Cant wait ..hopefully they stack this card up like the one they did here last year. That building was so full of energy you couldnt hear yourself think. The crowd was so much more into it compared to 78. The card was alot better too. Hendo vs Spyder good start.hopefully they throw in Rampage vs anyone.dana usually saves the mega cards for Vegas .Either way i am ready.

i just dont understand why so many people r jumping off the spyders bandwagon and saying henderson is gonna knock him out. i just dont c it happening especially in the 2nd round.. if anything i caould c a 4th or fifth round stoppage due to strikes. if it is any shorter than the 4th i think it goes to anderson.i know my opionion means nothing but i think the spider is just peaking and is the best p4p in mma.

Yeh the crowd seemed reLLY LAME AT 78…
I dont know about this one… could go either way, one thing is for sure, Anderson better be prepared for a real fight with Hendo! Hendo is as they say, a REAL fighter…
What does Anderson do should he lose? Move up?
Or for that fact Hendo… will he go back upto 205 if he were to lose?
by ToeLock on Nov 22, 2007 11:25 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
omg cant wait for that fight
anderson will win via tko against henderson and will be the 1st ever person to do so!
i’ve seen hendo before and he is brill but the fight against jackson dissapointed me but no doubt he will be good in the ufc but he will shine in his 3rd fight at the ufc cuz anderson is just too good!!!!
fitch will win easily
and hopefully kos will lose and be chucked out of the ufc
if all that happens at 82 it will be a great night 4 me

Fitch needs a huge fight, i say if serra is out for a while, maybe give him the winner of GSP and HUGHES, or Karo but he’s hurt. And would GSP or HUGHES have enough of a window to train for a guy like fitch.
GONO was listed earlier but now he’s takin off, so i dont know right now i believe there are two big time fighters at 170 GSP, and FITCH
Hughes is old.
Serra is good but two small to be throwing over hand rights for the rest of his career.
KOS needs to improve, alittle of everything execpt wrestling. his striking jusitsu,a nd his mental game, he gave up in the GSP fight
KARO i dont like period, there is something about his game that just isnt top contender material.
BUt look out for swick, the man is a monster at 205, a beast at 185, now at 170 LOOK OUT
I just hope he isn’t the next Vitor being unable to win the BIG ONES

You are right, Fitch should be fighting better guys. That’s why he shouldn’t have turned down his opportunity to fight Hughes.

Not a chance in hell. Bisping’s dropping out of LHW.

Until Anderson improves his wrestling game, Hendo wins the fight 7/10 times. Then again, who knows, I’m sure he HAS been working on his wrestling game..
Franklin should have no problems with Travis, as long as he keeps the fight standing. On the ground, its a pretty close match-up.
Jon Fitch is a monster, and he’s proven in over and over. But for all of those folks saying Gono is a lower caliber fighter and a step down for Fitch, you might be in for a treat. Akihiro Gono has some notable wins under his belt, as well as some memorable losses. 170 is definitely a better weight class for him, and his UFC debut jitters should be all gone. Look for a close fight, with Fitch coming out on top.
KOS by ground and pound, should be a relatively unexciting fight. Let’s hope for the best, though.
Evan Tanner back in the octagon, that’s always exciting. I have tremendous respect for the guy, and hopefully they don’t give him someone like Chris Leben to come back to.
To be honest, I’m not overly psyched about the Gurgel Halverson fight. Nonethless, Gurgel by deicision. I can’t see Gurgel pulling off a submission.

F yeah MOFOS! Dan will probably expose Spiders weak wrestling skills and either ground and pound him out or to a decision victory. I cant wait, im tired of watching the dominance by a single fighter for so long. PLUS, EVAN TANNER vs. ANYONE = awesome.

Anderson Silva is as elusive on the ground as he is standing up. Henderson will not GnP Silva for a TKO.
I think that this is a better card than the Super Bowl card. Silva vs Henderson promises to be epic, and the rest is just icing on the cake.

they’re gonna have to toss crocop back in the mix some time soon
by MDR on Dec 18, 2007 4:20 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
LMAO at the guys who say Silva cant wrestle. Did any of you watch his fight with Marquardt? That beautiful switch he set up was the turning point in the fight and allowed him to win. The only reason he gets taken down so much is because he always goes for those flying knees. Silva by sub rd 2
by RT on Dec 19, 2007 2:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Silva’s wrestling in nowhere near the level of Dan Henderson. Anderson might be able to wrestle, but Dan is the man…and he will expose his weakness.
by Hervz on Dec 21, 2007 8:59 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
UFCaddict, how were you disappointed by the Rampage-Hendo fight? I thought it was great.
The only reason I’n not sure about Dan winning this fight is that he likes to throw down. That will be a mistake against Silva. He does not want to trade with him. Thai clinch vs Greco-Roman clinch. Whoever is better in this particular area probably wins this fight.
by Mike C. on Dec 27, 2007 4:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Okami is going to KILL Tanner.
He has way to many tools for Tanner. He may not KO Tanner, but a decision win is what I’m putting my $ on.

anderson silva is more dangerous than rampage! 3rd round anderson with some crazy knock out or submission. Dan can’t knock him out, for god sakes rich franklin couldn’t hit him when anderson put his hands at his waste set his seat and used head movement. And how much reach does anderson have, and would you want to shoot in to his clinch.

the only fight worth watching is the main event……rest of card sucks!!!!!!!!!
by ORTIZ!!!!!!08....BABY! on Dec 28, 2007 10:01 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
this main event will be huge. dan has a fucking rock for a head but if anyone can ko him it’s silva. if henderson can take silva down he could dominate with superior wrestling and possibly get a stoppage or submission.
can’t wait to see evan tanner back in the octagon for this one, always an exciting fighter to watch, and very dangerous.
Fitch should get the loser of GSP/Hughes while the winner fights serra for the undisputed welterweight title.

