I actually think Koscheck will take this one. If he can get him down and be agressive.

Koshcheck – GSP should be awesome. I don’t have a preference on that one even though GSP is the more likeable personality. Koshcheck might be an arrogant a$$ but he’s certainly come a long way since TUF 1.

I wonder if I can find a Koshchek blonde afro on ebay?

I can’t call a winner on this yet…maybe in a few more dayz. I have to see a little of the build-up; the sh*t talking, training, interveiws, etc…

Haha…I remember when he was scared to get hit by Leben!

Well I would have said if it went standing up GSP would have killed him. But since the last fight he had i’m not so sure. If GSP can get hs act together and get back to his old self he might be OK. I think Koscheck will play it safe like the diego fight andjust try to take him down. He just needs to watch of for triangle chokes and arm bars. Easier said then done.

I just got the feeling GSP is going to give Koscheck the beating of his career, I guess we’ll soon find out.

I think Serra was spot on when he said he feels sorry for Georges next opponent, no f**king around this time, I think we’ll see the most angry, aggressive GSP to date, koscheck watch out.

74 is looking better than 73 if you ask me…diego/sakurai is going to be sick, i’m gonna have to take diego, he’s my boy and i can’t see him losing if he’s 100 percent even though sakurai is a serious dude…gsp/koscheck has a lot on the line and who knows whats gonna happen in that fight, i’m looking for gsp to come out with an aggressive approach and kill koscheck’s boring style and i’m looking for koscheck to come out and try to get gsp on the mat, if gsp can stuff the takedowns, which i’m sure he can, then i think koscheck is gonna get hit hard early and often and he might not make the final bell, should be a good ass fight…the main event is gonna be awesome too, both guys are tough match ups for each other, i still am undecided on that fight, i wanted to go with gonzaga at first, but i just don’t know…i hope tim sylvia gets a decent opponent and i hope kendall destroys cote…

plus joe stevenson against a pretty decent kurt pellegrino, damn i like 74, i like it a lot…

long lay off between 73 on july 7th and 74 on august 25th though, we’ll all be starving for some fights by then, they should give us a fight night in there somewhere…

The talent pool in UFC is so deep now that I think they can do a weekly show where they can hype the upcoming PPV, maybe show a past UFC match, and then have a match at the end of the show. They don’t even have to book a venue, they can do it in the TUF gym. It will be unreasonable to expect main-eventers, but it will be a nice way to showcase mid to lower card talent.

You guys are crazy if u think Koschek has a chance in this one. Koschek doesnt hit hard enough to get a lucky punch knock out like serra and he is an amazing wrestler but hes not gonna be able to take down GSP. GSP made Hughes, Sherk, and Trigg, three great wrestlers look like they were amateurs that had no business being in the UFC and I suspect he will do the same to Koshchek.

I have to start off by saying this … Why in the hell is Joe Stevenson (a top five fighter in the 155lb. class) fighting Kurt Pellegrino. That guy immediately fell out of the top ten in my view when we got a new crop of talent in Gray Maynard, Joe Lauzon, and Nate Diaz. The guy with the gay pink hair beat Nate Mohr which is his only UFC win worthy of note. He also lost to Drew Fickett.

I understand that most of the big dawgs already fough recently in Fischer, Florian, Stout and Huerta.

I also realize that he cannot fight Franca or Shrek as they are fighting in a few weeks. But come on UFC, there has to be somebody else, Stevenson is gonna roll on this pink haired queer bag.

I much rather would have liked to seen Joe take on Yves Edwards in a rematch from UFC 61 (was he not available) or even Joe Stevenson take on that kid Jeremy Stephens who lost to Din Thomas at UFC 71. By the way I watched that fight 3 times after the pay oer view and the kid never tapped against Din Thomas. In fact at the very opening of the second round, he was dominating and may have won who knows. Either way the kid looked exciting.

I know the pickings were slim but for a guy like Joe Stevenson who is so highly ranked to fight this guy blows walrus c0ck.

I am very excited for the GSP vs Kos fight. I see GSP not pushing tha pace to much and trying to feel out Kos in the first round (anticipating that it will go to a decision which is a high probability). I see Kos coming out hard and fast, and on the basis that he is the best wrestler in the UFC, I can see him taking GSP down after 2 shoot ins. Either way I smell an exciting fight.

As for all of the Randy Couture non believers who are still out there, this one is a wrap I go $3,000 on the Natural.

i like jeremy stephens too, that kids got some skills and you got to like a nickname like lil heathen…i’d like to see him and huerta fight, those two would bang it out…the ufc will probably give him a fight or two against some scrubs to pad his record in the octagon a bit though before he fights anyone like stevenson or huerta…

Whats with everyone giving Koscheck so much of a chance? Its foolish to base so much on there last fights, almost everyone thought diego would squash Koscheck now its 50/50 with his fight with Gsp? Doesn’t make sense. I guess being an explosive wrestler is all you need to win in mma right? Don’t think so. F**k Gsp’s last fight, Serra won the jackpot, his chance for a TKO in the first in my book was under 5% and he got it, lucky. Gsp is still by far the best, well rounded welter weight in the world hands down.

by nathan on Jun 27, 2007 11:34 AM EDT reply actions

Kos takes people down but he still doens’t know what to do with them. He hasn’t fought anybody top notch. His last fight with Diego….I don’t know what that was or where Diego was. Kos wasn’t even fighting his game.

GSP will kill this fool and Kos knows he has it coming.

by LUKE on Jun 27, 2007 2:39 PM EDT reply actions

GSP is going to come out from his corner in round 1 like he has never done before. If you thought his intesity level was high before, I think GSP will be redefining intensity. I would be surprised if Kos can last past the first round. That cocky bastard can use a beatdown.

Also, I am looking even more forward to the Diego/Sakurai match. The recently undefeated is going to have 2 straight losses on his record. Sakurai’s stand up is a lot better than Kos’s and Kos dominated Diego on his feet. Diego has the Matt Hammill desease when it comes to stand up. He hears just fine, he just doesn’t have much skill when it comes to his stand up game. He had the one lucky punch knockout which was the worst thing for him, because all of a sudden he thought that he was a knockout artist and actually started believing in his standup.

Guess Im the only one that hopes Shrek is back in action for this fight?
Looks to be a good lineup! Hope I can get around to watching it. Anyone gonna order it in the Vero Beach FL area? =D

Actually ortiz, I was referring to Kurt Pellegrino whom Joe Stevenson will be fighting which I think is pointless and does nothing for Joe Daddy who will walk through him.
