UFC Quick Quote: Din Thomas lawyer refutes recent 'fight club' charges

"[Din Thomas] did not break the law that he is being charged with breaking.... These were sparring sessions to get participants experience.... We see this as training sessions, sparring sessions between teammates."
-- Cory Sucher -- the lawyer for UFC lightweight fighter Din Thomas -- responds via TCPalm.com to recent charges that his client coordinated illegal "cage fighting" matches near his American Top Team training facility in Port St. Lucie, Florida. To see the actual arrest warrant click here.

This makes a lot more sense. Din sounds like a stand up guy.

good cover story – and i like how they justify the $10 as raffle prize money instead of just being pocket money like it probably was

The actual warrant says: “Din Yero Thomas”. I thought that was his nickname. Is his real middle name Yero?

Agreed.
This is a stupid charge against Din Thomas.
How come Kimbo Slice can fight and not get arrested but Din Thomas hosts a “sparring” session and gets busted.

What is the real reason to arrest him.
If its about the fighting do more about hockey fights then.

Yeah this is all crap. That is everyone leaving these comments. Since when do sparring matches get aduiences. And charge everyone $10 at the door. The guy was obveisouly holding an unsanctioned mma event. Next thing i will hear is vick was innocent on his dog fighting charge. The guy is guilty and he knows it.
