Versus: UFCs Dana White on 'Sports Unfiltered' with Dennis Miller tonight (Video update)

dennis miller UFC
UFC President Dana White is scheduled to appear as a special guest tonight (Tuesday, November 13) on the Versus program "Sports Unfiltered" with show host Dennis Miller at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Here's a brief description of the format:

"Dennis Miller, one of the great comic minds of our generation, will unleash his unmatched wit on the world of sports in his new weekly series for VERSUS. Dennis has been offering his sardonic slant on current events and pop culture since he first took over the Weekend Update desk on Saturday Night Live. Having wowed audiences and critics on his hit HBO show, nabbing multiple Emmy Awards, Dennis now pairs his comedic prowess with his passion for sports. Incorporating interview segments with satirical spoofs and rants, all of the signature Miller elements will be present to provide a unique and unparalleled sports program."

Versus is the same channel that airs World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) events -- a smaller UFC sister company. Check local listings for channel lineups, showtimes and re-runs.

Miller is definitely a smart and funny guy but he’s not one to ask very tough question.

Ha! Yes, very interesting indeed. I made the correction. Thanks. It is on tonight, Tuesday, November 13. Long day ;).

Miller was funny years ago – unfortunately he has morphed into a “right wing wack job”.

Thanks for posting this mania!
I just stumbled upon it and really thought your readers would def. be interested.

But why did i have to e-mail you guys so many times?
Did you already know and were waiting for the last minute?

I figured to give Mania a heads up last week, and since most people were p’d off that the recent countdown for UFC 78 was at midnight, (and perhaps a little weak) that the 10:30 slot on Vs would suffice.
MANIA, Is there a way in the future for me to contribute to the site in a way that doesn’t have to be so persistent?
Thank you

What makes him a “wack job”… just curious.

I guess that makes you a left-wing nut job.

This sounds about as exciting as Howell Cobb giving giving James Buchanan a briefing on Fiscal Responsibility as it relates to the Reconstuction. (dennis miller obscure references: off)

After his comments tonight, I really don’t think Charles Barkley would get along with Randy Couture :)

So how is he a “wack job”? Lemme guess…you don’t agree with him on EVERYTHING? You must be one of those: republicans bad…democrats good…kinda person, right? God I hate politics!

so whats up with dana refusing to comment on crocops claim that he ready to fight in the ufc again in early 08

Dana actually came off really well in this interview. I wish he had more time in the interview but still good. I’m not dana nuthugger but sometimes he can be a pretty cool guy. I liked how they showed Houston Alexanders two ko’s in the highlight package.

I hope he’ll give Dana really hard time…

Miller doesn’t know squat about MMA, he seemed to know Chuck only lost 1 not 2 as of latest… at least he seemed enthusiastic about MMA and understood some history about it being sanctioned… couldn’t White have worn a little nicer shirt?

What makes him a “wack job”… just curious.

Because ad hominem attacks are the way the left dismisses effective argument. Rather than engage on the merit or lack of merit of the particular point they tend to try to end the conversation with one of the following 7 words; bigot, racist, islamaphobe, sexist, homophobe, zenophobe, or crazy.

“wack job” appears to be a variation of the latter.

The right believes the left is wrong, the left believes the right is evil.

On an unrelated note, I agree with the point that Dennis probably won’t be too tough on Dana, his interview style tends to be Larry King-like. [Of course I’m writing this on Wed morning, after missing the interview]

If any fledgling show wants to get any sort of decent guests to come on (hence helping the show become successful), they probably won’t be too tough – or else no one will want to come on.

Anybody see this last night? What the hell was Dana wearing? It looked like he had on an 8 year olds t-shirt I mean come on! Your the UFC president, you can dress a little better then that!

In that case, we better not let Highes, Couture, Griffin or anybody else that claims to be a Christian and supports the troops figt in the UFC.

Nobody cares what the politics are cause were not talkin politics. THIS IS MMAMANIA! The one place I can go on the web and forget about politics. So… SHUT IT!

Sorry, mused dolphin, I didn’t mean to get all emotional. Accept my humble apologies and let the world be one.

What am I even saying? I keep typing but I have nothing to say. It’s 8:30 and I’m supposed to be working, yet here I sit.

who cares about dennis miller and Dana white. Dana white contradicts himself from one day to the next. What he says tonight, by next week he will feel the opposite. He was all kiddy about signing Fedor the best mma fighter ever, and then a week later he said Fedor isnt even top 5. I dont ever want to hear Dana speak again.

Exactly. If you want to discuss politics go post your comments somewhere else.

Dennis Miller is a “whack-job” because he’s swimming in Bush’s kool-aid.

Dennis Miller is a “whack-job” because he’s swimming in Bush’s kool-aid.

If you’ve ever actually watched/listened to Dennis Miller then you would know that, yes, he tends to lean Republican, but he is more than intelligent enough to form and deliver his own opinions. He will not spout party line rhetoric just because Bush/Cheney say so.

PW

When Dennis Miller’s comedy career died – he tried football announcing – and that died too. In order to survive on TV he reinvented himself as a warmongering right-wing neo-con Zionist.

These are the people who are destroying our country.

Miller is versed in history, politics, and our culture. Up until 9/11 he was a staunch liberal. That day turned many people, including myself. For the good in my opinion.

I was wrong to even hint at politics (something that I can’t stand by the way) and no longer follow. I apologize to anyone that I may have “rattled”. I agree that my statement was innappropriate. Case closed. I do think that he was funny back in his Saturday Night Live days though.
