beating a champion does not make you a champion just a belt holder .jackson will not hold belt very long and will never be a great champion because he has very little class, muuch like ortiz. sure they are good fighters ,and very tough ,but because of attitudes ,disrespect for the sport ,and others including the fans they will soon be forgotten. it is beginning to look like like prowrestling lots of hype and classless people .i hope the ufc does not become the wwf, but in my opinion when guys like cotoure ,,hughes and iceman are gone alot of the younger guys have very little respect for others and the ufc is going to be a joke

Dude, Mr. Belding is awesome. How dare you say that.
Anyway, that Remeau guy would be an awesome asset, but where does that leave Pride. If they keep taking all of Pride’s best, what is Pride going to be when they are done?

Who was Liddell cornering in that fight? Or was he just watching? Right when the guy gets pulled off, and starts his victory run around the ring, Chuck jumps on the fence and barely comes into camera range, red shirt, mohawk and I can spot that tatoo anywhere.

He really looked bad in that bout. Yeah, Belcher was a replacement, but Belcher and The Flying Tomato arent THAT different fighters for anyone to use that as an excuse. Not picking on ol’ Junkyard’s boy, but he just doesnt belong at this level yet. Maybe never. The day of the wrestler is coming to an end. If you dont have hands, sprawl, clinch grappling, dirty boxing, and basic BJJ defense, it’s over for you. Just like Rogan or Goldie said, shooting in with your head to the side in MMA is amatuerish. You shoot with your head straight so you DONT get caught in the most basic of moves, the guillotine.
Maybe Sean looked at it as a win, at least this time he didnt end up in intensive care.~\~

Rampage has been a top fighter in this sport for over 7 years.
You’re acting like he just burst upon the scene this year.
You need to wake up an learn there is an MMA world outside of the UFC.
Regardless of whether you like him or not he just obliterated the best that the UFC has to offer.
Seriously though..I’d like for you to share with me who in the UFC at 205 can beat him?

I’m actually on both sides of this arguement. Rampage definitely has Chuck’s number thats for sure, but other than Chuck, Arona, and Randleman, what quality fighters has he beaten. While he was in Pride he was dominated by the guys from Chute Box. He lost to Wandy twice and was obliterated by Shogun Rua… Who I might add is now part of the UFC. So theres one guy that I know can beat Rampage. Also, I think Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping, and Jason Lambert are all capable of beating Him too, and as much as I hate to admit it… because I hate him… I think Tito Ortiz would smoke Rampage. Well, It’s all just talk at this point. We’ll have to wait until he defends his title.
Don’t get me wrong. I think Rampage is a hell of a fighter, but he is very beatable. I hope the winner of Evans v. Ortiz gets a crack at him. I think both fighters are capable of taking the 205 lb. strap, then maybe we can see Liddell v. Jackson III.

Man why is everyone dissin on Rampage. Did he or did he not just knock out the longest reigning UFC 205 champ, for the second time? Like someone else said earlier, and I said in anther thread, the world of MMA does not solely consist of the UFC. It doesn’t look like it will be long before former PRIDE fighters have just about every belt, and are the top contenders as well.

It’s chill man, most of the educated fans here are not doing anything but commending Rampage. However your Pride vs. UFC thing, must everyone bring that up? How come every time a Pride guy beats a UFC guy they chant and rave about it, while when the reverse happens, it seems to go unnoticed?
I don’t here you reminding everyone about CC, or Nick Diaz defeated Pride’s champ. Not to mention Jeff Monson’s recent success against a legit Pride contendar.
UFC just owned and virtually destroyed Pride, don’t think there is much more use in arguing.

I don’t think any of that is true.
You don’t think its true… then just check the facts. While the fighters I named that I think could beat Rampage are just opinions, the fact that he lost twice to Wanderlei and was destroyed by Shogun is pure fact. Additionally the fact that he has beaten very few true contenders is also fact. The list is Liddell, Arona, and Randleman. Granted these are all great fighters to have beaten, but the rest of Rampage’s wins are against “B” list fighters. So I just don’t see how none of what I said is true.

Nick Diaz is one of my favorite fighters, if not my absolute favorite. I loved watching his Gomi fight on PPV. I actually am MUCH MUCH MORE of a UFC fan than I am of a PRIDE fan. I have gotten every UFC PPV, but I have only gotten 3 or 4 PRIDE PPV’s. But I watched a lot of PRIDE on youtube and dailymotion.
What I was getting at is I think Fedor could easily take the HW belt. Rampage has the LHW belt. Anderson Silva has MW belt (he is also from PRIDE, but Dan Henderson SHOULD be starting out in his natural division of 185 where he would take this belt in my opinion). As far as the WW division goes, I think the UFC has the better fighters. For LW, I think that Hayato Sakurai can come over and possibly win it. I’m not a big Gomi fan.
But what most concerns me with all this news as of late is that Dan Henderson is coming in at LHW. When he fought Wandi he weighed in at 198lbs, and that’s cuz they made him put some weight on. Right now the 205lb division in the UFC is stacked. The weakest division by far is the Middleweight. The top contender match is Franklin vs Okami. I mean who really wants to see Okami fight? After that, who is there in this division? No one worthy of a title shot, and please don’t say Kendall Grove…..
