Wow Rampage is Caucasian and Randy is a Zombie!

These action figures are disturbing to say the least. Since when are parents letting their children stay up past 10 PM these days to watch a little ground and pound before bed? I don’t understand the marketing demographic here. The concept of these action figures appears to be what some might label as “LAME”.

Wow, could those look less like who they’re supposed to be? I would never guess that’s Randy. Lucky Rampage has the chain and the howl to give it away.

These are likely prototypes, and will be painted when they come out,

I got Flashbacks of WWF of school.

True to life figures. Except to really make it realistic they should have made Randy’s head bigger.

Does their paint wear off in the bath-tub? I’d hate to have to go out and buy the old fashioned shoe polish that I used to have to use on my Star Trek figures when their hair would wash off…lol

These action figure dont even compare to the Pride ones. Rampage’s pride action figure has the chain, his face is sporting his signature scowl, and he is holding up a yellow card because in Pride Rampage awarded the ref a yellow card.

All the pride action figures look identical to the fighters. They got Fedor, Cro cop, Sakuraba, Yoshida, Wanderlei, Rampage, Kevin Randleman’s looks identical. They are sometimes advertised inside of fightsport, tapout, fighter, and MMA worldwide magazines. Check them out, they are so much better then the UFC’s. I hear that they are hard to get. Personally I haven’t tried. but if you like the UFC’s you have to check out the Pride ones!

If Noguerra has an impressive win against Kongo, hopefully that will get Coutture to delay his retirement at least for 1 more fight. Noguerra is the only other fighter that makes sense for Randy to fight besides Fedor. If Noguera can win impressively, hopefully that will lure Randy out of retirement to defend his title one Last time. So the fans can say good bye to him and honor him the right way.

Just announcing his retirement on a Sunday or any other regular day, is not the proper way of retiring after the magnificent career that he has had. He needs to say this will be my last fight, so the UFC can Market it right, and so that after the fight his career can be celebrated in the Octagon in front of a sold out Las Vegas crowd.

He deserves a much better send off, then just announcing it on any old day!!!!!

Hey, a bit off topic, but I’m doing my first MMA betting on Bodog and I’m not sure which payment method to use. Anyone have any tips or advice for me? Thanks.

Those suck. They need to look realistic. I’m not a big action figure, but damn those are ugly.

They will be on the store shelves just as soon as the 8 year old orphan kid on his 14th hour of work is done putting on the final touches with a fresh coat of
“special Chinese paint” :)

FIGURE4 SAYS:
Why is Randy made of stone?
And…
Why is Rampage caucasian? WTF

Actually, they will be on the store shelves just as soon as the 8 year old Chinese orphan kid who is on his 14th hour of slave labor is finished putting on the final touches with that “special Chinese paint” we have been hearing so much about. ;)

action figures aren’t just for kids anymore dude. there are a LOT of adults that collect action figures as well. i’d say at least half fo the transformer toys sold are to adults that collect them.

hell i want the rampage and couture ones myself to decorate my cubicle.

I agreeg they are amaizing but Pride figures are very expensive to me…I only found them like $150 shipped

by arturo_caap on Oct 16, 2007 12:56 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Haha, as much as these figures look a little weird I would definitely buy them. Merchandise is a positive way for UFC’s fighters to make some extra money so hopefully these will be a success…

These looks absolutely amazing. I’m an actual artist myself so I can see the detail and can tell that the final paint will simply destory the Pride dolls. Trust me, I have a few of them at my desk right.

I read somewhere that they are scheduled to release on the market for $16.99. Alot beter than the dollars for the Pride ones from Japan.

The question is…. what other ones are coming out !!!

sorry guys this has nothing to do with action figurs but theres a question I’m asking myself for months: how could Randy and Chuck battle for the light heavy belt back then? I’m talking about their first fight. As far as I know Tito has never lost the belt inside the octagon, right? Can anybody help?

madfist…tito was holding out, chuck and randy fought for the “interim” which meant nothing, except to make tito look like a puss for not fighting chuck, Randy won, then fought Tito for the real lhw title

was it a gamestop or ebgames or something? if so, don’t believe it. game release dates that you get from the publisher are horribly inaccurate, but they are far far better than the BS that a store employee will tell you. its a running gag that Babbages (parent company) throws darts at a dartboard to come up with the game release dates that they tell the customer.

These are prototype development shots. They have not been officially released. These were posted on Sherdog to get some feedback before finalizing the design.

They are only rough wax prototypes which is why they are that colour. The finals will be more polished, more detailed, and fully painted. Quinton will be sporting his signature chain, to compliment his signature howl. (not sure if the yellow card is really that “signature”)

Randy’s head was developed further to look more like him. The painted version looks very real it’s almost scary.

For the record, these are not action figures, they are “adult collectible figures with articulation” by definition of of the toy and hobby association, due to graphic nature of the sport. 13 YO not recommended for children.

tito vacated the title because him and Dana couldn’t agree on a new contract. So chuck fought Randy for the vacant title and won, and then Randy beat Tito to unify the title.

The paint process takes care of the skin, facial and head hair, eyes, gear(ie.shorts gloves), and sponsor logos.

The finished product will have 8 points of articulation, knees, waist, shoulders, wrists, and neck.

This style of sculpting is referred to as caricature, which is typified by exaggerated features and proportions. The realistic scale version is being developed for another series coming soon.

All fighters are involved in the design process and consulted for desired caricature features, likeness, and pose.

Bro, I live in China and have been for the past 2 years. I hate it when ppl make these generalized comments about something they know nothing about. Go to China and find out for yourself, it’s not as bad as what everyone makes it out to be. Granted, most ppl make about 400 Canadian a month here, but believe it or not, that’s enough to keep their stomachs full and a roof over their head. I know you’re just trying to be funny, but the truth is is that most employees don’t start working until 17 years old, the only kids I see working that are younger then this are the ones who are forced by their parents, to beg on the street corners.

Mike, don’t knock them til you try them! I bought my daughter a Joe Scarola doll, um, i mean action figure. She loves it. But she has to hold it all the time or it starts crying. I myself have a Gabe Ruediger (sp?) doll. It’s so lifelike! But it won’t fight til you make it lose weight and always falls down when i try to take it into the sauna.
