What is the story behind the confrontation that gracie was in? I looked up his fight history and the dates and opponents didn’t seem to line up with what I saw. Any help?

Which Gracie? If you mean Royce it was the infamous Gracie/Yoshida match that was a weird Judo vs. BJJ match.
Yoshida had him in a choke and was able to convince the ref that Gracie was out so the fight was stopped but Royce wasn’t out so the whole thing got bogged down in controversy.
The rematch at Shockwave did nothing but make things more confusing.

Because of the modified rules of the match a lot of sites won’t list Gracie/Yoshida 1 in their MMA database.

Thanks. The first fight wasn’t on the database that I was looking at. What was the deal with the Shockwave fight? It looked like it was a tko for royce, but the record I saw had it a draw. These fights took place just before I started getting into mma, so I’m not familar with the details.

I never saw that ring thing between Rampage and Silva. Silva really beat the crap out of him both times.
They should show Coleman-Shogun after the accident when all hell broke loose in the ring. Silva was involved in that mess too.
