Bisping fight. This is by far, the most technical write up I’ve ever seen on UFC.com
by ViolentMike on Nov 16, 2007 4:41 PM EST reply actions
yes u get a pound if its a non-title fight, so rashad weight is good. I am not going to PPV this ufc, not worth it IMO, never know might be alot of great fights, but ill save the 40 bucks. Rashad’s last fight performance against tito was bad, along with tito’s performance as well lol, and bisping last fight he should of lost agaisnt hamil, so that fight might be ok. Be intresting to see how houston does, karo fights are always good to watch, but not really any that i would look forward to watching

Not a Rashad fan but think he is going to have his way with Bisping. He is too well rounded and too strong. Will be very aggresive fight for certain.

Man, Alexander is a lean 203. Dude’s ripped, 6’0 and easily gets under 205. That’s impressive. His body fat has to be sub 5%.

Hope Ed Herman gets his punk ass beat down.. that will be worth the price of admission!

That is a great analysis of the fight. Michael DiSanto did a great job writing it up. Sounded like he knew a thing or two about boxing.

Bisping is going to get his ass kicked… i think he is way over rated and has not fought the caliber of oppenents rashad has.

It’s not fair. It’s easier for Houston to make weight because he only has one kidney.

Houston has way more power than Silva in his arms, both are good strikers, but I think Houston has way more power, 2 or 3 hits, will knock Silva down. Prediction = 1st Round knockout, Houston.

The weigh-ins can definately give you an indicator as to who’s really ready to mix it up & who isnt. I too have either solidified my current pick or changed my picks based on what I saw at a weigh-in.

Didn’t Deigo Sanchez push Josh Koscheck at UFC 69.
Herm, whats up with these ultimate fighter kids not having respect for one another.
Well, I might just change my vote because we saw what happened when Deigo pushed Koscheck..
Deigo got herpies.. ergh staph and Koscheck got to get beatdown by GSP!

Thing is an aggressive Rashad should beat most guys handily but when is he ever aggressive? The last 30 seconds against Tito?
by RobH86 on Nov 16, 2007 8:05 PM EST reply actions
If these two guys “bring it” then this could be a super exciting fight. For some reason, Rashad sometimes seems to not have “a killer instinct”. IMO putting some money on Rashad makes sense.
by Muscle Dolphin on Nov 16, 2007 8:24 PM EST reply actions
not impressed with the lack of sportsmanship from Rashad at the weigh ins…i know he’s just pumped up but hes ruined a previously good reputation. I want Bisping to win but i just think Rashad has too much for bisping to handle. Although i’d love to see a head kick KO from Bisping….
by Jakizzle on Nov 16, 2007 8:59 PM EST reply actions
Bisping will try tone his antics down as he is sorry for the Hamill episode. But this time its Rashad being a dick head i hope Bisping breaks his face.

Maybe not much but today there is more support for Bisping.

hahahahahaah
What’s up with Rashad, he wouldn’t shake Bispings hand and pushed him at weigh-ins…. Rashad does have a little swagger in his walk and talk, but some of that trash seems manufactured.

Mind games? I think Rashad’s a nice guy but is trying to get into Bisping’s head. Bisping has said he has a lot of respect for Rashad so he probably didn’t expect that at the weigh-in.

No fighter who steps into the Octagon is a punk ass (except for maybe Joey Scarola and a few others).

That may be it, Bisping did say Rashad’s a gentleman in UFC Countdown 78 so Rashad is playing off that. Rashad also has a degree in Psychology so maybe his BA actually came in handy.

Watched the weigh ins and to reply to the very first reply on this thread I do change my picks from time to time based on the weigh in or make my pick on some fights based on the weigh in.
that being said I’m going with Karo I had previously not had a pick for that fight but now it’s all Karo.
and I change my pick from aurelio winning to caudillo I think Luke has this was now.
Bisping reaching out his hand and evans shoving him, what a punk, excellent stare down thou.
I’m certain they will air a sixth fight being that there is no title fights and some of these fights have 1st rd ko potential, that being said I’m kind’ve excited to see any of the undercard fights.
Looking forward to tonight.
by Jesse Canadian MMA on Nov 17, 2007 9:55 AM EST reply actions
unfortunately almost all these fights will go to the judges, and we probably wont be able to watch the undercards.

Want Bisping to win but i think Rashad takes it in a decision
Alexander in a 2nd round TKO
Ed Herman Unan. Dec.
Karo Unan. Dec.
Spencer Fisher 2nd round KO
Chris Lytle Unan. Dec.
Lauzon 2nd round KO

Hell I’m hoping for either a double TKO/ or a draw. This way both will be out of the “Top 10” rankings. Bisping will drop like a fly since he’s out of his element, except for last Dec, he always fights back home= huge home field (octagon)advantage. But after the Hamil fight, most of the crowd and the true MMA followers rooted for Hamil for his balls out effort. I wish they had like a WWE triple threat match with Houston, so he can pound and KTFO both of em’. They’re both “mouths” they talk the talk. Herman and Danzig are the same as well, yap yap blah blah.

I just saw the weigh ins. Sucks that they’re not even showing the Lytle vs. Alves fight, glad I didn’t order it. That push from Evans was nothing, they were both smiling afterwards. The UFC should have hyped this better by some animosity, but no, that’s why the ratings for this one will suck. Houston may have his hands full, did you see how confident Silva was, he must have a great game plan. OH yeah the new blue bikini ring girl….ooohhhh..smokin",,,,Wonder who’s hittin’ that?

Who shakes hands before a fight? Rashad wouldn’t have pushed Bisping if he hadn’t done that lame foreheading rubbing staredown that he did with Hamill and Sinosic. Bisping initiated it.

Errrmm every fighter shakes hands whether it be before or after the stare downs at weigh ins….rashad is being an idiot and i hope he gets stomped on. I thought training in the same camp as GSP would allow some gentlemanly conduct to rub off on rashad but clearly not…

My bad, I meant to say who shakes hands before the staredown. BTW, not every fighter shakes hands before a fight. Why would he anyway, especially after the comments Bisping’s been making in his blogs.

We will obviously have another disaster in the UFC. If one judge gave the fight to Bisping he is blind, how do we have to put up with this crap, tonoght we saw the up and coming bad ass. Thiago will be the man, lets just hope we get to see the beat down he would put on Chuck. Rashad is boring but he won hands down, go home Bisping you $%^&ing piece of S%^t. And he still has the odacity to say he won. Lets keep this fight game here in the USA. Piss on the brits bullshit
