Jesse, good point about Big Nog & the fact that he may have seen too many wars at too early of an age. The sorta battles he’s been in can suck the life out of a fighter before their time which obviusly shortens their longevity once they reach the top.
I’ll say I’ve gotta agree with your assessment of Vera as well. I’ve got a good feeling about his HW career. The division is so stacked that starting with Tim, he has every opportunity to solidify himself in the upper echelon. The quality of competition is there, now its up to him to prove to the world that he is the “Truth”.
I do hafta say that I could hear doubt in your voice when giving your answer about Gabe vs Randy. It seemed like you really didnt speak your mind there and held back for some reason. If I had to guess, I’d say you feel that Gabe is getting too much too soon. In other words, would we really be giving Gabe as much hype had the CC fight never had happened?
I’m no clairvoyant but thought I’d test my esp mettle for kicks.

after seeing gonzaga’s fight with carmelo marrero you realize how big, strong, and technically proficient he is one the ground…. but marrero isn’t captain america, so i think a few of the major points of this fight will be, how good are gonzaga’s sweeps? how big is randy (he should weigh in at more than 220)? what kind of shape is gonzaga in (and whether he decides to pace himself or go for the finish within round 2)? and how is randy off his back?

Im telling all of you right now, what I have been saying for the past 2 months: Gabe is not Ready!!!! Not saying one day he wont be ready, but he will not win the tittle this upcomming sat.
As for GSP and Kos, I spent all day yesterday digging in my UFC DVD collection, GSP vs. great wrestler matches.
GSP vs. Trigg: He really outclassed trigg, total Domination, trigg never got the take down, GSP’s grappling was beautiful.
GSP vs. Sean Sherk: U tossed serk around like a rag doll, and completely controlled the ground game (like sherk often does) the only diiference is that GSP finishes his fights. Sherk didnt get 1 single takedown.
GSP vs. Matt hughes 1: GSP was wining, until his inexperience cause him to overcomit to a submission, that matt hughes reversed, and turned it into an arm bar.
GSP vs. Hughes 2: GSP Tottaly Dominated. enough said.
Koscheck’s game is very simular to that of all these other fighters(primarily wrestlers) that I have mentioned above.
I rarely ever c GSP being taken down, I dont think Kos will be able to take him to the floor. GSP moves in an out of strikeing zone beautifully.
GSP will give Kos hell on saturday, and win himself a title shot.
Daddy vs. Pellegrino….. who cares!
I wanna c daddy in a war. y is it that Luke cummo gave him the best fight of his mma career.
Daddy vs. cummo (piss drinker) 2 lol who really cares.!
Rather c aurelio vs. Guida anyway.
Daddy i hope u fight somebody decent, some time soon, and NO, a coked up Melvin guillard doesnt count

I am trying to listen to Jesse from the link to the website, but where it says “Click here to hear Hollands breakdown”, there is no clickable area. I want to listen, but am not able to. I did click on “UFC” under ‘Explore posts in the same category". That brought be to a page of topics, where I scrolled down and saw UFC mania and Jesse Holland mentioned again, and it brings me to the same page as before. Quick question: Who is that picture next to where it says "UFCMania’s Jesse Holland"? OMG, that isn’t you Jesse, is it??? That picture is of the absolutely stangest man I have ever seen. This is the link to the page, just scoll down a little bit, and you’ll see it. Trust me, its a can’t miss.

I think both of these guys do not want to take it to the ground with the other. Gonzaga wants that belt, and doesnt want Couture to out wrestle him, and probably believes his standup is much better after that CroCop KO, and the same goes for Randy, he knows Gonzaga is a BJJ wizard and doesnt want to get caught with a sub, and might want to stand with him. I will not be surprised if the winner wins by KO or decision.

I do believe Stevenson will win against Pellegrino. I think Joe is a very smart fighter and will not make any mistakes.

As for St Pierre/Koscheck fight, I agree 100% that Pierre will win this one hands down. Koscheck is too timid, and Pierre is going to come straight after him and put him in the crossheirs.

Heath shouold beat Babalu( Babalu has lost last two fights against good strikers). Roger Huerta should pull out a victory. I really like Roger Huerta, and I would like for him to continue his winning ways, except Im just not so sure I see him beating a Stevenson, Sherk, or Penn. Im very curious at who they will throw at him next. As for the Grove/Cote fight, theres just something I like about Grove, hes an excellent fighter and will continue to get better. I see improvement in each of his fights. He wins by sub.

I really love Kendall Grove as a Fighter. But he has a lot of work to do for me to like him as a human being.

Awww, man. There is no Audio Bar of any sort, never mind a play button when I click the link. Mine appears to be a single line text box with scroll arrows to the right. Very Strange. I really hate my computer at work. Its fast and all, but I guess they got some wierd ass restrictions…

Honestly Jesse, what the hell is a picture of that monstrosity doing next to your name? I would sue that radio station for character defamation.
