Wow, I can’t wait to see these matches for the 100th time. I like ViolentMike’s idea about a show that shows the undercard matches. Those are what we want to see.

How is this going to be any different than UFC Unleashed on Spike? Are they going to go more in-depth with the fighters themselves?

I dont think it’s just old fights like “Unleashed” on spike.
I thought there is going to be interviews, special guest appear, and Ufc news.
thats not what its about? has anyone heard exactly what the shows about??
….but a show that shows the pre-ppv’bouts.
yeah that be a good idea! You can watch them on ufc onDemand,
but i think you have to pay.

I am looking forward to this. Good thing I have a DVR though, here in Chicago in is going to be on WCIU (channel 26) Saturday nights at 12:00 AM then again at 4:00 AM.

With the amount of fights available in the archives of the UFC, why do we only see the same fights? Mike had a brilliant idea with showing the undercard fights. And while on the subject, how about showing some of the old Pride fights? (other than the same 10fights that are aired on fox every time)

by FFL on Sep 27, 2007 5:21 PM EDT reply actions

I think this is going to be like Inside the UFC where they interview fighters and provide news.

plus they took them off youtube…bastards

Y hasnt anyone reported on what Noguerra said in his latest interview. Noguerra clearly states that he will be fighting against Cheik Kongo at UFC 79 in Las Vegas on December.

I guess that puts all the Noguerra vs. Frank Mir speculation t o rest.

They should show the HIstory of the UFC on the show, all the UFC’s pre Zuffa years…..That would be an interesting show.

Glad you agree newguy. I can’t understand why they don’t do this. It would build the fan base for the sport, show the history of these fighters from Pride and why they are respected and hyped when they come to the UFC. Plus people know the fighters, they get more attached and loyal to them. It would build the brand strength for every fighter they showed… Okay, hopping of my soap box now…

What I mean by the pre zuffa years are all the fights that are rarely televised and that aren’t available on DVD in America like:

Matt Hughes vs. “Mach” Sakurai
Sakuraba’s UFC fights
some old school Genki Sudo
Chuck Liddell vs. Vitor Belfort at UFC 37.5
Chuck Liddell vs. Kevin Randleman
Some old Bas Rutten
Wanderlei vs. Tito Ortiz
BJ Penn’s early fights
Randy vs. Josh Barnett

Since these fights aren’t available on DVD in The USA, a show that would show these fights would probably produce great ratings. Now that is a great format for a successful show!

They should do that, but I have the felling they dont want to show there present champions being beat for some reson. It might take away there popularity if they get beat by some guy the fans never heard of.
Just a thought…But how would I know, there prbably just are to busy.

I’m living in China so it’s not too easy to see some of this stuff…..Would love to see some sort of show that would broadcast the undercard fights…..I know they have them on the ufc website…but you gotta pay for them….I guess thats why they won’t do it….too bad :-(
