It’s a trip how the ESPN commentator says the " ring " and not the cage. I guess their pretty much stuck in the boxing mode.

At the beginning of the interview Chuck looks lost.

I can’t believe that interviewer spent almost half the interview confirming whether or not Chuck will go out with his buddies this week. I hate mainstream media…

“So Chuck have you been staying out late drinkin?”… “No dad, well I was out late, but I wasn’t drinkin… All I had was bottled water” LOL
That was a pretty weak interview.

I hate these interviews. They neglect to bring up that these guys fight late at night. They sleep in and then stay up late and train to condition themselves to be at their peak around 10-11:00.

Yeah, that’s the first thing I thought about too was that you can’t be gettng up at the crack of dawn training everyday of your career and then come fight night at 10:30pm and it be past your bedtime. What a douche.

I hope chuck does well tomorrow night. With the LHW division being so stacked, a tough and rededicated Liddell could provide us with many dream matches we have never seen before against the likes of Shogun, Wanderlei, Henderson, Arona. I doubt he will ever hold the LHW title again, but he does hit like a freakin ox, so nobody in MMA will have a better punchers chance than him. Combine that with his counter punching style, he can still be very dangerous against a sometime overzealous opponent like say a Shogun, wanderlei, or a Henderson. Easier said then done, but if Chuck is still at the top of his game at the very least it will be entertaining to watch. However, I do expect his loss column to go up a couple digits in the near future.

Off subject but does anyone know how much GSP weighs normally, or how much does he have to lose to get to 170?

Why is it such a big deal if Chuck goes out? He’s done it his whole career and obviously it hasn’t hurt him, the guy has a great record and he’s fought the cream of the crop!
Hey MANIA or anyone ~ got any ideas on how i could watch this fight with my SHITTY AT&T cable that has no PPV capabilities as of right now? I really want to avoid watching it on my computer monitor!
This is really starting to bum me out ~ I just got this new cable and this is the first fight in a long time that I might miss ~ any info would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know about where you live, but down here they show them in sports bars or even Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, Wing Stop. Places like that show them every time.

You could always visit your local Hooters or other sports-related watering hole. You’d spend about as much on food and beer as you would ordering the fight anyway.

Sorry to break the news to Chuck, but I think the ast thing e needs is to get his assed kicked again by Rampage. feel sorry for Chuck for years he falsely believed he was the best 205 pounder in the World. He is going to go out like Shamrock-all old and getting his assed kicked by everyone.

If anything our modern day scientists & athletes are showing us how great of a product alcohol is. It’s been inside the blood of astronauts going into space and used as a drug for people who train for MMA and everything in between. What an endorsement.

Interesting question, I’ve been discussing this at length with friends. We saw him close up in person at UFC75 in London. He was a lot bigger than I expected him to be. I heard Koscheck cuts from like 190. I think he said something outrageous like 196 but that must have been months out and he must have been carrying a lot of fat. So comparing which I know you can’t really do I’d say 183-185lbs a week out. That’s a guess I don’t have anything solid to base it on. I’d imagine GSP is in pretty good shape when he’s not fighting, he’s a natural athlete.
Does anyone know for sure? It’s a question I’d like answered too.

I herd Rogan talk about that during the broadcast of a couple of GSP’s fights and he always says that GSP walks around at 185. Personally, I have not seen him in person but I have herd Rogan say 185 on a couple of different occasions.

Chuck can just walk in to the octagon and lay out his blue boxing shorts (granted he’ll be wearing something else) and Jardine will fall over. He stands no chance banging with Chucky and I can’t wait to see Tito’s bitch ass in the crowd sitting next to the duck. Cheers!

Only way for Jardine to win this fight is kick, kick, fake a kick and take Chuck down and lay and pray and steal round by round to get a decision, if he fails to do so, it won’t go pass first round, Chuck will smash Jardine’s face into a bloody pulp.

Why would you wear a shirt promoting a bunch of guys taking turns masturbating on a woman?

This interviewer sucks balls. For all of us fans, by the time the mainstream media catches a story, its already way past the point of discussion for us. Its like some sonic boom delay of information. A week ago, people were all disputing Chuck’s fitness, drinking, partying, etc. and the day before the fight we have to hear it again from these MMA or “sports” media hacks.

Gsp himself has said on numerous occations that he walks around at 185, I heard him say this in interviews when asked.
Fitch say’s he’s usually 188-190 when training
Hughes say’s he was at 192 in april before his gracie fight in may
koscheck said he was at 184 within a week of the gsp fight
just some examples of other welter weights walking around weight, gsp though in my opinion is the most solid and muscular of all the welter weights and has it in all the right places, to make him look bigger than he is.

Yeah doesnt that suck i just got the new AT&T as well and i went to order the couture fight and it was nowhere to be found. I cannot believe that they havent utilized the capabilities to be able to have pay per view. It just seems like they are losing a ton of money by not having it available.

Thanks for the input. I was curious because GSP often dwarfs his opponents as well as the fact that he is so dominant(when he has confidence). You probably noticed that GSP made KOS look really small when fighting in the octogon. I guess 15 lbs isn’t nearly as crazy as the weight some other guys drop, not neccessarily at welterweight though. Thanks again

I heard Chuck cuts about 15 pounds before a fight, in my dream i hoping cro cop can cut 15 pounds too, then he can fight LHW.. Im not shure it would help but i think it would be a better place for him…

Uh, I don’t think that’s what a “circle jerk” is… You’re think of something else.
Anyhow, I couldn’t find any of the other interviews after the jump…

I think Chuck will KO Jardine…probably 1st or 2nd.
Jardine does have a puncher’s chance, but only if he stays away, kicks alot and makes Chuck initiate and chase. They are both counterpunchers, so it may be a boring 1st round, but chances are Jardine will get impatient and then go nitey-nite.
Still, with the odds so high, I’m puttin some coin on Jardine.

He might have been afraid of a lawsuit. “The octagon” and maybe even “cage” are pretty touchy subjects.
