The Natural vs. Big Nog! That would be a dream match up! I have to go with The Natural. Randy is too good and would have Big Nog scouted perfectly. It’s a tough fight, but Randy would take it.

This would be a good one. Tough to pick a winner, Randy is a great, smart fighter who seems like it would hard to get him in a submission, but Nog is also a great fighter and that fight against Bob Sapp alone shows how tough he is, to get thrown around like that and still win by sub. I’d love to see it.

It would be a good fight for Randy. Nog is a beast but not necessarily the best striker. It would be a war for sure. Randy is as good as anyone Nog has faced so it’s really a toss up right now to me.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is such a far superior fighter in regards to Heath “bitch tits / Fatty McFat” Herring. The guy has no ground game an will serve as a nice tune up fight for his UFC debut. I full believe that after Big Nog defeats Heath, he will face Andre Arvlovski in a number 1 contender match up.

Maybe not enough credit is given to Randy Couture as a fighter. He is very intelligent and still preforms at a high level. For those who are ready to count his days as champion as over will be sorely mistaken as surprised by his next 2-3 fights.

Minotauro would DESTROY Randy… just as good of a ground game, prolly better standup.

He’s also defeated (albeit controversially) Ricco Rodriguez and Josh Barnett, the same men who stopped Couture via TKO.

Couture’s submission acumen is highly underrated and he actually stands a good chance of defeating Gonzaga. But what Gonzaga lacks in experience, Nogueira has more than enough. He doesn’t do it easily, but I cannot see how Nogueira losses to Couture.

Ya he actually said that. I actually do think he is better than the current Pride announcers, with Mauro and Bas gone. Trigg just plain sux, as well as the other clown they have there.

I wish the ufc had Mir or Bas in his place, but oh well.

I think it would be a good fight..I think it will be hard to for Nog to submit Randy, Randy is the stronger of the two…I would give Randy the advantage, it will be harder for Nog to submit someone when he is pressed up against the cage…Which will happen

U r so wrong my friend Couture is not in his prima age anymore he is actually a grampa now.. so there is no way his body can take so many punishment. He perfected his gameplan when he fought tim sylvia. i doubt he will defend his title against Gonzaga!!!

While I am wary of betting against Couture, I think you are definitely right on this one. Nog has an incredible chin and his submissions are scary-good. The only thing that worries me is that Couture was at the fight that Nog lost to Fedor. Perhaps he saw a weakness there. Still gotta go with Nog.

There could be some of this hero worship- like the first time GSP fought Hughes- that could trip him up. Gonzaga needs to forget he is fighting the natural and just go beat the crap out of him.

Noguiera doesn’t have a bodybuilder physique but he seems to be able to control guys pretty well. I think he’s a lot stronger than he looks. Against Crocop he was holding his arms and Crocop couldn’t get them free. It should be an excellent fight if it happens.

UFC should get Mauro. Mauro could commentate play by play. Goldberg could produce his genious one liners and Rogan could do his usual colour commentary thing.

Big Nog is the perfect fight to take RC out. He seems bigger and stronger and has so much talent. On the other hand RC is the baddest man on the planet, not to mention the smartest fighter in MMA. I think RC would defeat Big Nog…only reason being….I think he would continue to take Big Nog down, but a stalemate from there…the ref would be standing them up every few mins…but Randy could take down anything and anybody if he puts his mind to it.I’ll never doubt him again!

This would be a good one, Randy is quite the grappler and while he was away on “Retirment” competed in many Grappling tournaments so is probably a little better tuned even now. It would be a tough one for Randy to finish, however Nog has sub finishs up the wazoo.
