Works fine now if there was issues earlier. I guess Tito started the confrontation with a handshake and a comment. Sounds like normal Tito. It’s head games, and it’s a part of the sport. If I could tell you something and throw you off your gameplan I would do it too. Shit! it might pist you off enough to make a mistake in the fight. As for Forrest he’s a piece of work. I love this guy…he’s a genuine fighter. I’m sure he’s working hard in the gym but he’s going to have to step his game up higher with all the new comp and the PRIDE deal. Forrest is a funny dude man, and he tells it how he see’s it.

this is old news… funny just the same… I’d like to see Forrest be a guest ref just for this one match, and in the middle of the fight Forrest just jumps on Tito and beats the hell out of him while yelling “now who won Bitch!!!” … …. sorry, I had a flashback to my pro wrestling watching days….

Forrest is one of the realest dudes you’ll ever meet. It’s all about fighting to him not the tv bullshit.

Talk about a senseless and horrible tragedy.

ibread….youre retarded….Ortiz dominated griffin, griffins OVER RATED as a fighter…
Jardine and Ortiz made griffin their bitch.
Ortiz will be LightHeavy Weight Champion in due time.

If they bring in Shogon then Tito will never be champ again. No chance in hell. If they don’t and Chuck retires then maybe he will win it. Even then I seriously doubt it.

hahah coming from someone with punishment athletics as there name doesnt suprise me youre a tito fan….but this thread is about forrest, no one even mentioned tito or jardine….if forrest as a ufc newcomer is overrated, what does that make the legend tito ortiz, seeings how it was a close enough fight to be a split decision…niether made the other one their bitch….and as far as your last statement goes, in due time meaning after chuck retires? or after he grows a set and startsbeing a fighter not a business man

LMAO The only time Ortiz will be light heavyweight champion is when Chuck retires or moves up in weight.

how the hell does tito still have fans??? and he did NOT beat griffin. i must have watched that fight 25times. those judges head their heads so far up titos ass the lump in his throat was a nose. tito is an arrogant loudmouth dickhead, who fights one dimensionally and i hope rashad beats the hell out of him and we never have to see him on television again

Sorry, i dont see tito ever being champ at light heavy again.I think Forrest or even Rampage will have it before him.

Tito barely beat Forrest lets face the truth. If Tito was as good as he claims he would have beaten chuck…didn’t happen…chuck smashed his face end of story. So Tito beat Ken Shamrock and barely beat Forrest…big deal.he sucks he should go away now.

Tito beat Forrest but not by a big margin, he won the first round easy and i’d sayt he won the 3rd but that just me.

Tito did win the third round. I understand Tito is a big mouth and all but he undoubtedly won the first, lost second, and he pulled the third. I can’t believe people still argue this. Watch the fight and score it using some MMA knowledge. If you hate Tito than fine, but he won that fight

Totally agree way you their dude. Its funny that if someone dislkies a fighter they tend to not score for them and think the’re doing worst than they are.

i am no huge forrest fan but i like him a lot more than tito. and i dont think he won the 3rd. he always talks about his conditioning but he was totally gassed in the 2nd and 3rd rounds which is why he couldnt take forrest down after the 1st.

Exactly score it with some basic mmaknowledge and it is undeniable that Griffin won the second round yet 1 judge scored him winning that second round. The third round was as close as it comes clearly was going to Griffin until the takedown and Tito did nothing with the takedown so you easily could score that one to Forrest too. Whether or not you believe Forrest won or lost the third round you can’t deny that there was a blatantly biast judge involved who scored the fight 30-27 giving Tito all 3 rounds.

Tito will never be champ at 205 again I’m pretty damn sure of that, atleast 3 top guys besides Chuck Lidell (Jackson,Jardine,Evans) would simply smash Ortiz and thats before any pride talent comes over so forget about it. Anyway Griffen cracks me up, I always enjoy seeing his reactions and what not, besides he has the second funniest interviews in MMA behind Rampage (that is barring random Chuck interviews). What do you guys think, who has the funniest interviews?

amen, i agree 1 million percent, the tito haters just keep arguing against this, but to me its black and white, tito won 2 rounds to 1, props to forrest for taking a beating in the first and coming back to take it the distance, but c’mon people tito did not lose that fight

Tito will probably never be champ again, but definently has a better chance than Forrest!! haha. The fact that tito can compete at all with Evans, and even Chuck, says he is a world bettter than forrest. I love Forrest, he one of my favorite people, hilarious, honest, nice. He has the fighting spirit, but he just dosnt have the rest. Can’t all be winners. He will never be in serious contendership.

I would like to see him get back into contention, but honestly I think Exceptional is right with this one. Tito can’t hang with Chuck, and he won’t fight Rampage. Although I think he’s gonna beat Evans. Jardine is the toss up for me just because his fighting style is similar to Liddell’s. I like Forrest, but he is no Tito Ortiz. This is just the way it is

Jardine is the only person who would come close to beating Chuck, thats if Chuck was drunk, again. Forrest is hell but needs lottsa work.

Tito could def be the champ again at 205.
not the champ he use to be, or was, but it COULD happen.
Evans will loose to ortiz, who has evans beat to make him such a great fighter? well…heres his chance, gona be a great fight, but Tito wins in my opinion.(cant wait for this one)
and jardines great too…love the deam of mean…
jardine and ortiz will be the next guys to fight for the title at 205 after rampage.(i only say ortiz cuz i feel he beats evans, and if he beats evans, he likely gets another title shot, remember, ortiz seels tickets, makes dana money!)

