UFC Fight Night 10 to take place in Florida

The upcoming UFC Fight Night 10 special, which is scheduled for June 12, will take place in Florida, according to a reliable UFCmania source.

Up until this time the location has been undetermined.

I was unable to confirm the venue 100 percent, but all indications point to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

That's the same spot where UFC Fight Night 8 took place earlier this year, as well Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3: "The Final Chapter" in October 2006.

In addition, the welterweight showdown between Jon Fitch and Roan Carneiro -- which we reported yesterday as happening at the The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 5 Finale -- will take place in the Sunshine State.

It's also rumored that Spencer Fisher will rematch Sam Stout that same evening.

As a big Fitch fan -- as well as a Florida resident -- this is some great news for yours truly.

The Hard Rock is also a great place to see a UFC show -- the January event was packed and the crowd was electric.

Perhaps that's the reason the UFC decided to return so soon.

WHY? Florida never turns out for sporting events. There are 47 states more deserving than FLA. So we will get a another crowd of booing ,drunken, unappreciative morons. Good job UFC.

I agree rollo, as far as baseball and football goes it is pretty bad. not sure about ufc though we’re a totally different crowd.

I was at the last show in January. Arena was jammed and the fans were pumped. The Herring-O’Brien fight took a lot of steam out of everyone. But other than that I wouldn’t say anything bad about the turnout or crowd reaction.

Anyways I know Ive just come back from CATZ a stripclub just down the road from me got back at 4 in the morning the girls there are nice,I was telling them all about UFC and how crocop got his leg turned the wrong way round and his head nearly kicked off and it was a rather splendid night.
