Not much about Patrick Cote in there. Theres alot more of him saying words incorrectly and pretty much just showing the world that he is a dumb ass. Nice Job Kendall!

“We got what we wanted.”

He keeps saying that. What the hell is he talking about, drugs, hookers? Whatever it was, it didn’t sound legal.

Not much about Patrick Cote in there.

Agreed, I think the next video will show him training at XTreme Couture and more footage of him actually working out.

Probably pot. But yeah I’m from Edmonton originally, it wouldn’t surprise me if they would have shot him, the way he talks about it.

He was probably all “Oh god please… I have so many dreams, please don’t kill me.. I’ll do anything..” And he will come out to his next fight in an Edmonton Oilers jersey.

There are no guns in Canada. Don’t you watch Michael Moore movies? :P

Seriously though, it’s gonna be one hell of a fight against Cote. The dude is tough as nails. Wouldn’t want to bet on this one.

What the hell is he saying, “I only train at 185-205, there’s no sense in lifting heavier”. That stupid ass comment. God forbid I press 225-250 easily so I can toss my opponent.

HA. No way is Kendall ready for that calliber yet. He would get KO’d first round if he faced either of those two.

Dana White must be shaking his head.

What a punk this guy is. He is one wrong decision away from losing his life. You can cuss all you want but when you start talking about street fights with guns and bats you reveal that you are just a punk kid. Also, the weight lifting logic just shows that this guy is just a meat head.

He needs to grow up and change the crowd he hangs with.

BTW – Okami or Rick Franklin would demolish this guy.

Wow. Why the hell did I watch that.

And yeah, I hope Cote kicks his ass.

by BHicks on Jul 31, 2007 11:15 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I could see that do down in Edmonton…..what did he go there for is my question.
You don’t need to go to Edmonton to buy Pot.

In his defense, if he focuses on repping 205 instead of doing less reps of higher wait, his muscle endurance will go up instead of pure strength. That is assuming of course that he is doing more reps of 205. Still doesnt make much sense considering that the longest he will fight is 25 minutes. Just a possible idea of what he is thinking.

If he is still improving as fast as they were claiming that he was, who knows, he might come out and be johnny badass. Is he still training with Team Punishment?

..Should he just face TUF guys..the middle weight division is currently weak of talent..who should he fight next Franklin and Okami would be a step up and a test for him..if I was in his postion those are the guys I want to fight next, he won the TUF show, its coming up to a year later, what’s next??..if he doesn’t step up in the talent in his next few fights ..that’s the case he should be in the next a local Tournament near you…not in the UFC.

PS..Let him get his ass kicked.

he’s becoming a very good fighter and i like the guy, but he is definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer, he talks like a 17 yr. old gang banger and says the dumbest shit, he needs a public relations girl to tell him what to say and not to say and how to say it so he doesn’t sound like an idiot, i’m sure dana white is really happy to hear his story about buying drugs in canada and getting a gun pulled on him, that’ll make your boss happy, but you gotta like the guy inside the octagon, he puts it on the line and fights with a lot of heart, i think he’s gonna submit cote, leban and tito went the distance because they aren’t submission fighters, we saw how easily lutter handled cote with a sub, i say some kind of choke by the end of round 2…

he says he’s still part of team punishment, but its hard for him to train with tito in big bear all the time because he lives in vegas, so he’s been training with extreme couture in vegas for a while now, he said he trained for his last fight with extreme couture…

Everything you said is true. But Kendall would still get DESTROYED by either of those two. Kendall is just not ready for it. I mean the best of luck to him. But there is no way he is ready for that high calliber yet. I think over time he could get better and get a title shot. But Lets just say he somehow sneaks a decision over rich or okami. Then what…. Anderson Silva vs Kendall Grove? lol. Come on.

Yo..Anderson vs Kendall..Da Spider vs Da spyder..that’s like bringing a Knife to a gun fight..Kendall is a butter knife and silva a desert eagle 50caliber. lol.

