I believe he stand a chance, he will put him to the ground and submit him in the end of round 1.

Yeah right, Franklin is at best a runner up in a Jim Carrey look-a-like contest.
Kampmann took some serious shots from Fickett.
Hope Rich brings out more than he did in his last two fights, cause he’s the one with everything to lose.

ah shit not Fickett, MCfedries, I always get those two mixed up.

I like Kampmann but I don’t think he’s even close to being ready for Rich yet, he’s to small. I’m really only interested in seeing Rich fight Silva, Marquardt, or Okami in the near future.
I think if Bisping comes out unscathed early this week, there is a real posssibility that he could end up facing Forrest on this card. It’s a fight worthy of main event status for a free show on Spike. It keeps him in Europe, close to England and his fans and it will sell tickets.

I’m at work. Most people are at work. Very very corporate here. Can’t see streaming video. UFCMANIA, I know you don’t want to transcribe an entire video – for time and ripoff reasons – but, could you maybe throw out some bullet statements with videos that you put up. Just something so that I can get the jist of what is going on in the video. I’d really like to know what Kampmann thinks about the fight.
Thanks.

dirtyML….haha ficket…yeah becuase he has waaaaaay more powerfull strikes than Rich…no i see this fight going alot like the McFriedries fight, only if it goes to the ground, Rich wont get easily submitted….Rich by refferee stppage after beating Kampman mercilessly

Same with me Mania. Have blocks on almost everything so i cant access any streaming videos. If you could just write a small summary of them for us that would be great! Anyways, i think Kampmann has a chance, call me crazy, but i wouldn’t be surprised with an upset here.

McFedries is a spare, and he whaled on Kampmann before it went to the ground. Rich is a world class striker, performance against Silva notwithstanding, and will beat Kampmann to a pulp. Kampmann can’t stand up and trade with Franklin and isn’t strong enough to take him down.

I don’t think Kampman is nearly as slick on the ground as Macdonald is, and Rich just pulled away from Jmac the one chance he got on the ground… Rich is way to powerfull for Kampman to sumbit. Kampman is going to be a human punching bag, kinda like in the Rocky movie where he trains with the beef in the freezer. I’d be a lot more excited to see to guys who match up well fight. Give us Macdonald vs. Kampman. Neither guy wants a standing fight, and it would make a sick ground fight.

This is a confidence builder no doubt. Getting Rich Franklin ready for his next real macth up, Silva. Man I KNOW that was not Rich fighting that last time, he can do a whole lot better than that. I hope he takes it back from Silva.
Whats eveybody’s thoughts on Anderson Silva/Rich Franklin II?

Well no one else said anything… The interviewer asks Martin how he feels about being a face man for the UFC to the European audience, and how he feels about being one of the best fighters from his home country, and he replys much as you would expect with saying he’s proud and all that. But anyway he’s optimistic about fighting Franklin and predicts himself the decisive victor!

he stands a chance in hell rich is mad and Dana not helping to much by giving rich not easy fights but fights he has a good 95% chance of winning lets see rich fight lutter or cote or anybody who is a good 50 50 match(not saying he wouldn’t walk through lutter and cote don’t get mad just said them)

Franklin does look like a monkey and his voice is gay but that guy can fight.Im just glad I wasnt a pupil in one of his maths classes or Id of been gettin me asshole fucked for being bad.

mcanena…can you stop posting so I never have to read your crap again???
i think kampmann is a really tough kid, with a solid chin, but i don’t see him lasting very long with franklin. i think they could have come up with a better headliner, a better opponent for franklin. one of franklin’s problems going into his fight with silva was the lack of suitable competition in his previous fights. i think he may have gotten soft…this fight will not help him either.
by WADZ on Apr 20, 2007 4:52 PM EDT reply actions
dont you guys learn anything? we have just seen Randy dominate silva for 5rounds in UFC 68 and in UFC 69 we saw serra knockout GsP in the first round (hated that match Gsp is one of my favorit fighters but he will come back strong)
So why dont you give martin kampmann a chance the guy is skilled he has a good stand up, groundgame and he has a very good chin, the one fight he lost was because of a cut (tko)
i dont think kampmann is gonna get bashed like alot of you ppl think.
i’m from denmark so Rich and martin is two of my favorite fighters in middelweight, so its a though fight for me to call.
i’m saying Franklin wins on decision but i’m not counting kampmann out. i hope he can make a good preformance and hang with Rich. he is only 25 and still learning, he hopefully has a long career infront of him…
Go Kampmann!!
ps sry for my english
