Forrest is so wrong for that, u dont need to kick someone in the leg if u know that he is not an MMA fighter. Thst is not how u treat a fan, sorry forrest i kinda dislike you now.

Forrest is a piece of trash, I am sure he thought it would be funny but fracturing a guys leg is just low-class. Disgusting!!!!

haha, the dude was laughing the whole time…im sure whoever did the interview wanted to get it on camera, its not like he has to kick someone anytime they give an interview….im guessing the guys probably didnt reallly check into the hospital, even if he did, its a hairline fracture, which is nothing
by MMA Dude on May 23, 2007 9:32 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Fak..That was great..Hey you guys, this guy came into the kick wanting it!..He’s a submissive who likes to acquire hairline fractures from M.M.A. fighters..He shouldn’t have stepped into the cage if he didn’t want a little kick.
I ain’t mad Forrest, kinda mad you didn’t give this dude a Compound Fracture..Damn Forrest…lol…lol!
Salute

I don’t think the guy realized Forrest would actually kick him hard. He certainly didn’t look prepared for that. Plus the guy looks like he’s about half of Forrest’s weight…definitely not a “tough” guy by his appearance.
Forrest probably thinks it’s hilarious to punch girls in the face.

How is he an ass for doing something that the other guy wanted? Forrest didnt even do it full speed or strength. Hit him just right.
So is Liddell an ass for about breaking the radio talk show host’s arm on the T.V. show “Inked” on A&E? The announcer said give it to me good and Liddell threw a haymaker to his upper shoulder and put him immediately on the ground. He didnt fall down, he flew down to the ground.

In Liddell’s case, the guys asked to be hit. Here, Forrest said he would only answer the guy’s question if he got to kick him….

You can hear Forrest say “I’m not going to kick him hard.” Then he kicks him, not a full kick, but enough to make most people cry themselves to sleep. In the words of Mike Goldberg “So, You wanna be an Ultimate Fighter?” Uh, no thanks! But man, it is entertaining to watch.
Also, the video comments say that Forrest would only do the interview if he got to kick the interviewer. I have a feeling that Forrest said it tongue in cheek but then the guy agreed to it, so what the hell! Let’s kick a member of the press!

You see stuff like this all over the internet. Ive seen Couture choke a chick out on a radio show, Joe Rogan choke a dude out on a radio show, Chuck punching a radio host, Kos beating the shit outta some fan, etc. Come on, its not a big deal. Hair fracture of the femur? Sounds a little blown outta the water. Shouldnt have stepped into the octagon.

Ummm, I think those of you who think the “hairline fracture” bit is true need to chill. Seems like this Newby guy had a “Jackass” moment. The guy could have said “No!” to getting kicked if Forrest actually said he wanted to kick him. And, this is staged TV, where NOTHING is ever as it seems. I thought it was funny. Looked kind of painful, though.

And? It isnt like Forrest chased him, called him a pussy, or said if you dont let me kick you I wont say a word for the interview. Newbie jumper right in the cage and laughed going out the door.
This is not a big deal.
by muto on May 23, 2007 11:19 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
First off, the Liddell “incident” that happened on Inked. The “radio host” was actually Jason Ellis who is a pro skateboarder and also appeared on the show “Viva la Bam” and stars in Spike TV’s show “The Wild World of Spike”. If anyone has seen him on any of these shows then you will see him getting punched is no big deal.
And as far as the Forrest thing, its a PR stunt nothing more. Forrest didnt go in there to hurt him and believe me if Forrest “requested” to kick that guy in exchange to be interviewed. Then the guy would have said no, because that is a bigger story then the interview itself.