Want to see Cheik Kongo/Heath Herring, Henderson/Silva, Okami/Tanner and Jon Fitch/Akahiro Gono. And I have a feeling all 4 fights will make the main card.
by Andrej on Jan 5, 2008 9:24 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I think Kongo deserves to fight somebody better than Herring. I would much rather see him fight AA.
by RyGuy13 on Jan 8, 2008 1:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Both are great legendary fighters but i believe that at any time standing anderson silva can end the fight. He is truly the most dangerouse fighter in the world. But i also believe that Dans greco clinch will overpower andersons mui tai plum. If u look at andersons fights with alexander otsuka and travis lutter he can be taken down and can have his gaurd passed. Franklin and Marquardt also each got anderson down. Henderson is a much better wrestler than all of them and physically stronger. I believe that Henderson will control most of this fight and should grind out a decision or finish him on the ground late. But what makes this such a great fight is like i said, at anytime Anderson can end the fight incredibly brutal.

Good point. Why does Kongo have to essentially take a step down the rankings and fight Herring? He actually ought to be the one fighting Gonzaga. AA would also be nice.

Good question, and I’m with you. We’ll have to see what comes out from the UFC. I can’t imagine AA not on the TV card, or Tanner vs. Okami for that matter! Truthfully, there should be 6 fights on the TV card.
by SeeRed on Jan 23, 2008 3:21 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Sounds like Koscheck’s fight with Hazelett is un-televised but I sure hope that either the Diego Sanchez fight or the Okami/Tanner fight is non-televised rather than the Arlovski/O’Brien fight although I have huge feeling that with the way they’ve already been treating Arlovski that he’s gonna be left high and dry again. Oh well. AA will make quick work of O’Brien in exciting fashion so it should be fit in at the end.

every single fight on this card is good and should be shown, usually only five fights per event go on my local ufc pool, but on this occasion i cant help but to put on all 10!! cant wait for this card.

This looks like a stronger card that the last couple of events. Unfortunately for the UFC they robbed me and pissed me off one time too many. I won’t be buying this one. For UFC 81 it said $44.95 when I bought it- up from $39.95 but now my bill came and the bill says $49.95. But that’s only one of the reasons why I’m pissed at the UFC. The lineups have been very thin. UFC 82 looks to make up for that. I’ll check back at UFC 83 and maybe get in then.
UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva (20-4) vs. Dan Henderson (22-6)
Awesome fight! I just can’t picture anyone beating the Spider but Henderson is fantastic and might be that guy.
265 lbs.: Cheick Kongo (11-3-1) vs. Heath Herring (27-13)
185 lbs.: Alessio Sakara (12-6) vs. Chris Leben (17-4)
185 lbs.: Evan Tanner (32-6) vs. Yushin Okami (21-4)
170 lbs.: Jon Fitch (15-2) vs. Chris Wilson (13-3)
All of these look very interesting except who the f$%k is Chris Wilson? Fitch should get winner of GSP-Serra and not be wiping his feet with these no namers.
265 lbs.: Andrei Arlovski (11-5) vs. Jake O’Brien (10-0)
170 lbs.: Luke Cummo (6-4) vs. Luigi Fioravanti (11-3)
170 lbs.: Josh Koscheck (9-2) vs. Dustin Hazelett (10-3)
170 lbs.: Diego Sanchez (17-2) vs. David Bielkheden (12-5)
155 lbs.: Jorge Gurgel (11-3) vs. John Halverson (16-5)
A lot of great talent in the undercard deserving of top billing. Not sure why they ended up downstairs. Koscheck and Sanchez are getting rebound fights. Arlovski should be fighting Noguiera next and not be treated like a little b$tch. He is one of the baddest, most feared HW’s in the UFC. Totally disrespectful BS putting him against Jake O’Brien who repeatedly took down a jittery Heath Herring but is going to get his face smashed in this time.

Herring sucked in his debut but he’s bounced back nicely since. He gave Noguiera a tough time. This will be a test of Kongo’s ground game but Herring can strike with Kongo too.
I also agree though Kongo and Arlovski would get my attention.
Gonzaga-Herring would be interesting. The two are sort of mirror images of each other in my opinion.

ufc heavyweight division is going to suk w/out AA, as it has sucked without him fighting for the last year.
I give it to Silva wihtout a doubt. He will destroy Hendo and give him his first knock out.

I thought HD was 55 now? Maybe your provider hasn’t updated the prices, therefore you shouldn’t really be complaining.
Anyways, I’ll be in Columbus for this. One of the best cards I’ve seen in awhile. Hopefully it lives up to the billing.