Tito definitely beat Forrest. I’d even give him a 10-8 first round – total domination. Forrest never landed any big shots, got any take downs, or came close to submitting Tito. I do admit the 2nd and 3rd rounds were close – but Tito opened Forrest up and was able to score the take down. I’d like to see a re-match.
As for Evans, I think he has a better chance than Forrest did but we’ll see if Tito is injured this time. If he is, it could be a tough night. I’m favoring Tito.
-Chuck has a few years in him so I don’t see a retirement any time soon. He’ll probably beat Rampage this time around.
-Tito has a number of years in him as well.
-Evans and Jardine are getting better and more impressive with every match but Tito is still young and also improving.
-I can’t see Forrest getting back to serious contention (although I really enjoy watching his matches and interviews).
-Shogun will probably stay in Pride.
I think Tito still has a shot at regaining the title, but not for a while (at least while Chuck is at the top of his game). Then again, there will be more up and comers by then as well.

My Evans v Tito fight analisys:
Wrestling is close but I give the edge to Tito because of experience, size, and strength. It seems that wrestling is the focus of his camp. Even Couture couldn’t administer a lot of damage to Tito from the top position and Couture is one of the best wrestlers in the UFC. I can’t see Rashad manhandling Tito at all. If anything, Rashad may be able to sprawl and avoid some of the take down attempts.
GnP: Tito all the way. He has a much longer torso that allows him to do a lot of damage from the guard. He does it time and time again. Rashad finished one fight by GnP against a decent fighter who is far from title contention. Tito has done it to everyone he fought but Chuck and Randy – the current champs.
Striking is tough to say because neither really tries to keep things standing. Tito is one of the only few who stood with Chuck and lasted to the 2nd and 3rd rounds. He has proven his chin very well. I want to give the edge to Rashad because of his quick hands and his KO victory over Salmon but Tito is about 4" taller than Salmon and almost that much taller than Rashad. The reach advantage and chin may negate any advantage Rashad’s quick hands have over Tito’s. Tito’s strikes are looking tighter and crisper with each fight as well.
Cardio isn’t a factor for either – unless one has an injury during training and can’t train properly. Tito has a propensity to get injured so Rashad may have an advantage here – but that’s only if Tito is injured.
Tito has the advantage in experience. Matches against Randy, Chuck, Vitor, Wanderlei, Hughes, Tanner, Vladdy, etc.etc.etc. are invaluable. Rashad has matches against Salmon, Bonner,… and a couple of other guys (albeit, still impressive wins for Rashad). Tito’s only losses have been against the best – and as the saying goes, you learn the most from your losses. Rashad hasn’t fought the best yet.
I don’t see either going for submissions. I’m sure both have great submission defense and neither will get caught.
Both have excellent camps but I think Rashad is improving at a faster rate. It’s tough to say how much Tito is improving since he’s been at or near the top for such a long time. Both are hungry fighters and both are fairly young. This will definitely be an awesome match.
If I had to bet, my bet would be on Tito by decision (unless he’s injured). There’s no way Rashad is going to KO Tito standing or manhandle him to the ground but Rashad will scramble and move enough to last the three rounds. Tito will be a bit bruised up but Rashad (sad to say) will be a mess.

i always liked Forrest until he started crying wen he lost Jardine….. you cant be that emotional wen you get beat otherwise how will you ever become champion?
by King of King Fedors on Apr 21, 2007 9:01 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i could be wrong but i dont believe it was scored 30-27 because the judge had ortiz winning all three rounds. i believe it was scored that way because ortiz was given a 10-8 round for the first round- which was good scoring because it was total domination. Ortiz won the fight clearly and i am afan of forrest. But i dont see much of a future for either. I think they will soon be stepping stones only.
by andrew on Apr 27, 2007 5:54 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
30-27 means the judge said Tito won all three rounds. If Tito won two rounds with one being a 10-8 round while Forrest won one round, the score would have been 29-27.
(10[Tito] 8[Forrest] {rnd2}9[T] 10[F] {rnd3}10[T] 9[F])
I don’t see how someone can win a fight by avoiding some take downs. Like I said before in an earlier posting, Forrest landed 0 big shots, got 0 take downs, and made 0 submission attempts. Effective striking, grappling, and octagon control all went to Tito (in my opinion). 30-27 isn’t far fetched or biased – and neither is 30-26 if you want to say the first round was a 10-8 round for Tito.
In all honesty, I would like to see the UFC incorporate Pride’s damage points. It’s fighting, right? Either way, Tito won that fight.
by fan on May 1, 2007 8:17 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I agree tito won the fight but forrest did get some good punches in and wether your a tito fan or a fan of forrest or neither. The fight went the distance which says more for forrest than it does for tito, well just my opinion. I dont see tito getting a title shot anytime in the next 2 years but i could be wrong. He has had his share of chances to win the title back and has failed. And aassuming chuck still holds the title for the next however many years i dont want to see chuck Vs Ortiz 3 whats the point its a bad matchup for ortiz the iceman has proven tito cant take him down. But i want ortiz to beat rashad. But this is the forrest thread i know and i think he may be goofy and funny but id like to see him face ortiz again i think forrest would win in a rematch.
