UFC 75: Thiago Silva vs. Tomasz Drwal
Brazilian Chute Boxe fighter Thiago Silva (10-0) will return to the Octagon against Tomasz Drwal (13-1) of Poland in a UFC 75 light heavyweight clash, according to multiple international reports (here and here).
This will mark the second bout inside the Octagon for the undefeated Silva after his win over James Irvin at UFC 71 in May. Irvin, however, suffered a fight-ending knee injury during the first round -- not the sort of debut Silva and the fans had in mind.
Hard-hitting Drwal has been busy throughout Europe, compiling an impressive collection of stoppages -- he seems to stop most of his opponents via T(KO). However, he does have a decent amount of submission wins to his credit.
On paper it looks to be a solid match up that will more than likely end early for someone.
Not much seems to be known about either of these fighters here in the states. Therefore, check out the highlights below for a little taste of what to expect on September 8 at the 02 Arena in London, England.

Drawl looks really good. Silva’s stand up looked silly. Drawl will probably win by KO. He has brutal ground and pound and really looks for the kill.

Drwal does look pretty good. He looks like he is a dominant striker. I agree with Griffin, he will win by a KO in either the first or second round. The music was pretty good, it reminded me of a mixture of Rammstein(sp?) and In Flames’s more recent additions.

Obviously, they both looked good because these were highlight videos. I agree that Drwal looked better, or at least more aggressive. Then again, it depends on what their competition was. I have a hard time betting against a Chute-Box fighter. That is arguably the best camp in the world.

Mania, none of the videos on this site ever play on my PC. I just get the Quicktime logo with a tear in it. I few weeks ago there was a Wanderlei Silva video, and thats the only one that ever played.
Usually you include a link to where the video was found. I always click the link to watch the videos, but neither of these videos have the link included.

I just downloaded a version of quicktime for windows 2000. Beause the new quicktime 7.1. whatever is only for XP and Vista and my work uses 2000.
Well, now I see a light blue “Q” with a question mark on top of it. I don’t know what that means…

Drwal looked better, but what level of competition is he facing?

I’ve never heard of Drwal, but I like him so far. His stand-up reminds me a lot of Fedor.

Drawl did look very aggressive, very dangerous striker. Silva looked very good as well, a little more controled. This looks like it could be an exciting fight if they fight like they did in the highlights.

Tomek is one of the best polish fighters. Don’t forget about PaweÅ‚ Nastula in PRIDE. But the fight in UFC – Cage will be the great event for MMA in Poland!!

Nice to see your a Rammstein fan too UFCMania!
I must stay that is some pretty sweet music to go along with that awesome clip! That guy looks very agressive and by both fo the clips this looks like the could be another great LW matchup… is it just me or does that division seem to always have pretty good fights. I just hope the UFC does the right thing and puts my two boys at LW Stevenson and Florian against each other. Im not sure if I could pick between the two of who I would want to win but right now I would have to say Floiran cuz I love guys who want to go for the kill and the survival of the nasty kneebar still amazes me!

Was that Rammstein? I couldn’t decide if that was them or not. Also, these fighters are in the LHW division not the LW.
Those asking about their competition you should check out their stats on Sherdog.com’s fight finder.
