i don’t think that video is fair. it only show the fights that rampage has lost. it doesnt show any of his wins. and also look at the guys that he has lost to. wandi and rua.

Men Rampage took a beating on this movie. Chuck is still goin to win.

I agree with you rop122… It’s a little biased. This is kind of weird, but it reminds me of watching the training on Rocky III. Rampage looks business in training and Liddell is having fun and stuff. I honestly don’t care who wins between the two of them, but I look at it this way.

If anyone can beat Liddell it’s Jackson, but he definately would have benefitted from another fight before fighting Liddell. I think that the fight can go either way, but for the first time I’m going to go against Liddell. I may be on crack, but that’s what I think.

The video was pretty strange…and definitely biased in Chuck’s favor. The flurries of accurate punches and kicks that Chuck can throw I think are his key to victory. Or is that stating the obvious? Rampage does have a strong chin, but a few well-placed strikes from Chuck are more than any mortal can withstand.

by SeeRed on May 21, 2007 12:26 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

thought it was interesting and not all that bias.

it does show rampage training a ton while chuck is doing the whole pr bit, including the incoherent appearance on the Texas morning show.

i think it also goes to the point that rampage isn’t the same fighter he was after the KO losses — whether it is true or not. havent seen a video put together like that.

and while not the most accurate portrayal, it gets the point across that even though rampage won that fight, Liddell has gone on to become a champion and Jackson hasn’t been able to recapture that same glory (sans Arona).

I gotta agree with UFCMANIA, it wasnt Bias it just showed where each mans career has gone since the last fight. That shit gave me chills, Saturday couldnt come quick enough.

I think it’s funny how they put that clip of Chuck on that morning show…LOL. Can’t wait for this fight

Rampage once gave an interview shortly after leaving Pride where he talked about the reasons why he left pride. I am sure its on Youtube. He complained that alot of his fights were taken on short notice and that when he would ask for a fight they wouldn’t give it to him and then last minute they would throw him in there with some beasts. Example, his fight against Sakuraba was taken on short notice and he still gave Sakuraba a hell of a fight. After losing to Wand the first time he was requesting a rematch ASAP and yet he was given Arona and then again was given short notice that he was finally getting his rematch with Wand. His biggest gripe with Pride was that he felt like as if they were using him because of his exciting style but didn’t really want him to beat their “top” guys thus wouldn’t ever give him the kind of two fight prior notice that they give guys like Wand all the time. Wand pretty much knows who his two fights that year will be and barring a last minute pull out he has time to plan and train properly. I just remember Rampage was pretty upset about that and felt like given the proper amount of time to prepare that he would fair well against anyone in the world.

Well now he has had time to prepare so we will find out if he is right about what proper training time will do for him as far as his showing in the octagon.

Ask Jeremy Horn and Randy Couture. Those guys had never been knocked out before.

The video isn’t biased. I think it gives you a good idea of how they both went completely different directions after that fight. Chuck is on top of the world, and Rampage is trying to consistent and earn some respect. I hope the fight lives up to the hype.

I really don’t see any of the two guys going down . Maybe chuck ll win by decision .

Boy, if you don’t like Rampage, just watch his fights against Silva. He took a whoopin and a half. He got three whoopins in two fights. No wonder he acts so goofy now.

The guys is making money from endorsements, doing cameos on his favorite TV Show, and partying like a rock star. Shaq said that he’s the only other Athlete that he’d pay to see. He probably sleeps with grade “A” Vegas talent on any given night. He is respected by his peers. Oh yeah, and he has the belt. I’d say “top of the world” is pretty accurate.

I agree that Rampage hasn’t recaptured that glory but, at the same time Chuck hasn’t fought the type of opponents that rampage has fought…and I did not see the RUA fight but I did watch the fight against wandy which was an all out war that i have never seen chuck in…ever…So to me the question is what is chuck prepared to do if his knockout attempts fail and he is forced to exchange round after round..

no bias?
rampage has beaten ninja, arona, and lindland since that time. he has taken a couple beatings, but at the same time, you gotta consider who his opponets were. i think chuck might find himself in a diff situation if he fought wandi twice and rua.

FYI, since no one is offering to point it out, after Rampage beat Chuck, he had to fight Wand a little later that same night. Just food for thought.

yeah good point man. What happened to showing the other seven fights Rampage won, not even showing the Arona powerbomb. Its a little bias in my book.

Uooofff… I just saw Rampage vs. Rua. That is equally bad. I would say it is comparable to either Tito vs. Shamrock #2 or #3 but it lasted a little longer.

couture, tito, sobral, horn. they’re not mugs by any stretch, fair enough wandy and arona might be up there with the best, but chuck’s opponents haven’t been nobodies! it’ll be a good fight, if it lasts three rounds it’ll be a miracle though.
chuck with strikes in the first or rampage with ground and pound in the second.

I really liked that video. I am a little unsure of the song choice, but other then that it was a good video. I still stand by my thought that Rampage will still take this fight. He may not take it as easy as the first one, but I think that he has the skills to beat Chuck.

