This knock out was more impressive than the Gonzaga win over CC. This knock out was classic. Glad to see Nate back. I met this guy at an event and he was a really cool dude. Very down to earth guy

quary is a good guy and a pretty well rounded fighter, he just bit off a little more than he could chew with Rich, and he payed dearly….it will be nice seeing him back….ps rich is a classy dude, you always see pictures of him and his wife with the guy he just fought, win or lose

nice, i like nate quarry, i wonder who he’ll fight first, its obviously gonna be someone who’s not that good for his first fight back they’re not gonna put him in there with someone else they want to win, i’d like to see him eventually fight ed herman, that’d be nice

I’m glad Nate’s back. He’s a cool Cat and a hell of a fighter. I think the MW division will be grateful to have him back.

I rather see Kampmann fought Nathan instead of Franklin but who knows?! 2007 seems to be the year of upsets.. Kampmann by sumbission in the 3rd.. :)

nobody submits franklin

Franklin will TKO Kampmann in the first round. Rich Franklin is the man. After he beats Kampmann, his confidence will be back to when he was champion. I know Franklin can beat Anderson Silva. If Anderson Silva gets past Nate Marquardt; Franklin will beat Silva by decision in October.
I don’t think Ed Herman and Nate Quarry would fight since they both train in Oregon. I’d like to see Pete Sell vs. Quarry II. Quarry beat Sell with a controversial stoppage by Cecil Peoples twelve seconds into the fight on the first Ultimate Fight Night and then was awarded a title fight with Franklin.

“nobody submits franklin” I dont think Kampmann is the man to do it but who suspected crocop would get knockouted by a LHK.

I like Quarry, my favorite is his Franklin pre-fight hype interview, “This isn’t a game to me, I’m not playin’ around.” Just the way he said it was like a nice guy trying to act tough on camera. Din’t work for him but he’s still a likeable guy.

did he take a picture wit anderson silva after there fight, and his folded up nose ?>

Rich Franklin better hope that Machida doesn’t drop down to middleweight. He was only 199 at his last fight, which is probably around what Franklin weighs come fighttime.

by Mahde on Apr 26, 2007 1:53 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Oh, and I guess I should comment on Quarry, since this post is about him. I dont know what he had to say (IE kept freezing when I tried to look at it) but the MW division sorely needs more competent fighters so he is obviously a welcome addition.

by Mahde on Apr 26, 2007 1:55 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

by plotze on Apr 26, 2007 1:58 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Longislandguy, actually yeah, he and his wife did…..im serious hes all class….and Mahde….how are you so impressed with Machida, how many fights of his have you seen…so far i dont find him as dangerous as evryone thinks, he does have a win over rich, but that doesnt mean he is better, i would love to see a rematch though, but Machida is pretty solid at 199 or 205 however much he weighed

by MMA Dude on Apr 26, 2007 2:08 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Nate “Undeserving Title Shot” Quarry should never come back.

haha nah he only takes pictures with guys he beats up.
if he gets beat he just goes home and does his best jim carrey impression. although i bet after that fight he could only do “The Mask”.

cro cop has been knocked out before, franklin never submitted and if j mac couldn’t do it, i doubt kampmann will, no i guarentee he won’t…

i think machida is good not only because of the franklin win, but the bj penn win and the stephan bonnar win and he’s undefeated, he has to be good, i’ve only seen the franklin fight and the hogar fight but he’s an animal i know that, i think he could def make 185 and if rich could somehow avenge his loss to anderson silva, a rematch with machida would be a badass fight, or machida vs. silva, both nice fights, i think machida should go to 185 though to beef up the mw division

by tha spida on Apr 26, 2007 2:39 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

he may as well hes a small heavyweight

he should fight chris leben, drew mcfedries in a rematch, pete sell in a rematch, or kendall grove

by ruber on Apr 26, 2007 3:36 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

he and chris leben are personal friends, i doubt they would fight…

From all accounts Franklin is a class act, or from my limited perspective anyway. But, is that the BIRD on Nate’s shoulder?

how are these fights cofidence boosters, they look more like protect RICH until he can get his title shot so he can get his faced Smashed again by Silva.

by jimmy on Apr 26, 2007 4:58 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

mcfedries would be a nice opponent, but he might knock the rock out, i don’t think ufc wants that, they’ll at least give nate one fight he should win…

I have seen Machida in six fights (they arent too difficult to find if you go to DailyMotion.com).
I am impressed with him because he dominated his opponent in every fight and yes he is better than Franklin. Its not like the match was all even and then Machida threw a bomb. Machida picked Franklin apart the entire fight (just like the other five fights) and then finished him with a jab, followed by a hook and then a knee to seal the deal. Machida is the fucking man.

But this is about Nate Quarry so I will add that once I got on his site, I thought the whole comic book thing was pretty cool……..but Machida would beat his ass.

Maybe Linland should join to heat it up a little!

Fuck Lindland I dont want to see that overrated bald old man back in the ufc. Remember the time Dave Terrell knocked him the fuck out, that was nice!

by The Icon on Apr 26, 2007 9:01 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

As for the Lindland comment I honestly think this is another dick head. He was one IFL cliaming to be the #1 Middleweight and that he would dominate Fedor, and although “some” questioned the outcome (why I do not know) He got his ass handed to him. He looked ok against Carlos Newton, but Carlos was to high to know what the hell was going on in that fight.

As for Nate Quarry, I would not mind seeing him come back. I really want to see what he is worth. I know he was not ready for Franklin, but I think he could get there some day. One of my friends (more like internet friend/MMA source) Evan Shoman is good friends with Nate. I am sure he is looking forward to him coming back.

I’am glad to see Nate back. He seems like a really cool guy, but I have to say that was one of my favorite knockouts of all time. Rich really nailed him. I don’t think he was ready to fight that high of a caliber of fighter.

by trisha on Apr 27, 2007 12:13 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Nate seems to be a good guy, im glad he is back. He has potential and a really good work ethic so I think he could be competitive if he can stay free from injuries.

Rich is tha man, cant wait to see him mix it up with Silva again. Im sure the fight will be differant from the first. Id go as far as betting on Rich to get the title back.

Nate Quarry has skills and def. belong at the top ranking, the last time I checked. What he is now is to be seen, but very glad he’s back. Hope they have somebody somewhat legit for him to fight. Screw Pete Sell….he looks like a joke when he fought Travis Lutter.

by LUKE on Apr 27, 2007 2:09 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I want to see him fight Phil Baroni after he Knocks out Frank Shamroid.
