UFC Quick Quote: Rampage likes Chuck's mohawk

"His Mohawk. I'm impressed with his Mohawk. How does he get his Mohawk like that every time? How does he do that? Does he do it himself? Does he have someone do it for him? Does he have something he puts on it to make it look good every time?"

-- In a recent conference call to promote UFC 71 -- the content for which was passed along from Dave Doyle at FOXSports.com -- Quinton "Rampage" Jackson notes that he is most impressed with the mohawk of current Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell. That's right ... not his crushing overhand right or tremendous success since the last two met ... it's his signature "Iceman" mohawk that most impressess Jackson.

He is mad funny..you can’t help but like and root for the guy. Since I first time I’ve seen him fight in pride against Sakuraba he has been impressive as a fighter and more so as a person..he is great ambassador for our sport..I’m rooting for him on May 26th..this fight already has a great story it should be a great fight.

Hey man, I like his mohawk too! :) Way too much man love for two guys about to fight LOL. No I think Rampage is hilarious. I think it actually calms him for the fight. His way of dealing with the pressure.

Rampage is the man, i don’t know who i want to win this fight. i need to get the sound clip of Rampage saying “I’m gonna whoop Chuck’s ass” that they use on the UFC 71 commercials

Most impressive thing about Rampage is how he is borderline retarded but still fights.
joke…

Even if Rampage loses this fight. He still is and will be one of the best additions to the UFC. Rampage is the shizzle.

What a fight, what a fight, what a fight!

This is definitely the fight that I have been looking forward for a long time! I have always been a Chuck fan, but I am also a Rampage fan. I truely think that Chucks time as champ is about to come to an end.

The three other fights I can’t wait to see (followed by my opinion of the outcome):
1) Dan Henderson vs UFC 185lb title holder, and then if he wins, Dan Henerson vs UFC 205lb title holder a few months later. Can someone have 4 belts as once?!?!?! (I think that Henderson can win the UFC Middleweight belt, but if someone like Shogun had the belt by the time something like this happened, Henderson would be doomed and not win the 205lb title.
2) Mauricio Shogun Rua vs Chuck Lidell (Rua would win, in devastating fashion in the first round)
3) My and everyone elses boy, Jon Fitch fight for the UFC Welterweight Belt.

I dont either. How many times to do we have to talk about this? Rampage has a public persona that, love it or hate it, is funny as hell and more charasmatic than anyone. But watch film of him messing around with his friends, the famous snowball fight clip, the way he handled himself after the Ninja disaster, or the clip with Joe Rogan even. No one inside the sport, except Wandy, has ever said a bad thing about him, including Chuck Liddell, at least that I’ve heard.

Hes def a a cool fun energetic guy, he is not an idoit by any means.

In my opinion, an “over-the-top” personality LHW Champion like Rampage would be good for the UFC…better than Nyquil Liddell. Rampage humor is a bit low-brow, but his interviews are definitely entertaining, unlike Chuck’s.

Tell us about the ninja disaster.

Tell us about the ninja disaster.

Again, gotta watch to understand.

Watch it first then, watch the first 30 secs 2-3 times and watch QRJ’s face and listen to Mauro and Bas. Saying this fight was one-sided is an understatement.

Rampage is so funny!!! But when he gets KO by Chuck. Chuck would be saying “I am not impressed by your performance.” i got that from st. pierre

by St. Amour on May 18, 2007 5:23 PM EDT reply actions

i’m sure it means the shit, but i could wrong nobody uses it over here lol.

by jason bang on May 18, 2007 9:28 PM EDT reply actions

I like them BOTH but after re-re-and-re-watching their
first fight, my money is on Chuck.
~Some of the damaging knee shots Rampage gave Chuck the first
fight while Chuck was on the ground are illegal in UFC.
 (disadvantage Jackson)
~Rampage ducked he head and left himself open many times
in the first fight and was open to eat some knees. Chuck’s
knees have gotten better
 (advantage Lidell)

Just hoping for a good fight that goes more than one round
and ends with a knockout…not a submission.
