nice, this is gonna be a badass fight, i think tito will win by dec. i think it will be harder for rah to convince the judges because tito is gonna be working hard to get some of his rep back…i think tito will just plain outwork rah in this fight and take the dec.

Only if Tito dominates Rashad will he be considered elite. Should Rashad win, I expect he will get a title shot after Rampage.

I’m not sure rashad can beat tito. Rashad isn’t exactly chuck and if tito gets rashad down and gets in his guard, Rashad is going to have a very bad night.

Don’t mistake me with the fake Travis from post #1… There is a big difference between that UFC rookie Salmon and Tito Ortiz. This is a great match up, because Tito has evolved, and if he wants to have a future in MMA he needs to dominate Rashad. On the other hand if Rashad is on the title track he needs to be able to beat Tito! I personally don’t think Rashad can beat Tito, but at least the UFC is giving us a great match up!

The only way Tito can win is with the help of the judges, Rashad is not an old dude (aka Shamrock) that Tito can push over.
Rashad by kick to the head, there’s no way BroCop can miss that head.

I agree with TRavis – Like I said before; You either love em’ or you hate em’ (Tito Ortiz).

I think Evans will surprise a lot of people that night. He’s one of my favorites and I’m glad the UFC has given him the chance to prove himself against Tito.

Tito literally sucks… this will be a great fight to showcase Evans, and to put the Tuf crowd in check. Hmmm, who has Tito beat in the last 3 yrs? The Tito nutsuckers are in store for a serious wakeup call…

tito is over rated. I dont know if Rashad is good enough to beat him, but i hope he does.

I HOPE RASHAD EXPOSES TITO, AND TAKES HIM OUT REAL QUICK. TITO IS A CLOWN WHO’S RUN OUT OF PUNCH DRUNK SHAMROCK FIGHTS TO WASTE TIME.

Looking forward to this fight, Rashad has some pretty explosive takedowns probably some of the best Tito has come across. I think Tito will definately be surprised that Rashad will be able to take him down, whether or not he can keep him down and finish him, is another question.

Before the Salmons fight I would have thought Rashad would just dominate Tito. Salmons showed Rashad (while still pretty bad ass) isnt as dominant as a wrestler we all thought. Good thing he learned how to kick… LOL. I think if both fighters stay active this could be one of the better fights weve seen.

SIgh, unfortunatly I think Titos gonna take it via boring ass dry-hump and thump. Definitly not looking forward to seeing that fight, or any fight that has Tito in it.

i would never, “NEEEEVVVVEEEERRRRR” give rashad evans respect or a title. he sucks at life and sucks at fighing. i would like to see him fight chuck tho non title just to see his shit get pushed in. evens being in he ufc is on of the biggest mistakes in the history of time.
by fearsy on Mar 31, 2007 5:59 PM EDT reply actions
Fearsy, Rashad will beat Tito Ortiz, because Rashad has better Wrestling, and a more proficient striking game. I believe that this fight will suprise many people, as to how good Rashad Evans stand up really, he is stronger then Tito, so with the right Takedown defense utilized, along with his superior speed and power over Tito, i really dont see how Rashad can lose. Tito is too egotistical as a fighter, he will learn against Rashad that underestimation, can defeat the greatest warrior……

stop hating on tito you fucking noobs!
no one’s hating on tito dude, the facts are tito hasn’t fought any top caliber opponents in 2-3 years, and rashad is one hell of a fighter.tito better watch some evans tapes and hone up on his wrestling or we’re going to have another couture – ortiz scenario. ugggh jenna ,she’s been with way too many men to hold my interest. that shows the kind of guy ortiz iz. lol

umm…. he fought chuck lidell…the light heavyweight champion of the world…. and that was how recent? titos wrestling is solid and hes been training his boxing so much. you guys are underestimating tito in my opinion. please stop making this thread into a hate topic as usual.

I think this will be a explosive fight they both have something to fight for. Tito has not impressed me at all in like 3 years all he has is old man beatdowns a few nobodys and some loses, also a fight he should have tied against forest. Rashad has not fought anyone up to titos level before though but he has a lot of skill and athleticism. Look for rashad to be the one taking tito down but tito reverseing it. This fight is won on the feet in my opinion and im going with my heart not my brain and saying rashad although im not a Tito basher i just think he is done.

yep he fought chucky and lost twice! way too much jawin from tito, now if he had a record like fedor’s , then let him jaw . but as it is, he should can it, no-one cares, only the gullable.an opinion of a spectator towards a fighter does not constitute hate dude. tito is a second tier fighter in a packed and talented division, and unless he can dominate and blowout a regular like griffen, which he couldn’t, he ain’t worth the hype.

TITO sells tickets! He’s the guy you love to hate! I have been a fan of Tito’s since he burst onto the seen as an alternate. He has kicked some MAJOR ass and has also been on the receiving end of a few beat downs with no excuses or complaints!! So back off all you nay sayers!! His stint on The Ultimate Fighter TV series as a coach showed his lack of ego and his true dedication to the sport! TITO is here to stay and is no doubt a future HALL OF FAMER!!! What have you accomplished?
by SCORPION on Apr 19, 2007 8:07 PM EDT reply actions
Tito does sell tickets. but this is about Tito’s respect now— not selling tickets. He has to win this or he might sink into depression. I don’t know much about rashash or whatever his name is, but maybe his opponent in July might just be a paper tiger for Tito to walk through? After UFC 70— and the fall of cro cop… I don’t know… there are no more given fights. I thought Gonzaga was a goner and now look who is fighting for the belt??? unbelievable.
