This is going to be a great fight, I’m really looking forward to it. Spencer always puts on a great show and Edgar was great against Griffin. I think Spencer is going to bring it to Edgar with pressure and quickness and Edgar won’t be able to handle it.
This 78 card, originally started out pretty poor, but to me its now gotta be one of the best overall cards the UFC has put together.
I’m eager to see the crowd’s reaction to Bisbing after how he acted after the Hamill fight. I hope Rashad is able to take that fight and bring Bisbing back down to earth.

Spencer’s last fight against Sam Staut was great, he showed great stand up, was so quick and accurate, his Mua-Thai is great, I think he can win this fight. I have to admit that Frank Edgar’s fight with Tayson G was also great.

This probably will be the best fight of the night. You are going to see a war.

This is such a tough match to call.
I want to see Spencer Fisher and Frankie Edgar just slug it out, but Frankie Edgar’s phenominal wrestling will probably lead him to a victory in this.
I dont see neither of these guys getting knocked out or submitted, I see this as a Fight of the Night decision.

LOL, everything you said, I hope, was a joke. Appologizing for the first time 3 months after the fact, isn’t worth crap. He’d get boo’d 10 times louder if he even tried. Evans, a stepping stone for Bisping? Damn, you must have some reaally good weed over there. They are both undefeated and Evans has fought MUCH tougher competition. This fight is more of fight to ‘Shut Bisping up’ than it is a ‘stepping stone for Bipsing’. And send Evans back to wrestling? Evans is turning into a nicely well rounded fighter. On the other hand, Bisping is strictly a stand up fighter, no matter what he says he working on, and Matt Hammil out fought him for 14 minutes in a stand up fight. I WOULD say to send Bisping back to kickboxing, but he appearantly sucks at that now too, evidence being Matt The Hammer.

This is going to be the fight of the night. Both guys are very high energy. Whoever wins this fight should be knocking on the door for a shot at the title. I can see both of these guys winning this fight.

I agree VM, Bisping is a good striker until he gets hit!… Hammil was the first guy to continual trade with Bis and Hammil was pretty slow, Bis is lacking here. However, I didn’t like the way Rashad looked in his last fight with Tito, maybe it was Tito’s size advantage that made Rashad tired and lose his striking edge in the later rounds… whatever it better be fixed this fight.

lmfao.hope your not looking for Bisping to win.because you will be sadly disappointed.stepping stone, that funny shit.I cant wait for Evans to hand Bisping’s ass to him.Everyone knows after he fights Evans he’ll have some bullshit excuse.then announce he’ll be dropping to 185, and then Anderson Silva will kick the shit out of him.(if Franklin or MacDonald does’nt first.

Frankie’s hands are really underrated and i could see him hurting fisher on the feet. Frankie is gonna take him down at will and win this fight via UD

I have to disagree with you both on a couple of things. One, Bisping is not solely a stand up fighter because if he was then Elvis would have submitted him in their fight. In that fight he showed that he has grappling skills in his submission defense otherwise he would have tapped. Most of his fights were won by strikes but he does have 3 submissions(1 choke, 2 armbars)to his name. Secondly, the trouble Evans had with Ortiz wasn’t so much the size, since Evans has proved he has no problems with bigger fighters when he fought all those HWs, but it was Ortiz’s great wrestling foundatation(which Evans is used to being the better wrestler) and his experience that gave him the edge. In the end I give the fight to Evans by decision.

Oh I forgot this was originally about Fisher and Edgar. Fisher is destined to be champ. He’s well rounded, experienced and has the heart. Fisher by decision.

Frankie vs. Spencer…this will be about as exciting as it gets. Very close call… Fisher via split decision.

Two well-mannered guys that know how to fight. I don’t want to see either fighter lose, but I’ll be looking foward to it. I think it’ll be Frankie by UD or Spencer by sub.

I agree with a lot of you….this will be a fast paced, big action fight of the night. If Frankie wants to stand up I think Fisher will be the victor. But really, when these guys fight, is there ever a loser?

i cannot wait for this fight, i really like the whole card, but this fight is my main event, i like both guys a lot, i’ll be happy for either if they win and i’ll feel bad for either if they lose, but i just want to see a great fight and i can pretty much guarantee thats gonna happen…i’m gonna pick frankie in front of his home crowd, i like him by either a decision or a late gnp stoppage…

UFC 78 features no title fights, no grudge matches, and no true marquee names. I feel we’ll have to wait six more weeks for UFC 79 a huge event.
However, for some of us hardcore fans we can appreciate the other fights.

Bisping is by far, PRIMARILY a stand up fighter. Have you ever seen him look to take a fight to the ground? Also, he better know how to lay on a Rear Naked Choke – who doesn’t? Next to that and a guillatine, and arm bar is the 3rd easiest submission to pull off. Lets see if Bisping tries to shoot in on Rashad, or if he tries to stay standing. Bisping is about as one dimensional of a standup fighter they have in the UFC. If he couldnt fend off weak submission attempts or apply a RNC, he would NOT be competing in MMA.
And for your second objection – I don’t quite understand it. Are you trying to say that Bisping has better wrestling than Tito?
As far as experience goes, Rashad gets the edge over Bisping. More fights in the octagon, and tougher competition. Nine Deuce, we do however agree on the outcome, Rashad by decision. I am rooting for a stoppage, but I don’t think it will come.

Dis’n Frankies hands will be a huge mistake on fischer part, though the kings hands are respectable to say the least Frankie’s hands are faster.Every interview I’ve seen Spencer Fischer says he doesn’t want it to end up on the ground being boring,I think thats exactly what he wants trying to set Frankie up for a submision! Edgar on a split!!!!!!!!