Very well put together video. It’s gona be a good fight. It’s nice to ahve a fight like this, where the an even amount of people are calling for one to win as the other. No loppsided stuff.
I don’t think it is biased. And I think Chuck will take this one. All I know is this week is gonna go by really slow.

This video definitely isnt biased. Yes, it shows Chuck winning two fights after his fight against Rampage and Rampage losing two afterwards, but that is what happened. Rampage fought and lost to the two top guys in his division at the time. Chuck fought and beat the two top guys in his division at that time.

While I think that Rampage may have lost a little something after his first lost to Wandi, he doesnt have to worry about that here. He has already beaten Chuck, so there isnt that doubt a fighter has from losing to someone before and he is definitely hungrier than Chuck. Rampage has never held the belt. He has come close, but thats it.

A Chuck Liddell loss will shake up the LHW division and make things interesting.

couture is the only one of note. hell,

Couture is the only one of note…Jeremy Horn is probably one of th emost respected fighters in MMA. With the amount of fights he had an to never have been knocked or tko’d? What is he glass joe from tyson’s punchout? How could Jeremy Horn not be a respectable fight? Tito is not notable? Did he not completely bring MMA to the fore front? Yeah he has had some lack luster victories and I think he is a prick, but he is has been at the top of the weight division forever. And in both fights he completely owned Tito. Chuck treated him like a teenager in a rental car. He beat on him for a few miles then parked is ass real quick like he was bored with it. Do you really feel that Tito or JEremy Horn would be no comepetion for Shogun or WAndi?

Do you really feel that Tito or JEremy Horn would be no comepetion for Shogun or WAndi?

NO NO NO. Especially Jeremy Horn( http://fcfighter.brinkster.net/fighter.asp?FighterID=8437 ) (who has he beat worth fighting except a young chuck?ABSOLUTELY NOONE). We all know Titos striking is below average, and thats the only way that he tried to fight Chuck. Thats like Chuck trying to ground and pound Tito. Comeon dude seriously. So all that we have established here is that Chuck has RECENTLY beat the Cal Ripken of MMA (Jeremy Horn, meaning someone who has had a long career NEVER REALLY FIGHTING ANYONE), and he beat a fish out of water in Tito (WHO WAS TRYING TO STRIKE WITH CHUCK WHICH MAKES YOU THINK "yeah but that just means Chucks striking is sooo much better…
world class. HAHA look at who Chuck has beat and show me one true striker?). Oh wait…. RAMPAGE AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO CHUCK WHEN GOT INTO THE RING WITH A TRUE GROUND AND POUND AND STRIKER FIGHTER! Sick Burn!!!!

by Fo Shizzle on May 22, 2007 9:46 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Alot of people who say rampage was the only real competition for chuck also seem to be saying that fighters like couture, horn, and tito are not good fighters, I don’t know what fights you all have been watching chuck fight but I’ve always seen him fight and beat the best in the UFC, and after the 26th he will again have beaten one of the best. I guess the only way people are going to thik highly of Chucks skill is if he takes on three champion boxers and beats the crap out of them.

Just saw this was linking to my video (yeah I’m the one that made it). Really fun to see the response it’s getting. It should be noted that I’m a huge Rampage fan and I’m rooting for him to win on saturday.

Thanks to everyone that liked it, and to those that didn’t, thanks for your opinion as well but don’t take the video so literally ;) See it more as a semi documentary, semi cinematic movie that symbolise what’s happened.

Be sure to check out my older pride highlight as well (it got taken of youtube): http://www.dailymotion.com/shadyfax

because he’s the champ and he’s earning massive money for every bout in the UFC. he’d be stupid to go back to pride in a financial sense, and the depth in the LH division in pride isn’t better than UFC now shogun has signed up.
tito, horn and babalu aren’t the best in the world but they’ve all had their monents and are decent fighters. beating couture twice is awesome though, without a doubt.

chuck would accept a fight with any of the pride light heavies, i’d love to see chuck v wandy but it doesn’t look on the cards anymore, but he’d accept a fight with shogun no question.

that vid is not biased it shows chuck getting a little too comfortable in his life and i think is meant to make you unsure of what is to be come may 26Th.

Maybe I just don’t smoke enough weed, but I don’t see a big difference between a pride fighter and a ufc fighter, I hope your are going to be able to handle the fact that chuck beat rampage after the 26th.

You are obviously a Pride nuthugger. Losen your grip on their nutsacks. It’s no wonder Pride fighters can’t win in the UFC with all the guys like you Clinging to their bag. I’m surprised they can even make weight. They don’t even have to ware a cup, their balls are well protected with all the nuthuggers. Wake up to reality. Both orgs. have the best fighters in the world, but with different rules, so expect the UFC to win at home and vice versa.

Looks like pride dose have the better fighter, gord(UFC nuthugger) we got two new champs from pride in ufc (silva/rampage) u must be new to mma. and buy the way how is it that chuck is the fav to win, when rampage already beat his ass so convincingly. Also everyone chucks fought since are not even on the same level as rampage and rampages losses since came from guys that would also destroy chuck…
