UFC Fight Night 9 weigh-in results

Yesterday, the field of 16 fighters on the UFC Fight Night 9 card all tipped the scales without incident.
That is ... each fighter made weight, according to UFC.com, for the show tonight at "The Pearl" in Las Vegas, Nevada, that airs live at 8 p.m. EST on Spike television.
Apologies for not passing the results along sooner -- been tied up with a few other more important items.
So here are the results (better late than never):
Joe Stevenson (153) vs. Melvin Guillard (156)
Justin McCully (245) vs. Antoni Hardonk (242)
Dokonjonosuke Mishima (156) vs. Kenny Florian (156)
Keita Nakamura (170) vs. Drew Fickett (170.5)
Kurt Pellegrino (155) vs. Nate Mohr (155)
Forrest Petz (170) vs. Kuniyoshi Hironaka (170)
Seth Petruzelli (204) vs. Wilson Gouveia (205)
Roan Carneiro (170.5) vs. Rich Clementi (170.5)
Naoyuki Kotani (155) vs. Thiago Tavares (154)
Stick around for Desert Dog's smart bets, which are on their way in the next post (barring breaking news).

“Daddy” weighed in at alot less than needed, i wonder how much Melvin had to cut 2 get 2 the 155 limit. That could play a factor……… hell no, Melvin’s KOing him in the 1st baby!!!

i keep wanting to pick melvin, he looks serious in that picture, and like ibread said daddy came in kind of light, i just hope melvin can stop being so one sided as far as being and offensive fighter, he needs to show some defense too, he needs to be able to defend submissions a lot better, hopefully he has, and tonight is gonna be a big test of that…

hopefully he has worked on his submission defense is what i meant to say…

yeah im kinda thinking his intensity is going to be his downfall…if he’s balls to the wall, and Joe is calm cool and collective, Joe will catch him

I have to agree with whats been said here, I honestly think that Daddy is going to win simply because Melvin appears to have no defence and is not training to get better at it. There is a motto that goes the best defence is a good offence but you have to have some idea of what a defence is to not get killed. Daddy by submission off

If Melvin explodes off the bat, which i’m assuming is gonna happen…Joe with have too weather the storm…If Luke Cummo rocked Joe near the end of their battle, if Melvin catches him lights out…..either way it’s gonna an exciting stopage…

At this point, I rather see a 3rd war than a quick stoppage just so I feel like I got my $’s worth!
