It got cut out of the banner, but TUF 5’s Gray Maynard, Light Heavyweights Forrest Griffin and Jason Lambert, Jay Heiron, as well as Big John McCarthy are also scheduled to appear.
Sounds pretty cool.

Met Randy when he was doing an appearance at a one-year anniversary for a supplement store in town. Super nice guy, very quiet and not as big as what I thought he would be. It was funny because there was a fitness model there also and everyone was in line to see Randy and only a couple people were in line to see her, little bit of a reality check for her I think.
BTW he only was charging $10 for an autograph. Ironic, the guy who is the HW champ is charging less for an autograph than the guy he beat, Slyvia @ $40.

Oh My God. MMA is invading Norstrom’s. Has it all really come this far?

I thought that was a bit strange myself.

My wife and I got to take our pictures with him. He’s a super cool guy and easy going, I would imagine he would let you take pictures unless it’s a mad house and they want to keep people moving through the line.

damnm even randy is charging now huh? atleast its not 40. I think most people could think of something much more entertaining to spend $40 on.

What’s Jay Heiron doing there with UFC fighters, granted he used to fight in the UFC but he’s signed with the IFL now.

Affliction Clothing now has t-shirts for Couture (obviously you can get a limited edition signed one! :) ) GSP, Liddell and now a Sherk one. I would definitely be buying but I live in Canada and so far there is no sales up here for them, and even the t-shirts are like $40 a pop and really I cant afford that lol.

He trains with Couture, no? Anyone?

Yes, he trains with Couture and corners him, that’s the reason I can see too…

Yes, and as I just learned with a quick call, so does Martin Kampann! I guess there’s no website yet for Extreme Couture, so Mania you owe me for the long distance charges! :( ;)

Yeah, Jay trains with and is a trainer at Randy’s gym- Extreme Couture -in Las Vegas.
Jason, I am in the Omaha area and saw Randy at the appearance you were at…was he charging for autographs or for the 8×10 glossy to be signed at the table? I had him sign my gloves and didn’t give him any money because I thought people were giving him money for the glossy, not for the autograph! I would feel bad if I didn’t pay him when I should have…oh well.
If that is the case, it shows how cool Randy is, because I talked with him a bit and got a picture with him with no mention of $. Randy rocks!!!

Well shit, oh well I didn’t mind giving him the ten bucks; hell I should have charged him since he was all up on my wife when I took their picture together. Of course my wife didn’t seem to mind either.

That’s perfect! I’m visiting family Long Island, unfortunately for a funeral, but I’ll be free on Saturday and it’s my birthday. Sweet!
Does anyone know what time they’ll be there?

I want to go. How far is it from Philly to the island?
by ajadoniz on May 9, 2007 12:48 PM EDT reply actions
aja-
Driving? Eh, 2.5 hours, with no traffic. Which would mean driving between the hours of 11pm and 7am. If the weather is nice there’s beach traffic on the island and shore traffic on the NJ turnpike.
