Grove was not manhandled. Cote caught him with a perfect punch right behind his ear, happens to everyone. Before that punch the fight was even. He will be back. He has a bright future.

Kendall who? Some things really aren’t blog worthy… this is one

by Reldeed on Oct 26, 2007 3:36 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

miarep; I agree. Kendal was not manhandled! He got caught by a lucky punch, he’s not my favourite fighter but I do like him and agree 100% that he is the future. If he is not a champion in the coming years then I will be very suprised.
I agree with Bisping some fans are fickle!

I’ve always wondered if that punch didn’t quality as an illegal punch to the back of the head. Must be an awfully fine line between back of the ear and back of the head…

Who is Kendall Grove going to fight?

Terry Martin?
Chris Leben?
Nate Quarry?
Jason MacDonald?
If Healthy, Drew McFedries?
What about Evan Tanner if he can kick the drinking problem?

Martin Kampmann is still out and might be for a long time.

him and leban are boys, i’m sure they would fight if they had to, but kendall and leban both would probably prefer other opponents…and terry martin is a horrible match up for kendall, he does not do well against big strong guys with ko power like martin, as shown in his losses to riggs, ramirez and cote…

by tha spida on Oct 26, 2007 4:47 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

maybe mcdonald will be ready to fight by then, thats the match i want to see…

I think he fights Jason Macdonald next… he was taking offence to jmac calling himself “tuf killer” and now they are both coming off losses.

i heard over a month ago that nate marquadt is fighting in jan or feb, he might fight grove or i would think chris leban will be fighting him

Yeah, with all of trash talking going on and the conflicting styles, I too want to see this fight. I go with Grove TKOing MacDonald sometime in the 2nd.

any body else just really hate this guy, i try not to be bias but some reason this guy just erks me. i hope he gets knocked out a couple more times so he has to fight somewhere else. please let him fight quarry, so everyone else knows hes a fluke. kalib was beating his ass and got caught by a knee.
i think quarry would kill him way more technical fighting style

I’d like to see Marquadt back in the mix. A win over Kendall Grove would be solid and there’s no doubt in my mind that Nate would handle him. There’s no shame in losing to Anderson Silva and frankly even though he already lost once, I still think that out of all the middleweights in the UFC right now(besides Henderson, of course) he has the best chance at beating Silva.

yeah… he may beat silva once if he fights him 100 times… a much bigger mismatch than serra vs gsp

That would be awesome to have Hawaii based fighters in a UFC event here. I will be rooting for the Maui boy !

FYI “Mr. NC-17” Evan Tanner has kicked drinking and is at this time working his ass off training. He is going to shock the world when he becomes MW champ once more. As far as Kendall goes, I have always said when a fighter thinks he is better then he really is-is when he gets OWNED!!

What about Okami? I would think he has the best chance to beat Silva. In their first fight, Okami was able to put Silva on his back, who knows how the fight woulda went if not for the up-kick by silva. I’m not saying that Okami’s the second best in the division, but I think he has a better shot then Marquardt at beating Silva. If Marquardt has the best chance at defeating the champ, that belt isn’t going anywhere for a long time. Get Hendo in there!!!!

i’d like to see joe(diesel)riggs beat him down again.that was funny.

Middleweigt divisioal breakdown

Kampan: has talent but his knee is all messed up.

Mcfedries: I like a lot, his stand up is phenominal. I would like to see his groundgame improve.

Okami: strong but boring

Mcdonald: skilled but lacks toughness and killer instincts

Marquardt: I am not sure about, I havent decided if he is a contender or a pretender yet.

Grove: very immature, huge upside

Bisping belongs at 185

Leiben: Big Chin, Big punching power always has a shot.

Terry Martin: Same as Leiben

Im starting to think that the middleweight division is actually better than I give it credit for. Anderson Silva is so much better than everyone else that it makes the other fighters look worse than they are.

I would like to see Mcfeedries vs. terry martin
Grove vs. Mcdonal
Grove vs. Bisping
Okami vs. Marquardt

I agree wuth u he is a very consistent fighter, he has alot of potential even enough to become ufc champion but, sometime it seems like he questions his own abilities, he needs to be 100% body and 100% mind he reminds me of st-pierre i dont think kendall will make the same mistake twice he is the type of fighter that will learn from his mistake and better himself will see what 08 has instored for him

by hector on Oct 28, 2007 3:19 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

J.Cameron: Joking about what? I’m just calling it the way it is. Like I said He’s not my favourite fighter, so looking at it from an un-biased view you cannot deny that Kendal has the tools to have a successful career at middleweight in the future. His ever-evolving skills and his height make him a threat, simple as that

Is UFC 80 officially in Newcastle? I live there and no-where has any official announcments about this let alone tickets. And as far as I could see the only arena really suitable seems to be booked for the night UFC 80 is scheduled for?

Bisping is a Fag!!!!!! Everybody knows Matt Hamill beat him square and fare. It was like he was afraid of approaching Hamill. Hamill had the lead every round – I’m surprised the judges squeaked in a split decision for Bisping when he had a face that reflected his fear because he knew he was no match for Hamill — Hamill’s striking was superior and wrestling superb. Bisping is just a wanna be contender – Rashad Evans will put a spanking on him. Bisping will fall 15-1 Mark my words!