Wow. I really wish I hadn’t watched that. What an eye-opener of who Kendall Grove is. How old is this guy? What a disappointment! Honestly, until I see something different, I really don’t feel moved to root for him at all. I hope he grows up soon.

kendall is still new in the ufc, he’s not ready for the top guys in 185 yet(rich, silva, okami, etc…), what he’s doing now is exactly what he needs to be doing, he’s building confidence as a fighter and slowly climbing the ladder and making a name for himself, i’d say when he beats cote he should get in there with jason mcdonald, that would be a step up in competition for him and someone who has fought one of the top guys in the division(rich), after that fight he would know where he stands, and then could keep moving up and maybe fight a travis lutter or a martin kampmann or someone like that, but he cant just go straight to fightig rich or okami, he’s just not ready for that yet…

Spida… I like your plan for Kendall’s career…. He definetly isnt ready for Okami and Franklin… throw him out there versus Mcdonald….. than Lutter…. Good career management. Maybe you can teach Dana white a thing or two about managing fighters carrer in ways that actually make sence.

I was a big fan of Kendall’s, but what the hell is up with that interview… He said one dumb thing after another.. Dana has got to be pissed with fighters opening up their mouths and saying retarded things that are hurting the expansion of MMA into mainstream America.

Kendall good career move. Leaving tito to go train with Randy was very smart.. Randy has actually evolved into a well rounded martial artists, unlike tito, who after 10 years of fighting still cant throw a punch. Stay with couture!!!!!

I know he’s young but he gots to get out of that mentality. I like the guy Ive met him personally and he’s very cool down to earth, but it sounds like once alittle miscommunication happens on the street….it’s drama. He has a successful carreer ahead of him and he needs to protect that with everything

I agree… There is no place for that kind of mentality in MMA, and any other sport for that matter. Its obvious he needs to grow up. Hopefully getting away from tito and being around randy will teach him a thing or two about having CLASS and acting Professional.

This kid has a HUGE HEART… and everytime i seen him fight.. he fought like a warrior! Get your Shit together kendall… Do u wanna be champ? or do u wanna be chris leben?

wow, an eye opener indeed. now i’m rooting for Cote. Grove talks like everyone i hate.

he could have been buying pot, or maybe coke, which only stays in your system for 5 days tops. not that he had to worry about being tested anytime soon, but still. i’m actually shocked that Grove was stupid enough to talk about a drug deal on camera. i know he never mentioned it directly, but anyone who’s ever bought drugs would recognize that that’s exactly what he was talking about. not too bright, IMO.

also, i know it was a joke and everything, but Michael Moore’s movie mentioned that Canadians have just as many guns as Americans—not that Canadians don’t have guns.

Mania, normally there is a source link for the videos. I can’t watch the quick time plug in videos at work, and I always click the source link to watch them, but there isn’t one provided for this video. I really do want to here what he says, especially about this “drug deal” and that he left Tito to train with Randy. Randy is such a class act, that he shouldn’t even accept fighters that had anything to do with Tito or Team Punishment.

I wasn’t a fan of Kendall and his black homie friend, Soloman Hutchinson, I believe. Then Kendall joins Team Punishment. Ok, now I don’t like the kid. Then after he beats Chris Price, he goes on to do the whole Tito Ortiz grave digging routine. Ever since I saw that, I HATE Kendall, even more than I hate Tito. At least Tito is original, and Kendall was just trying to hand from Tito’s nuts for as long as possible and hope that no one notices he’s trying to steal Tito’s gimick. What a punk. He was probalby a 10-1 favorite to win the fight anyway…. Hopefully for Kendall’s sake Randy can put some sense into this kid, because he truely has ALOT of potential with his tall frame and that weak ass MW division.

Thanks Mania.

And to continue off from my previous post:
after watching this video, I hate Kendall even more than ever. I don’t know why he has to act so immature, and then brag about it to the media. That is as stupid as it gets. I can’t wait until he has to fight someone half way decent and they just beat the snot out of him.
