Griffen is one of my favorit fighters. HE is a regular guy, who just loves to fight. He has allot of heart and shows that he cares allot about being a fighter.

I was lucky enough to get this drawing from Evan Shoman

Pathetic that ADCC and Grapplers Quest champ Monson gets his azz handed to him on the ground by a Forrest Griffin who had literally no BJJ training at this point in his career ( 4-5 fight ever ). Sad. Pathetic.

ANARCHY I SAY. ( Monson quote, dont take me seriously ).

I’m just glad those announcers don’t announce for the UFC. As for the fight, those guys were obviously exhausted, especially Monson. That has to be why Forrest was able to get the mount so easily. I do have to give Monson credit for remaining fairly elusive while mounted though.

Welcome back, Chris.

I am just trying to be positive for a while! Hope it helps! You never messaged me back, but I did notice you removed the comments, and I thank you for this.

Thank You
Chris Valentine

I agree, Forrest is also one of my favs and he has a real passion for the sport. Thanks for posting this, I had heard about it, but never seen it. Very cool.

Man, Monson is one tough cat too. Anyone that beats that guy besides Poopie Sylvia, is definitely a contender. Forrest Rocks!

Monson looks a lot smaller in that fight.

Was it at 205?

Yeah. The card he fought on was better than UFC 72….

wondering how even the other rounds were, becuase Forrest took it to him in that one….bad ass leg kick that dropped him, i think it was a body shot that dropped him before that, and one of the main reasons why i like forrest, after the fight all he wants to do is talk to monson haha, and then tries to get the cameras out of monsons face

by MMA Dude on May 16, 2007 9:37 AM EDT reply actions

Forrest has gotten worse…while monson has improved.

I can’t believe this even happened. Props to Forrest, i’m disappointed in Monson. I would have guessed Monson would kill him had I not seen this.

Bisping would smash this guy and make him look bad.

How??? Not sure I get that at all, this was his 5th fight… and mcanena, i dont know if you are talking about forrest or monson, but im pretty sure bisping would have his hands extremely full with both
