Calling all MySpace maniacs ...

UFCmania.com is just a two-man operation -- two-and-one-tenth if you count Jesse.

This reality makes it hard to stay on top of everything as we should because our site remains the top priority.

MySpace.com is one area in which we have slacked since our inception. Sure, we check our page and update it frequently ... but nowhere near as much as we can and must. We recognize it as another great way to stay in touch with all of our readers.

I'm also not the most MySpace.com-savvy individual to be perfectly honest.

Therefore, if anyone out there is interested in helping us manage our MySpace.com page or has some ideas to make it better let us know.

I have no idea what the responsibilities entail or how this will work. We're just looking for feedback at this time.

I’ll help manage your myspace page. Maybe right there would be good to hold thoughts and ideas on blogs from a couple of our top bloggers, while also reporting new news.

Like when news you post on here, we can post it as a bulliten or a blog feature.

ok you need pics of everyone who works at ufcmania.com all up and in the photo section. Second of all you need to get a flash site put up instead ofthe gross looking colors you got now. you can go here for that… http://www.lovemyflash.com/

There you will find sweet flash layouts. Or if you guys at mania are crazy enough design your own flash site to put up.

Also you need to post bulletins all the time about whatever the new posting is on ufcmania.com. Maybe like give us a teaser that makes us go to the real site from the myspace site. Stuff like that. I could prob list a billion more things too but Ill keep it like this to leave it simple. Let meknow if you want more help Mania.

Yeah everything DJ Pullout said and adding everyone, correlating the posts, managing the spam, deleting obsolete accounts from the roster. I have plenty of free time (I live on the computer), but since NC-17 did such a fantastic job with his piece about UFC 77, I think the job should go to him. I suppose you can have a back up person to help out at times- provide coverage if you will, but you don’t want too many hands in the pot. If you’re only gonna have 1 person though – I vote NC-17 as a definite.

It sure is hard to keep up with the news on the website alone… keeping up with the social networks is going to be very hard. Do you plan on distributing news using myspace?

TouchÃƒÂ©!! A well run myspace can get your site hits up exponentially- particular if you are sending out teaser bulletin with links back to the main website. I was actually surprised you guys only had 1600ish myspace friends.

You guys should also try to shut down imposers such as GSP’s MySpace page. He has openly said on his site that the guy on myspace is not him and it is an imposer. Sure if you are a fan you can start up a fan page but to pretend you are someone famous is just lame.

See if anyone can track down him true identity and then throw him in the octagon with the real GSP.

Personally, I very rarely go on this sites MySpace, because I kind of hate MySpace. They need more servers or something because it is always so slow.

Having said that I will help in any way I can. I have editing experience. Dont really think that translates in any kind of MySpace help.

Myspace is to our generation as to crack-cocaine was to Harlem in the 1980’s. It runs our every minute of everyday. To spend time in developing the brand name of UFCmania.com via Myspace is genius. The site will only gain more fame and grow.
