HEY FINEYFIGHTER.. here is a recap for ya.

He talks about his training and getting ready for this fight. He expains how there is no difference in training now compared to his last fight. He states that Alen Belcher & Patrick Cote have very similiar styles.. They both are stand up fighters with stand up power and decent Ju Jitsu.

He says he thinks he is better then alan on the ground.. hes b(kendall) been training and doing ju jitsu for 5 years now.

His says alan strengths are his stand up Hes a good boxer / heavy handed and kendal knows if he messes around hes gonna get KTFO .

Then he talks about his tatoos. He says he gets a tatoo before every fight. alot of his tats have good meaning to them. and thats about it.

Kendal is a cool dude. I didn’t know he was named Godfather to Joe Stevenson’s kid. I’m into tatoos and his are unique. Kendal has already trained with some of the best and he’ll only continue to get better. Between training at Team Punishment before and at Xtreme Couture now…it’ll be a long night for Pat.
Just as a sidenote…why don’t I see Patrick Cote’s training videos. He is training isn’t he? I’d sure hope so!

I don’t c cote beating Kendall Grove. The kid has too much heart, a strong work ethic, and always seems to improve, while cote seems to regress.

If Cote wins however, look for him to fight Marvin Eastman or the winner/loser of Okami vs McDonald. Remember that the UFC MW division is still limited for now. i think cote has a good punchers chance in this fight. cote fought at lhw and gave tito a good run for his money at that weight, so i think he’s a pretty big mw and kendall is kinda small. did anyone see the hector ramirez vs grove fight. hector starched grove with a one punch ko. i know kendall is a much better fighter since then, but i think he might have some problems against the bigger cote.

did anyone see the hector ramirez vs grove fight. hector starched grove with a one punch ko. i know kendall is a much better fighter since then, but i think he might have some problems against the bigger cote.

I just watched that fight on daily motion, where I also noticed they had the Kendall vs Riggs and vs Savant Young. I just spent 5 minutes and saw every one of Kendall’s losses. It was quite fun and entertaining. I advise all of you to do the same. I just thoroughly enjoy seeing Kendall get his head knocked off.

It’s wierd, I usually root for the pot head in the fight, but Kendall just rubs me the wrong way EVERY time he opens his mouth.

Kendall Grove is a very promising young fighter. He is skilled in submissions, he has crisp muy tai, and he will have a reach advantage over any opponent that he will ever face. His biggest weapon is a skill that cant be taught, HEART!

If I had to compare him to a top fighter, I would compare him to Anderson Silva. In no way am I saying that he could compete wit anderson silva at this point in his career. But he has a simular fighting style. He has Anderson silva’s long limbs(only longer), good muy tai, good submissions, and a huge heart and an indominable warrior spirit.

It worries me how immature he is. He needs a strong inner circle to help him mature. His manager should be prepping him for interviews, managing his image as long wit the financial aspect of his career. Hopefully Randy Couture rubs off of him, because he does have the potential to one day be a champion.

The only man who can stop Kendall from having a great MMA career is himself!

well written John. The only skills that Kendall is lacking is maturity, wrestling, and a chin. I don’t recall ever seeing him get caught with a single crisp shot since the UFC. Hector Ramirez and Joe Riggs were both able to KO Kendall very quickly in thier fights. Kendall has all the tools necessary to be a dominant champ in the UFC. A 6’6" MW fighter doesn’t step into the octagon every day, that’s for sure. He will always have the reach advantage while standing, and he has good BJJ skills to boot. I think he could really use some work on his wrestling skills though. That way he will be able to dictate where his fights take place.

LOL, after seeing all these Kendall Grove video interview, I didn’t think I’d ever hear “Kendall Grove” and “class” used in the same sentence!

I like the hawiai flag tatoo as it shows the greatest flag in the world the Union Jack,its good to see they show us respect every time they fly the flag,same with the aussies.

the nail polish acts as reinforcement and helps prevent chips/breaks during training. common practice among fighters.

Grove just gives the “haters” so much reason and ammunition to dislike him. He gets a tattoo before/after every fight? One being one of his sponsors inside his mouth? What a fucking moron. That’d be like me getting my employer tattooed on me because that’s who pays me. Did he ever even stop to think for a second, “hmm what if cote knocks my head off?” before getting his UFC 74 tattoo.

He thinks these tattoos make him more of a man or fighter when the reality is he’s unproven, and not even at gatekeeper status yet. In fact his CAREER DEFINING MOMENT was beating fucking Alan Belcher lol.

Before you make your comparisons to Anderson, or say Grove could be a future champ, maybe you should slam your head on your desk to try and jump-start your brain again. WHAT has he done in his entire career? Also, I think Herman would kill him in a rematch, so I say let’s see that next.
