I might sound a little stupid but who is this kimbo.

MMAMaina, why are you putting Kimbo’s fight on the top of the list like it is the main event?

Also, I thought Kimbo had one win as a professional fighter already via guillotine choke…

Frankthetank, Kimbo Slice is some really hyped up huge black man who has gained fame via the internet for his street brawls.

Im Think The Striker(kimbo) Wins By Sub. And The B.J.J Black Belt Nick Diaz Wins By K.O.

KIMBO BY EARLY 2ND ROUND SUBMISSION******

Kimbo Is Gonna Whoop This Guys A**. Kimbo Is Gonna Surpise Alot of People With How Well Rounded He Is. We All Know His Striking Is Lethal .. I See Him Throwing Alot Of Standing Elbows. I Think His Ground Game Is Gonna Shock People.
Kimbos Last Fight With Ray Mercer Was An Exhibition Fight.

NICK DIAZ BY 2ND ROUND K.O****

Nick Diaz Is Gonna Come Out And Tear Noons Apart. Nick Is True Expert In The MMA Game. He’s Definitly A Very Underated Fighter.

Kimbo’s fight was just the top one of EliteXC’s webpage which explains why his match is on top. Also Elite’s web page has Kimbo’s record as (0-0) which is why it says that here. I thought he had his 1 professional fight also vs Ray Mercer but the company he fought for may not be recognized by the Athletic commission.

Although i have no idea who Bo Cantrell is, I’m gonna be rooting for him all the way.

You can also watch it on the fightNetwork if you dont have ShowTime.

Kimob’s first fight was technically an exibition, and not an official prof. MMA fight.

I should have just paid to get Showtime. I really wanted to see these fights.

Jake Shields was talking about how much he wanted to be in the UFC and face the top competition. I’m guessing big fish in small pond turned out to be his choice instead.

Just called Time Warner. It’s well worth the 12 bucks a month to get showtime just to see these fights.

mctapout is right. You don’t fix a fight to look like shit. If it was a fix (which I doubt), it was botched horribly.

Noons defeats Diaz cuz of cut doctor stoppage….

by XxXFactor on Nov 10, 2007 11:54 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

the fight was good but Diaz was getting picked apart by Noons stand up and Diaz was takin the shots and didn’t seem affected by them at all…he got a nice slam at the end of the round but the cut was too bad to continue over his left eye…i agree about that Kimbo fight tho that otehr guy just seemed as if he was outpowered and didnt want anything to do with Kimbo…

He sure isnt no nick diaz is he. Well hes a hell of a stricker. Oh and he beat nick.Kimbo didnt fight tonight his oppent bo cantrell laid down and tapped out. There wasnt no big finish no showcase of skill because BO CANTrell tapped before the fight started.

by frankthetank on Nov 11, 2007 12:27 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Kimbo was not really that impressive, it kinda seemed like that was rigged.

Uppercut to body, right hook to jaw, tap tap tap tap tap match over, 19 seconds.

Nick Diaz got beat. It seemed like KJ worked on his takedown defense incredibly. He got inside of Nick’s reach, hit him with great shots, a need to bust him open, dropped Nick with a punch, and then he got cut again (which I figured it would be stopped when they showed blood in his eye) and there you have it.

Nick Diaz has looked less that impressive in his two elite xc.

As long as he is not the next Tito Ortiz I will be happy.

by "Mr. NC-17" on Nov 11, 2007 12:42 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I still can’t believe people were actually arguing that Diaz can take BJ Penn. His takedowns are trash!

by ABM!2! on Nov 11, 2007 12:47 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Disappointing all around. Rather telling when the doctor is interviewed for a reason he stopped the fight to quell an unruly crowd. Too bad it doesn’t look like KJ is headed to the hospital for round two.

does anyone have the kimbo vs bo fight on video? i can’t find it.

by Ryan on Nov 11, 2007 12:58 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

kimbo’s fight was set up had to be

no doubt about it. The way that fight was staged, they should have just put Goldberg in the ring. That shit was staged worse than WWE.

does anyone have the kimbo vs bo fight on video? i can’t find it.

it’ll supposedly be up shortly on this site:

http://www.mmatko.com/

It’s 18 seconds of pure shit though. Cantrell took an uppercut to the chest. You can clearly see that it never touches his head when you watch in slow motion. Then Kimbo catches him with an elbow to the ear that may have bounced off the other guy’s shoulder. I couldn’t tell for sure. Either way an elbow to the ear from “The Mighty Kimbo Slice” is enough to knock a man out, or at least make him fall down and tap out.

I like the way the announcers tried to do damage control and say that Cantrell must have been intimidated or some crap b/c of the mystique of Kimbo. If you’re going to have a staged fight you need to make sure the “winner” has good enough accuracy to actually connect on his punches.

by leroy on Nov 11, 2007 1:30 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

thanks for the link, I hope its up soon. it sounds pretty messed up if it was rigged.

by Ryan on Nov 11, 2007 1:41 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I think Diaz has been very overrated by the fact that he beat Gomi. At this point, the fact that Gomi was kicking Diaz’ ass until he gassed looks much more relevant than the fact that Diaz beat Gomi after Gomi could barely lift his hands. He’s looked good in losses against Sherk, Sanchez, and Parisyan, but all of those are guys who will willingly go the ground with Diaz. Guys like Koons, who can outstrike him and fend off crappy takedowns, are going to kick his ass.

by Michaelthebox on Nov 11, 2007 2:45 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

jus saw the fight on that site and i dont think it was rigged, maybe, but i doubt it – kimbo comes in and just pretty much scares the guy and makes him move back to the cage (bad move) has him stuck then just dishes a few punches out. whack fight but i rekon they were some hard blows – especially at the end, when the guy drops, kimbo whacks him on the back of the head – which was a bit weird

by Insain on Nov 11, 2007 8:24 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

All the people crying about the Kimbo fight being staged need to sit back and look at things. You’re flat on your chest after taking two good shots and you have this huge muscular guy about to come down on you with big punches. Bo pussied out but that definetely wasn’t staged.