Does that guy look like he shold be letting a professional fighter agree to kick him in the leg? “Which is the way he wants it, well, he gets it.” ( GnR Civil War )

hahah true crawford…every radio station or tv show has that one guy who they send to do stupid shit, and it gets them ratings…im sure “Newbie” is hurt bad, and the writing in between the shot is for humor sake..its not saying “Look at what this a hole forrest griffin did to our poor camera man with downs syndrome”….any ways, now what did we learn about checking leg kicks

where I live if you kick a spastic even if they drool on your food or take a dump in the back seat of your car it is considered wrong,I mean look at that guy I doubt he even qualified for special ed,Forrest is a total bully and I think he should die by lethal injection,or infact even better he can die by ground and pound delivered by none other than Michael the Count Bisping.

well did you ever see the older ppvs “On the Mat with Marc Laimon”…Laimon taught BJJ moves, and Joe Rogan had to say at least three times “dont do this at home” “dont try this on your little brother” “this is just for fans to understand what theses fighters are doing, dont do this at home”…
anf mtu..no he doesnt look like he should let forrest kick him, but doesnt he kinda look like Mauro

I think it’s funny how so many on here jump ship once Forrest put this guy in the hospital (supposedly). He obviously didn’t do it on purpose. It was obviously staged. What about when Liddell threw that arm bar on that radio personality? Or when RC choked out the famale radio personality. It’s all crap. They ask for a lil jackass stunt and something goes a lil off, and all of a sudden the fighter is wrong.

Personally I think it was a bit bullyish of Forrest or he was trying to look cool in front of the girl. I think it was a little uncalled for. Look at that poor guy and he got his leg fractured? Classy real classy.

I didn’t read most of these comments to after but really look at the way that guy was standing, there is no way he expected to be kicked that hard. It takes years to build up tolerance in the legs to withstand that type of kick and to just be standing there nonchalant and relaxed, he wasn’t thinking he would be kicked like that.

If you see forrest on the street and you ask him if you can get a picture of him and you. But then he said “let me hit you in the leg first.” and you are thinking in your mind "what the heck he is just playin around with so i should say yes. THen u said yes. Next thing u know Forrest hits u on your leg and starting laughing at you. Do u think thats funny. After that your girl have to escort you to the hospital saying your leg is fractured, then what u cant go to work and you have to pay for the hospital bill. That;s just ridiculous. I would not kick someone unless im fighting

st amour…its not some guy on the street, its a show personality….people who have met Forrest say he is one of the most approachable fighters, and no bully by any means…if something is wrong im sure the show will pay for it, since they allowed it to happen anyway…and HAIRLINE FRACTURE is not a break by anymeans

I agree it’s not a big deal. But if the text is accurate, Forrest did say he would only answer the guy’s question if he could kick him. Look at the guy just before getting kicked, he clearly didn’t expect a “real” kick…and the kick may not have been full-force, but you can hear it hit.
I don’t think Forrest is a “bully” because of this, just that his judgment is pretty poor. Anybody with some sense would look at the guy standing there with his hands on hips and say “hey get ready, I’m really gonna kick you.”

If there is such a thing as a “sucker kick” then Forrest did it. I think that is what makes the kick so bad. Listen and watch close, Forrest is in mid sentence when he kicks. The interview is clearly unprepared for it having no time to brace himself.
“I’m not going to kick him hard, I’m just gonna crack”
Little to much rough-housing, come on, grow up Forrest. This comes from one of your biggest fans.

You guys really hate on someone quick. It was staged for one, and for two, he did not even throw it that hard. If you think about it, he was doing the guy a favor by doing it as a surprise. If the guy would have known it was coming when it did he would have turned his shin into it and had a compound, in place of a hairline.
Forrest is probably one of my favorite fighters, but not based on skill as much as it is based on heart, and his great mentality. Quit wining, and understand that shit like this is staged, and for is not some a**whole bully.

Remember, people, Griffin is an ex-cop. Cops are people who strive to have a job in which they have complete dominance and control over people. The Dwight Shrutes of the world.

Man, I agree Mahde. If the dudes bone cracked from that tap, he needs some mag and cal. MT low leg kicks hurt like hell, but that kick was no where near full power. Does that mean Forrest woulda chopped the guy leg off at full contact speed? Sounds like plain ol internet hype to me.

Hey, where was that Adidas executive standing when he got kicked? And what is the rule about walking onto a dojo’s mat? ( other than to take your shoes off, I mean ).
It depends. Usually you take your shoes off and bow towards the mat when you enter. When you leave the mat, you bow at the exit. Different disciplines have different rules. Some bow with both hands on your knees, some do it with a fist clenched into your palm, etc. If you pay attention, you can see some fighters bow before they enter the octagon.
